Congratulations, Kathy!

The Orchids from Vapor world have wonky bottom-fill screws. I exchanged them with some of my spares. It is a fairly universal screw, so you might do well to give up on the ones provided. I was afraid of messing up the base threads from trying to force them. I once had a frozen screw in a base, and ended up tossing the base.

Also, if the post screw is in too tight, don't mess up the screw-head trying to force it. I put some juice on top and in the hole, let it soak in, and used needle-nose pliers to get them to move.

Yep, Bells, a lot of people on the porches have three-year anniversaries coming up in February.

I am now a happy member of the Provarinati. Happiness is much better than pride.
Thanks for the tips. I will keep these in mind as I work with them.

Hey everyone. I wanted to give this group a shout out and introduce myself, since most of these kids I work with call me an old fart :)

This is my 3rd time giving vaping a go. The 1st two tries were with carts and they did not give me the needed overall satisfaction. This time I bought a tank and sub ohm box to start with. Over the last three months, I've bought two packs of stinkies which is what I bought per day before. I've not smoked one stinky in almost a month now!

I do have a slight case of shinyitis. I got a LEMO2 last week, which I currently use and love. Then had to go and order a Hannya RDA because the price was so low! Got some coil building supplies on the way and I already have ejuice mixing knowledge from my last tries.

I am really, really trying hard this time around and I am totally vested in not smoking another stinky!
Welcome JDC! You are on your way. We all started somewhere to get where we are today. The right equipment, nic, and flavors for YOU make all the difference. Any questions just ask. Someone here will have an answer (even if it's not correct ;) ). Everyone here cares and will do all we can to help make this time the final, successful time.

TY for posting about the screws. I thought it was me being an idiot that I cant get that screw out and topfill. It just spins and never unscrews. Doesn't leak though so I am not worrying too much about it.

I have always subscribed to the theory of learning from others mistakes. Wish I would just practice the advice. I have made the mistake of dry burning a new coil and then doing something else and burning my fingers on the still hot coil.

It's a special day for me, 3 YEARS VAPING!!!
Happy Vapeversary to you, Clnire!:banana::thumbs::headbang::rickroll:

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I feel good about this already. One cart I tried four years ago was horrible. The Vapor Zeus, a couple of years ago, was much better. The problem with it was staying in carts and refilling it. I wish I'd a tried a tank to start with, but live and learn!

Hopefully I will get all my new toys by this weekend and I can post my first coil build!

Welcome, JDC! Here's what you need to know about the Porchers: this is the kindest, most generous and friendliest group on the interweb. These folks will support you in every way possible -- and as Clnire said, will soon have you celebrating another milestone! So far, so good :)

Welcome!! And wahoooooooooooo!!!!!!! on a month of no cigs!!! That's fantastic. And so great you gave it another shot. I keep hoping my sil, nephew and my dil's mom will keep trying. they've tried vaping a couple times, encountered problems and went straight back to cigs. So good on ya for sticking with it!! As others mentioned, for me, getting rid of the cravings meant going back to 24mg nic. Still there after 3.5 years but that's fine by me! Can't wait to celebrate YOUR vaping milestones with you!!! Hope you join us on the back porch too and we also have a google chat that someone is in at some point most every day! Tons of great folks here!!!

I have made the mistake of dry burning a new coil and then doing something else and burning my fingers on the still hot coil.
I did that once, and my fingers aren't as calloused as Mike's. It burned, but not for long.

Welcome to The Porches, JDC! And many congratulations on your decision to try again! Sounds like you have some good devices to do it all the way this time, stick with us & we'll do all we can to help you make it stinkie-free forever! The people here are wonderful listeners when you need to vent, & encouragers when you feel like you aren't making it. Remember, it's not the ones you smoke, it's the ones you don't that count. Here's to making them ALL count! :toast:

She speaks the truth also. We excel at spending other people's money. :)
 I may need a few more to catch up, I only have 7 1/2.
Okay, I was exaggerating about the 67. Seems like it sometimes but probably less than 15 and only a couple that are new. You don't have 7.5, you have 7 plus parts! :D But now that you've made me think about it some more, and mine aren't as durable as SS, I'm off to buy a couple more. :( JD, see what we mean about spending other people's money?
