Amazon Prime. No shipping. Ginormous box. :)

I thought I read that you use a bit more rayon than cotton - i.e., tighter in the coil. Is that right? Also, I don't "break in" a cotton bacon wick. Should I break in a rayon wick?

If everything is thoroughly juiced up, probably not. I just always do, just so it has time to survive a few bumps and "settle in"

Anybody ever dealt with Origin vape? I'm thinking real seriously about ordering a kayfun V5 and they say their in stock but everyone else sold out in a couple hours so it makes me wonder.

Been good for me.

My main attraction is that you apparently just stuff as much as the coil will allow because it shrinks when you put the juice to it.

Pretty near :)

Ok, well your way of doing rayon was easier than other ways I've tried. Someone sent me a lil bit, and I tried it a few times, then went back to cotton. If you have the sally's kind, would you roll it into a semi tight roll or not do ya think? May ask my birdy to toss a lil bit in a regular envelope with a stamp for me to try again when she gets hers.

Er, yeah, sorta, if we mean the same thing by semi-tight!

I generally build on a 2 mm mandrel. Sally's / Graham is cut to a length that's easy to handle. Each length is typically good for 3 or 4 wicks. I keep a couple Altoid tins with strips from the coil at my build area, so I don't have to have the box out :)

thanks. I usually do 2.5mm or 3mm so I'd prolly get either 3 wicks or maybe two and a little left over I think from a length. My semi tight, is not rolling it hard like you would with play dough, but just a little pressure, so it's all stickin together good and a nice round roll????

Yesterday I did another good deed. There was an argument about money going outside my door, so I stepped out to intervene. One person complained about not having enough money to buy cigs, she was both angry and crying. I went in and grabbed a high-nic disposable that I bought several years ago on sale and never used, and gave it to her.

The ex-cigar-smoking kid stopped by, and wanted more flavor in the bottle I had mixed for him.
That's wonderful, thank you for sharing. I really wish I could find just one person to help.
surevapes has the boge kayfuns on clearance for 6.99 add in DAD40 to take 40% off that and free shipping 0ver 10.00..Kayfun Lite Plus Clone | Kayfun Lite Plus V1 Clone | Kayfun Atomizer | Sure Vapes
Gordon, thank you, wish you posted more on here. :)
Um, ordered rayon? Methinks the shipping will be more than the big box at Sallys!

Once you figure out the density of the wick (and yes, it does vary depending on the material!), KFs for tootle and modwomping are easy. And, of course, KFs aren't really made for - or good for! - sub-ohm cloud chasing.

I'm lazy, and generally can't be bothered with all the fancy steps. With roughly equal amounts on both sides of the coil, I put the vapor chamber back on, stuffing both ends of the wick through as I do. Even them out, cut about 1/8 - 3/16" above the top of the chamber, and gently push the ends down on both sides of the block, fluffing out as you go. Toothpick works well for that, although now it's probably another tobacco product....

Wet with juice, put the chimney on, and put a drop of juice on the end of the chimney to lubricate the top cap o-ring when you finish.
Thank you for that.
Just got informed by my nic supplier that delivery is "Signature Required", so the "funny business" has already begun! Wasn't that way a month ago........... :-x
Please, please, please tell us what vendor.
I posted this in the other thread but you guys might as well see it too.

On the deeming thread folks called the number and the person answering had no clue what was going on, just transferred them to another number where they were equally clueless. They also hammered DWMHA's FB page. Pretty funny, but not in light of what the average driver must think when they see that BS. :(
When working with cotton ... use enough to fill the ID of the coil yet offer no resistance when pulling it through. It's probably better to err on a bit too much than too little. You just don't want a tight fit when it's going through the coil. (Now rayon is just the opposite).

A bit of a learning curve when 1st starting out w/ rayon. You really want more than you think. You should have a decent amount of resistance when pulling it through the coil ... just shy of deforming the coil as you pull it through. If it's too tight and won't got through at all .. you can grab each end of the length of rayon and pull to stretch it out. Then try pulling it through he coil again.

Or you could use the 'double insertion' method. (Iffy shut up!). Make two wicks each about 1/2 the thickness of your desired wick. Twist an end on each of them to a thin 'starter' taper. Put one in from each side of the coil and pull the tapered ends until the wick gets good and snug in the coil. Then continue trimming / tucking etc.

