I went and watched bursardo's beginners video. I'm cool until the ohms law and math equations start. Then I just lose the plot. I'm an English and fine art major. This is basically my list of requirements, an inbuilt battery, 1.5 pre made atomizers , Pyrex tank that's large capacity, and Vw. Safety features.. . Yes, I have to import, no nicotine sold here. So it's usually a us or uk product. And if I don't like any of the ones she's got, I'll at least finally have an idea about them. I've never seen a box mod in use, except in videos. Once I have the tutorial, I'm hopin, I could then go through an online vendor with a better understanding of what the heck I'm buying and how to use it. It'll be fine.
Both of the manger products she has take batteries but both can be charges while in the mod and both have pass thru so can vape while charging

Still, 2 months off smokes.

That's what really counts! Kudos...

And yes, I agree with the iStick TC40W and Nautilus BVC topper setup. Recommended that combo earlier, in that's what I use daily and am very pleased with the no-fuss operation and performance.

Believe it or not @Iffy I have 2 Nautilus's going one on the TC40 one on a Provari plus 6 STM with Ti. I like the higher octane juice with the Nautilus.

I gotta say I like that little TC40. I bought it for Ginny but as of yet hasn't given up the ciggys. I am vaping 6mg on one and hers I have set up for her and its about 12mg so I can only hit that one occasionally or I get dizzier then I already am. I can't get over how well it vapes at 16w and how long the battery lasts.

yep, I've still got your suggestions written down. The hard part ere is finding all the bits in stock, and then teaching myself, not understanding the settings.
It was between an I stick tc40, nautilus bvc tank and this is saying nautilus coils. That'd be 1.5 atomizers?
The other was an innoken coolfire4 plus with i subtank and innoken coils, that does mean atomizer, doesn't it? Does that sub stand for subohm? The users manual must address settings? Plus, I've had a very kind offer of assistance, although it will be long distance. I still foresee button toggling hell, with numbers I don't have a clue about, but if you guys have used them, and think I can do this without ohms law under my belt, I'm just gonna order on payday. Which one? Biggest thing for me is really easy draw. Don't think I'm ready for messing with seperate batteries. I need to keep it simple. Big tank. And thanks, all, I'm just nervous about making the leap. I might just look for the easier tutorial video.

I would have to look up the exact models but yes sub usually means sub ohm.
As for settings. On a REGULATED device (specifically one with protection circuits) what I do is start around 14 watts for a .5-.6 ohm coil and then just bump it up .1, vape, bump it up .1 vape.... keep going until I get a taste I don't like then back it down.1. Really you can do the same with higher ohm coils you just might find you need to start in a different place.

I know Kanger coils have a suggest watts range printed right on them. Maybe what you have does as well. Just start at the bottom and work your way up until you get the vape you desire.

Be sure when you order that you get extra coils and possibly a second tank. I would tell you a second mod if you could afford it. Backups are key especially when first starting out.

I run Kanger subtanks/toptanks but I use the rebuildable deck that comes with them (you can do either rebuildable or purchased coils with those tanks) So I don't have to worry about running out of purchased coils. I just wind a new one if I need to. ;) When I was running purchased coils though I typically went through 1 -2 a week depending on how cloging the juice I was vaping was.

Edit : I don't know a whole lot about those tanks in particular (I can look them up if you don't know) Do they have adjustable airflow? If they do then just open up the airflow for a more airy draw. I run my subtanks wide open.

I keep mine wide open too. The tanks get crazy hot. I'm gonna have to use these vaporfi sub ohm as back ups for now. Maybe I can sell the one that's still packaged. But I'd feel a bit guilty, unless they were already familiar. I'll have a look at videos for both, and availability in au. But I don't want subohm. The technology and number of choices went from 0 to 100 over there, while I've been down under at a standstill. Ta I went thru this the first time trying to choose, there are so many with so many options it gets to be too much.

Many of the tanks called subohm actually have greater than 1 ohm coil options. I know the subtanks have a 1.2 ohm option.

Subohm is not necessarily something to be afraid of. It just requires a little knowledge. I don't recommend people start with it however.

The Kanger Subtank is just the name. They have heads with coils in them up to 1.5ohms. I build mine if I am using Kanthal to 1.5. It doesn't have to be subohm with the Kanger it is a very versatile tank. The Nautilus the heads are I believe 1.5 and 1.8. I just don't care for subohm because it is too warm for me. Don't forget another mod which is a Joyetech VTC mini. It is an excellent little mod and has capabilities for VW, Titanium, SS, and Nickel so if you ever got into that it's there but you don't have to use anything but the VW. I tried my Nautilus that I have on the TC40 on my VTCmini and the VTC was a smoother vape plus it uses regular batteries which I like. That VTC mini is probably the best one of the bunch in that price range. And the Nautilus is excellent if you don't plan on wrapping your own coils. The Kanger gives you the choice of prebuilt heads or DIY coils. The Kanger also has heads (prebuilt coils) that are subohm. Either one you can't go wrong. I haven't heard much about the Cool Fire.

As far as setting the buttons up you just do like Myranny said and start at 14 watts and if you want it a little stronger you just hit the up button once you get it where you like it you just forget about it. Thats where it stays.

yep I have a VTC mini. But he didnt want a replaceable battery. My only complaint with the VTC is that the more squared off shape if much less comfy in the hand than the Kbox mini. But the VTC is one SOLID device.

I'm not for sure Myrany ( see I spelled it write) but I think Kanger stopped making the 1.2 and went to 1.5 or they make them both but I do know they have a 1.5 now.
It is quite possible since I use the rebuildable deck I have not kept up with it.

I've been doing sub ohm since day one, I thought big clouds meant more of a throat hit. I just had no clue. Aside from knowing that it's easier for the current to pass thru at sub ohm, I know nothing. Just wanted to quit smoking, and as chain smoker and vaper, thought lots of vape and Nic would give me the best shot. And that it's a hotter vape, particularly when you can't adjust it. If you're game, have a look at thevapestore.com.au they respond quickly to emails, I can call them if needed, and they have a few videos that I can follow, pretty well. Suggestions?

And if you end up with the Nautilus make sure you order the BVC heads. They come 5 in a pack. And I use the rebuildable deck also unless I am feeling lazy since I have 11 of them I had 22 heads that came with them. I only use the 1.2 the .5 is just too hot. I have 8 mods going all with different flavors. I like to switch off a lot.

3 REOs all at .7 ohm, 1 P3 with toptank mini at .6 ohm, 2 KBox minis with subtank minis at .6 ohm, 1 VTC mini with a SMOK TFV4 with the dual Clapton coil in it (hate this atty btw it leaks like a ________ until it builds up a vaccuum), one P2 with an old fashioned protank 2 on it 1.2 ohm coil, 1 P2 with a carto tank + diver at 1.5 ohm. All different flavors.

I also have a stack of old ego batteries + CE5s for days when my hands are not working right.

Kanger Subox Mini Kit I have 2 of this kit and it is terrific. BUT it is a removable battery though you can charge via USB if you want to.
Kanger Topbox Mini Temperature Control 75W TC Kit is the updatd version of it

Evic VTC Mini 75W Temp Control Box Mod is the Mod Legs was talking about and is a good solid mod. Once again it is removable battery but you can charge via USB.

Smok TFV4 Sub Tank is the tank I don't much like because of the leaking.

I am assuming this is the nautilus you are talking about Aspire Nautilus and it does indeed have adjustable airflow.
