Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Four

Since last night, I've been trying to get past the sentiments expressed in posts about cloud chasing, here and elsewhere. I find that I can't. It feels too much like victim blaming.

So, whom shall we derogate next? Perhaps the FDA acted because of dual users -- See? vaping doesn't necessarily replace smoking, and anyway, how dare they not quit the same way I did? Or, perhaps it's the fault of those who like sweet/cereal/tobacco/...-flavored juice, because we all know that kids like those flavors. Right? Or, maybe it's that guy whose mod blew up, because weren't we all under the radar before that happened? I suppose it could be those darned cloud chasers, who had the audacity to challenge one another to competitions to see whose lungs were biggest -- instead of just smoking.

Please forgive my sarcasm; it is where I go when my coping mechanisms reach their fail point. Here's the thing. The world is not a just place, much though we wish it to be. Bad things happen, as we've all witnessed this week. To blame any category of vaper is neither helpful nor honest. We are better than this.

Why not just use the 510 adapter? IStick 20's are known for the threads going wonky. Just screw the adapter in & leave it there.

That is what I did with my old Vamo and is probably the only reason the silly thing still somewhat works. I just left an adapter in it constantly.

Actually it is pretty much what I was trying to say myself though our Birdie said it far better than I managed to. The blame belongs squarely on the ANTZ and the FDA. Not on any one group of vapers.

I love all our Porchers, too. Your kindness, support and affection, so freely given, means the world to me. This is an extraordinary and, at times, magical place; I stand in awe.

I want to be clear that my earlier post was directed at no one, specifically, and all of us, generally. I believe with my whole heart that our strength comes from standing together, even when we disagree on finer points. This is who we are, at our very core.

I totally agree! However, we are a family and families will have pointless squabbles (only pointless depending on who's side of the squabble you are on). I love my family on the porches and value all opinions.
I haven't been online a lot and have only been able to keep up on the front porch. If you have been paying attention to the news, you know there have been some rather severe storms and tornados here in Oklahoma. When the storms roll through the barometric pressure changes and it really plays havoc with my pain levels. So I have been spending time making juice and clearing out my wimp cellar and keeping it cleaned out. It has the tendency to seep water through the small stress lines on the floor. One of these days I will remember to seal the floor when we have a good stretch of clear weather.

I will no doubt continue to resupply stuff as I use it until I can no longer get it but the worst of the damage to the budget is over.

Now I just gotta find out what kind of wire I need for NR in case my pre-welded wire supply ever runs out. LOL
