Just put a 1.48-ohm coil in a new EhPro kayfun v1 clone (yep, built that bad boy myself). I'm getting just a hint of a scorched taste. I've noticed it from time to time on the other kayfun I have in use. I have no doubt it's a wicking problem, even though I was mindful of how I did it. It's not so bad that I can't vape it. Just doesn't taste good. What would you folks suggest? Too much wick? Too little?
(FYI: I using KGD organic cotton)
Well, there's the problem, cotton!

Yes, pics would help... but cotton tends to swell a tad when wet. Too much, and after swelling it may choke off the juice flow. Too little and it may lose contact with the upper parts of the coil, and scorch.
And did you start at a lower than normal power setting, and saturate the wick with juice before firing up?
I generally have multiple KFs going, all with different flavors, so when I clean/rewick, I'm never sure what flavor is going to go in. So I saturate my wick (rayon) with unflavored at my usual nic. Then start at a lower power level until the flavor of whatever went in starts to come through before taking the power up in steps.