I think you've been answered but a bunch of folks in the authentic KF5 thread have bought from them.
Thank you. I must be over-stuffing my cotton lately after under-stuffing it previously. I really need to rewick more often so I get a better handle on it. :(
So why didn't you do that with me instead of making me sit on the lobster pot all the time?
You bought them from ProVape right? Over the years I bought 6 of them and that's the way every one came.
Mine used to come signature required, before they even came in boxes. I don't think the blems did. Then they reduced the price, came in bubble wrap again, had reduced shipping and were tossed in a locker for pickup. Now the blems are coming in boxes but with reduced shipping unless you buy a full priced item (extension tube in my case) of which you must pay for priority mail. Bet if you buy a Radius you will have to sign for it. Covering their butts, and I don't blame them, but sometimes it's weird.

I had too, but I didn't wanna quit, I really enjoyed smoking!

Thanks hun. I'll figger out sumpthin. Don't wanna miss those sales. The surgery is a blocked urethra. He's now had either 6 or 7 surgeries to open it up, but he scars aggressively so it doesn't stay open. One of those surgeries was to put in a suprapubic catheter, so he's been piddling into a bag from a tube in his belly that goes into the bladder. They removed that, and opened it up again. There was much less to repair than other times, so we're hoping it will work, but also realizing that it's blocked back up every time. Just have to wait and see.

Jup. I could never vape .5 with kanthal, just too hot for me. But recently tried some SS316L wire, and accidentally made .6 ohm dual coils. Wow, not hot with the SS and the flavor was so much better. I'm hooked!
Thanks, I remember the why now just not the history. Wouldn't wish that on anybody. (Okay, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, etc.) When I get in for my leg surgery again--miraculous but minor surgery in this day and age--I'll think of your son and stop feeling sorry for myself, rather abruptly. I truly hope this works for him and the recovery is smooth sailing for both of you.

Anybody know offhand what dimension the O-rings are for your run of the mill, buy them by the pound, 510 plastic drips? I want to get some of the silicone ones off fasttech but can't read the dimensions between bad eyes, bad glasses and a pathetic ruler. Really just need the inner dimension. Thank you.

Mornin, Tutu! You were up late, last night!

It IS weird. My P3's and Radii were signature required; my blem was not (although the site said it would be). So, I figured a Kabuki would be, but the postman left it without a sig. International DHL (Germany or Greece) seems always to require a signature, but I can leave a note on the door. This all makes me wonder what the standard is going to be in a world of deeming...

I've never worked w/ Sally's so I don't know how it comes off the roll. That said, I wouldn't roll it tight or semi-tight just roll it to get it shaped/formed for the wick. That's all I do w/ the Delasco rayon balls.

Yep ... that sounds right.

me too. The 3 I've been trying to help forever, just aren't taking to it.

you've been through a lot of the same stuff with your leg.....so you feel as sorry for yourself as ya need to ;) It's a shame when medicine can do such miraculous things, that they can't seem to fix something seemingly simple. If you can bypass a heart with a leg vein, how come ya can't make a pee tube with one??? lol Or fix your leg!!

I found this in a search, wish they'd posted a link, but perhaps you can post this size in google and find where to get em
What size O-Ring for a 510 drip tip?

Need some advice please. Today, I took a 250ml bottle of 100mg nic out of the freezer for use. It is so thick it will barely pour, like it is on the verge of freezing. Is this normal when it firsts comes out of the freezer? It's Nude Nic, 70/30 VG. I have another gallon of nic in the freezer (top of the fridge type). Should I be worried?

One other thing, I'm waiting on glass bottles to be delivered, so for now, the nic is all in plastic. Should get the bottles this week.

that's normal when you first take it out. Let it come to room temp and it'll be fine. Best thing though, is not to open it til it's come to room temp and you dry off any condensation. Save that tidbit for next time. It'll be fine in plastic til you get your glass bottles. But definitely do what I said when you transfer the others to glass.

Yes, it will thicken when in the freezer, more so if you have it in VG or blended, but even if all PG. DO let it warm to room temp before opening, or you'll likely get some water condensing into your nic. (Won't hurt it, but will slightly dilute it and also slightly reduce it's shelf life.)

Arrgh, Deb beat me to it!

Thanks @Debadoo (and @DavidOck). Will take your advice to heart. I just looked at it (didn't open it again after trying to pour it earlier), and, yes, I can tell it's much more normal now. Whew! Thought I had screwed up the complicated process of putting a bottle in a freezer.
