I'd suggest regulated for now, with mechanical in the apocalypse box...
Ummmm.....remote control?By the way, some of you might find this amusing: I've often wondered why we have to have expensive fuel-consuming internal combustion engines to power our vehicles.
Why not just put a knob on the speedometer cable spindle, so you can just set the speedometer needle at whatever speed you'd like? I'm still working on the prototype.
TC may become mandated by the FDA to prevent formaldehyde production... A tool of government regulation?
Less than they think I'd bet. Maybe bought it tried it and quit using it. Some die hard (2legsshrtRobert CromweI'm post: 16731034 said:I wonder what percentage of Vapers actually use and continue to use TC?

I do my own coils and wicking. Never a dry hit in my T3's, Evods or Mini Protanks.Wanna bet?![]()
My thoughts exactly. Let the others perfect it.Could be, Legs, that soon all regulated mods will be TC capable. But watching the rapid evolution of it... well, I'll let others work through it for me! Once it's a "mature" tech, I may look again.

If I don't pay attention and run the tank dry I may get a slightly burned tasting hit. But never a dry hit. got a couple of those in cartos when first starting. no fun.
so far I do not fool with Kayfuns and other fiddly RTA's so no dry hits.
Maybe the newer fancier ones due it all electronically, I don't know.
Since it was thermostats rather than thermometers that I was talking about, do some thermostats now use thermistors to control on/off for the heating and A/C, instead of using bimetallic strips?Digital thermometers use a thermistor (aka solid state component) to sense temp.
The fiddly I am speaking of is the up to 40 pieces of the atty. O rings everywhere, etc. Itty bitty screw to refill thru etc... I would need a whole bag full of those screws btw.IME, KFs are easier and less fiddly to build than single bottom coils, and I do both. Bigger, easier. No dry hits. If you can rebuild a T3 head, and I know you do, a KF would be the proverbial "piece of cake" to do. You already have the skills and materials, and know how much cotton to use. (Of course, if you switched to rayon, there'd be a slight adjustment.)
Most of them I think. All the ones with digital setting LCD displays do.Since it was thermostats rather than thermometers that I was talking about, do some thermostats now use thermistors to control on/off for the heating and A/C, instead of using bimetallic strips?
Bob I think he's talking about the Kayfun V2. Lots less parts than the V4. Yes the V4 is FIDDLY! You can get a top fill top for the V2 from Fasttech cheapcheap. The fiddly I am speaking of is the up to 40 pieces of the atty. O rings everywhere, etc. Itty bitty screw to refill thru etc... Once you get the T3 coil rebuilding down it is fast an easy and only takes a moment to change the wick/coil.
2 of my T3's have been in constant use for over 6 months with 2-3 tanks per day vaped in each of them. No seals or anything bad yet. And even if you add all the possible separate parts including the coil parts it is only 9 parts.

Yep an no more little mercury filled contact assy on the bimetallic coil either. Banned. So the cheap mechanical thermostats will get burned contacts in not too long of a time period and go bad. They are still available though. Most of them I think. All the ones with digital setting LCD displays do.

The Kayfun V4 is way over engineered and has a gazillion pieces. The KFL-Lites are not fiddly at all. Even Janet now prefers them over her past clear's, vivi novas, Nauty's and GS-airs.

3 screws, and I see 4 or 5 orings.Well, the KF2 series has about the same number of parts as a PT2.... let's see...

plus a couple o-rings...
Yah, the V4 is a whole 'nother animal!
