a kind soul from the porch is forwarding all the way to au an I stick 40 with nautilus. Including extra coils, jeez. What generousity! The pay it forward is alive and well, above and beyond. I was just about paralysed with indesicion. So, it's a real blessing, and my thanks. Hope I can do the same eventually, but not with these vaporfi things. I can quit spinning my wheels, thank goodness.

So many kind souls here. Glad you will have a good, reliable setup that you don't have to worry about! You are going to love it! (and the gifter). I thank you, who ever you are!

I bet I know who that is. One of the nicest. @Myrany what kind of a coil do you have in that Smok? If it's a subohm you might try a 1.5 lots cooler.
The CLP2 that came with it LOL. That is the dual clapton premade coil. I was gifted the thing along with the VTC Mini. A belated Christmas gift from a young lady I've been mentoring on vaping for the last several months. I have yet to buy any coils for it since the leaking is just driving me insane. I do have the rebuildable deck for it though. The flavor is amazing though.

@Myrany I take it that Smok doesn't have a juice control. Seem like a must have for topfill tanks. I don't have any but have heard that from others.
Nope it does not.

@Legs

Just a FYI the topfil version of the subtank mini (Toptank) will do the same thing with the leaking BUT there is a way around it. With the TopTank you just have to vape it until the liquid level is below the lowest juice hole on the coil before filling it. At that point it either does not leak at all or only minimally. The pressure equalizes itself BEFORE you open the top to fill it this way. My one Toptank I just take the base off and bottom fill it exactly like the regular subtank mini.

The problem with the SMOK is the juice holes continue so far down into the base of the atty it is pretty much impossible to do this. You don't really have the option to bottom fill with the SMOK like I do with the Toptank.

Well I just wrapped my first spaced Kanthal coil. 28awg 3mm 7 wraps 1.5 ohms on a STM. I've never tried spaced on Kanthal with TC everything is spaced but I heard about doing spaced with Kanthal and it does work better much better.

Nice! I've been doing spaced coils with everything for a little while now. You should also notice that they tend to gunk up a little slower than contact coils. My favorite coils right now are single strand NiChrome, spaced, and 3-4mm I.D. with rayon wicks... that build is keeping me very happy lately. :D

Awesome! This is a perfect set up! Portable, fixed battery, great flavor tank that holds a lot of juice! The draw is tighter, but you can slipstream air around the drip tip & there are additional voils that will work on it if you decide to change to a more advanced style of vaping. But for a beginner that is just learning & starting the vape journey, this this is perfect. Excellent! I kept trying to point you in this direction, but the conversation kept veering off course into the very things that had you so confused to begin with. I"m so glad someone stepped up! Thank you ECF Angels!

hi Vape

If you're in Australia then I buy hardware at Vaping Supplies and Australian Vaping Liquids

pre-made juice can be bought from many places over seas thats more a thing of finding which company makes juices you like so its an individual thing.

If you're wanting to make juice then I get flavours from Perfumer's Apprentice

Nic from my freedom smokes

Yes vapor Fi are no good , too high priced and i found their juices some of the worst I've had.
Yay! Wolf showed up! Vape? needs another Aussie to help her out like you just did. Whoopieeeee!

Welcome home!

Thanks, I don't think that's shown up at all during my search. Not really wanting to set up a juice lab. Although, I am finding I need to switch it up a bit. I'm menthol, so I Ve got a bit added to everything, but so far not an all day. Maybe just the nature of vaping? I keep trying different brands and flavours, but the $$$ shipping, and I think they must be using a row boat. Some are less than tasty, lol.

Nope, not at all unusual. Many of us have several flavors loaded at all times, and change up during the day. Having multiple toppers and mods (and you need backups, anyway!) makes it easy. And who wants to eat the same food at every meal, anyway ;) (And some have different strength nic loaded in different toppers as well, for stress times :sneaky: :w00t:

While I do have some flavors I could vape all day, not needing to is part of the enjoyment for me.

I too was all about menthol at first. Then mints. Then I branched out into fruits. Now I find I can barely tolerate menthol LOL. Vape is sort of a constant evolution. Give yourself time to find what you like. Also realize the longer you are off Cigs the more your tastebuds will come back and things that used to taste good to you might not later and the opposite as well. Don't be afraid to try something completely different when you need a change.

I literally have 14 mods in front of me at the computer, each with different flavors. Not to mention the 3 pipe type mods on a shelf behind me. With different flavors. Have tube mods and box mods. Still love quacks juices but do dabble a bit in DIY.
Have a pina colada flavor that helps me with vapors tongue. Which I haven't had a problem with for at least a year but got used to it. (pineapple helps me with that)
Hate mint of any kind. Like a cool vape. Usually vape at 7 to 9 watts. Like a tighter draw since, to me, that's more like using a real smoke.
But we're all different. Gotta find our own path. And it ain't easy for most. For me, it was instant because I found the right juice first shot.

No Mike I just use Kanthal in Power mode but all my TC coils Ti are spaced. I have NiFe and Nickel but don't use them for TC Ti works great and love the Temco.

I've been doing sub ohm since day one, I thought big clouds meant more of a throat hit. I just had no clue. Aside from knowing that it's easier for the current to pass thru at sub ohm, I know nothing. Just wanted to quit smoking, and as chain smoker and vaper, thought lots of vape and Nic would give me the best shot. And that it's a hotter vape, particularly when you can't adjust it. If you're game, have a look at thevapestore.com.au they respond quickly to emails, I can call them if needed, and they have a few videos that I can follow, pretty well. Suggestions?
The cool fire is a good mod. I don't know anything about the isub. The nautilus might be alitte tight on airflow mine is but not as tight as your using now. IMO I would go with the kanger subtank more coil options then the isub. Will work on either mod. If you need help just ask many great people here on a few other forums that sometimes get crappy when asked a simple question.

See, I don't like a warm vape. Don't like airy, either. Mouth to lung here. Which is why I got used to the I30 and never switched. (yeah, the tank everyone loves to hate) Yes I tried the kayfun and nautilus and russian and 9,747.2 others. None worked for me.
Sub? TC? No reason to try. I'm content. Just seems to me it would be naturally warmer. Exactly what I'm looking to avoid.
I was always taught if it works don't fix it. Had a friend that used ego batt. And ce5 for 2 years and liked it. Saw other people using mods and bigger tanks and just had to try and hated it traded me a subbox mini kit for 2 spinner batt. and a couple vivi nova minis and etc and loving them.

Agreed! Besides Ellen having a tuphph time to begin with, our 'help' wasn't helping much, if at all.

Tickled she's gettin' a suitable setup she can grow with at her own pace!

Ellen, since we now know what you'll be receiving, later today I'll post a few hints fer your initial setup. Dat's assuming your benefactor hasn't already done so. Oops, dat sounded a lil' crass. My bad! Just LMK if dey haven't...

We just want to get ya to a happy place/vape!

I just got my stab in the dark Mt baker juice. I have menthol back stocked, and wintergreen. It's finding other flavors that's been pretty hit and miss. The bananas foster was the best of the lot. But don't generally like fruit. Coffee flavors are ok, thought I'd try halo next. Taste is so subjective. Inhaling cereal just strikes me as unnatural, but to each their own. Would love to hear everyone's favourites, gives me a place to start.
