Thanks, Gary. The custard is also ready made and comes from a company that says no diketones. I've mixed a bit of strong-flavor-1 with custard, before. Strong-flavor-1 was still too strong! So, diluting it will be good

ETA, I'm hoping Kenna's love of custards will ultimately point me in a good DIY custard direction. I love custard, but the diketones thing is kinda worrisome!
I'm a tiny bit concerned about those, but that said since I'm not spending 8-12 hours a day laboring without a mask, locked in a factory that makes butter & cheese powders for popcorn, I'm not that worried about the teensy amount that might find it's way into my juice. I use Capella's v1 vanilla custard, & a drop or 2 of their butter, too, in the few recipes that call for butter. I have Acetyl Pyrazine (I think that's what it's called) for a possible CLR clone since that is where that so distinct flavor/aroma comes from.

ecigexpress is where I got my Capella flavors. I just started working with them so I am not really sure who has the best deals.
ECX, & Bull City prices are the same. If one is out of stock on something the other might have it. Wizard is comparable, but Wizard offers tiny sample bottles for 1.49 so you get enough for 2 - 3 10ml recipes. If you are trying the flavor out for the first time, or it's a flavor you won't use often that's a good way to go & not end up with 10 ml of something you'll never use again. The three are the same on most things, but I've seen Wizard higher on some & they do rebottle.

I added lemon juice as well. Used actual lemon juice right? 2 drops per 5ml. Can't taste it. Sound right?
Real Lemon in the green bottle is OK right?
I guess I got a lot of questions. Not a NOOB, just haven't mixed a lot of flavors. Mostly just the one ADV I use.
LOL! The green bottle is lime! Which I guess would work, too. Yes that # is good. I didn't measure, so I screwed up by just using a few drops in 120 ml mix. Still good, just not as much flavor now.

How much do you use? I've got a GNC a couple of blocks away.
Not happening here. Not using off the shelf groceries to diy, other than lemon juice & vinegar. I get EM & TFA's sweetner, which is sucralose I think. You can also use cotton candy flavoring, which is EM already mixed up.

It is either Stevia, sugar or nothing for me as a sweetener. None of the artificial sweeteners agree with me. Prolly one reason why I cannot vape commercial juices.
The GNC Stevia is just Stevia, some alcohol and PG.

I've bought stuff from Wizard before. Got most of my mixing gear from them. Gonna need a new 50ml graduated cylinder as I dropped the one I had and it broke into a zillion (technical term) pieces.

You guys posting vape stuff on the Back Porch again? :grr:
jup....ya need to come check it out! :p

And before anybody asks, I started The TFA Strawberry Real mixes at 5% and slowly worked up to the recommended 15%. Had to get to 15% before I tasted anything. Do you all think I should go up from there? I understand that too much flavor is as bad a too little most times.
I don't like putting that much flavoring, and one reason I don't want to use TFA. dave sent me some before I'd decided that. But I was at least able to use them to find out which flavors I might want to buy and which ones I wouldn't. I've been using Flavour Art (FA) from Ecigexpress (ECX) If ECX isn't having a sale, then eliquid mart gives you 13 mls I think for the same price as 10 mls at ECX but both times I bought flavors from ECX, they were having a 30% off sale which made them cheaper.
FA's strawberry is also kinda weak. Scott has used that one and Inawera strawberry, and he says inawera is stronger than FA. I think I got some inawera at his suggestion, so may try mixing them, had forgotten about that.

Just a note Andria D says her recipe is a REAL coil gunker, if it's easy for you to dryburn and rewick won't be an issue, but if using store bought coils, that's a consideration. Plus I think it's like 30% total flavoring if IIRC, and that's too much for me.

Found I can vape store bought eliquid if I dilute it with nic base x10. A 30 mL bottle becomes a 300mL bottle.
Wow, you have good tastey buds!

LB, I use sucralose from ECX for sweetner 1-3%, but many do use stevia. I'm sure Iffy can chime in when he sees this for ya also. I'm still learning what works for me and what doesn't, but have mostly been using recipes I've found. I've done better with that than I have making up my own.

Here's a copy, of a post made just yesterday with the same problem you are having. There are several recipes on it. Andria's is there, too. I think her's is closest to what you need. Yes, the % is high, but most premium juices that taste so good have about a 30% total combined flavors.

I got a plastic, lidded, 500ml beaker from Amazon. It's a footed cone shape. I'm too fumbly to light weight glass thingies. I'd be ordering a new one every month. There are some silicone ones now that show 500 mls, too. Plus you can squeeze them to make a spout to make it easy to pour from. Have those one my wish list. I like the idea of those because my little mixer thing will fit & won't clank around inside.
