Uh oh. That's shiny.

Yep! I just did a l'il digging. It's a (replaceable) 14500 battery, and measures 16.6mm O.D. So, they're pretty skinny and would probably be easy to throw in a pocket with an Evod atty. ;)

I'm with Deb on that. While extremely rare, a faulty dongle type charger could destroy the computer. (No, I don't know of any instances of it happening, but I don't want to be the first!)

It happened to me while using a pass through a few years ago... Fried the mother board back through the USB port... Luckily at that time it was one of my old laptops that was on its last leg anyways, but did lose quite a few pics we had saved on it...

Cotton or Rayon?

Cotton. I want to like Rayon and it vapes really well. I just can't get past the caustic soda and other acidic chemicals use in its production. Yeah, I'm aware of pesticides used to produce cotton, but organic cotton is a little better in terms of controls used to prevent contamination.

I don't wick quite that tight. I use cotton, so when I juice it & it soaks up the juice, it expands enough for full contact. I cut the nds the way you do. Just barely touching the deck. I glue them to the sides of the post bocks so them stay in place & away from the juice holes. Works great.

What I found over time was that the wicking in my coil was sagging enough to create a space at the top of the coil, even if it was filled when I first juiced it up after installing. That produced some crappy vapes. I experimented with various widths until I topped out at the method I use now. There are several videos that support the tight wick I described. What I've found is that I can get my best vape by ensuring that there's no space at the top of the coil. The trick to making a tight wick work is sawing it back and forth once it's in the coil to shave off the excess. That leaves you with a wick that fits perfectly, accepts juice at higher wattage if you want, and has no tendency for hot spots.

We all do what works for us. ;)

For those that seldom leave the Porches, take a look at this:
Massively important report on vaping from major British medical group

I think things may be starting to swing our way, largely because of this!

Good afternoon everybody. I missed morning. Slept in knowing for the next three days I'll be babysitting grandchildren while Mama goes to visit Oma in hospice in GA. I'm glad to be able to do it for her, but need your prayers to get through it. I've had them for a day and overnight, but never three in a row.
By the second day, you'll be in the swing of things. You can do it!
Here's a mod that's been out for a while. Have another friend on here that absolutely LOVES them. I think he's probably got about 2 dozen of them!
Hybris VV Mod
I love the Hybris. It has the same controls as the Rider Robust, but it's better made. It's basically a Twist with a replaceable battery. I have several.
I usr the Istick 20 or 30 watts for out & about. They aren't pen style, but are very slim & tiny. Very pocket friendly. 19mm sit on those nicely.
If having a replaceable battery isn't important, the iStick 30 is the best small mod around.

Bummer about the pics. Probably don't still have the laptop, but the drive could have been pulled out, connected to another computer, and then copied over.

And exactly why I don't, and don't recommend, charging (or pass thru vaping!) from a computer! I have numereous 18650 mods that boast USB charging - but I just swap batteries anyway. Charge a few when there's enough :)

I'm thinking of replacing my old scratched up chrome iStick 20w with the iStick 30W. I rotate a number of mods depending on what I'm doing. My two favorites for around the house are the Smok Koopor Plus 200W that I vape at 10W. Bought that one for the dual 18650 battery capacity and the TC control that actually doesn't work right because of the firmware. It needs an upgrade.

Other than that I also have an Innokin Cool Fire IV 40W, an Innokin MVP 3.0 Pro, a Provari V2, and the old iStick 20W. All of them are highly reliable.

I've seriously considered the iStick 30W for my next purchase for an out of the house vape. The only other iStick I've ever owned was the 50W back when it was first introduced. I went through two with failed displays. They both went dark withing two weeks and the local B&M credited my for the purchase price toward the Cool Fire 4.

Everyone I know who has the iStick 30W sings its praises, so that will be my next purchase.

Vapor Bank still has the Smart 30 (I have 2 iStick 20s and one Smart 20, can't tell the difference) for $13.99, all colors, I just copied the link for the silver.

Has anyone who ordered one or more of the Evic VTs from ebay received any shipping info? I received an email right away that it shipped on April 17 with expected delivery April 27 - May 11. Checking the shipping info, just says "shipping info received" and nothing else. Makes me wonder.... I know this is coming from China, but I would have expected some movement by now. At least on the row boat..... (in transit).

If that's the one that was posted for $9 then corrected later to a different and more expensive price, I have a story to tell about all of that.

Where is the story? I guess I need to cancel it and try to get my money back. Darn, something told me it was too good to be true. Glad I asked!

I like the performance and longevity I get from rayon. I use Delasco rayon balls not the beauty parlor stuff. I'll over look any manufacturing processing. After what I've already done to myself by smoking for 45 years - I'm not concerned about all organic wicking material. Then look at all the poo-poo on using Kanthal, Titanium, Nickel, SS wire and what 'fumes' could be coming off the wire. It'll drive a person to smoke worrying about all that. I just vape it.

I looked at that item on ebay. I did not give out a credit card number or indicate in any way that I was going to buy it. So last week I get a letter from ebay that the seller has filed a non payment complaint against me and that I have until 4/29 to pay for it or the order will be cancelled and to take care of this matter to contact customer service for the next step. My first question to myself was, "Or what?". I have no idea how to prove a double negative. I just filed the notice in the virtual wastebasket and chalked it up to being ebay.

I have three of the Eleaf iJust Start Plus kits. Absolutely love them. They have 19mm Gs Air 2 tanks with 2.5ml capacity. Very light and easy to wag around, and I like the flavor. You can get them in the $20-$25 range. I got lucky and got mine on closeout at 101 Vapes. Unfortunately, they sold out. I was going to get a couple more.

ETA: Oops. I meant to quote @medleypat from above, but I'm sure you'll be thrilled to learn about my Start Plus kits, Kenna. :D
I'll have to chack on those. I'd just want the battery, tho.
