Space%20Shuttle%20Challenger%20disaster.jpg

I was at my parent's house when it happened. Probably smoked a a pack and a half of cigarettes, blowing the smoke up the chimney, trying to come to grips with the disaster before I could stop watching the TV coverage. What a sad day.

I was one of the Managers of a high end store directly across from NASA JSC for 2 years prior to the disaster, & an area resident since 1978. This precious people & the other crews were in & out of my store almost daily. My youngest sister went to school with some of their kids, & they were a part of our community. They were our neighbors. 2 months before the disaster my store was closed & I changed jobs & went to work at a competitor. At the time of the accident I was in a management meeting. One of the secretaries interrupted to give us the news. It was devastating for our community, adults, as well as our children were deeply effected. Every road & parking lot for blocks around JSC were packed & people stood on the sides of the roads until long after dark that night. The cardboard "shuttle" that was sent here when Obama ended the Shuttle progam is an insult & abomination. It would be better to have nothing.

The Challenger, I was working at a bank (IT dept) amd we would go on the roof and watch liftoffs. We all just stood with open mouth horror seeing it happen. I was at a different job (IT dept) during 9/11. Someone heard about it and everyone loaded the news on their computers and another spellbound horror. Needless to say not much work got done either day.

She had her 46th birthday yesterday, and can't help but remember.

awwwwww tell her happy birthday, but am sorry this somewhat shadows it.

The day it happened, I had no more thought of it being my birthday.
I hate too that this is a shadow on yours

Happy Birthday sweetie!!!!!!!!

I am almost ashamed to say that when I first heard about it I thought it was a bad rock radio stations idea of a joke.
That's what I thought when watching the news on tv when Elvis died. I thought it was some sick joke. I think sometimes that's our brain's way of trying to process something that is so bad it can't be true. I remember trying to process 9/11.....it had to have been an accident...... couldn't wrap my brain around anything else..... til that 2nd tower got hit.

The day it happened, I had no more thought of it being my birthday. Such events can ruin a personal celebration.

I wonder about people whose birthdays are on 9/11. :(
Happy Birthday! I was so determined not to forget it on Thursday & let myself get distracted by RL. I'm sorry I forgot!

Thank you! It is somewhat shadowed by this fibro relapse.

Made an appt with my PCP when I went to PT yesterday. Mild body-wide ache. PT suggested that scar tissue is associated with my ankle (injury 55 years ago), so the issue of surgery might come up. On the other hand, if re-injuries to the ankle are associated with fibro relapses, maybe pain meds will not be necessary, long-term. So I got RL, too.

Do you have Medicare? Theyll pay for a cane. PC or PT either one should be able to order one for you. Just be sure you make them let you choose which one.

I don't need one for a short walk, so they won't pay. The medical one from a friend was by my door when I got back, though.

I am just lucky that I have long periods of relative normality between relapses. Of course, it is difficult to remember the bad times, which leads to doing waaay too much, trying to be like athletic neighbors.

Thank you again.

Now, back to vaping. I forgot which porch this was. I recoiled six bases the other day. With two spares, I am only recoiling when a bunch goes wonky, usually at the same time. No use just rewicking, since they don't last long after. Only 2/12 of my juices have any significant gunk-factor.

@jseah - note that the Triton finally has a home base mod... :)
Now I just have to learn how to use it.
NO NO NO! You have to look at it, tell yourself you'll never figger it out and put it up on the shelf. Then go out and look for something else! This is ECF after all. (Just doin' my job, folks)

Belated :bday: 3mg!

My best friend has fibro and she tends to overdo. She lives in PA and this last snow she managed to just shovel a little at a time so as to not overdo. She is miserable when she does too much.

Nice! Looks like a convenient size. Also reminds me of a retro transistor radio.

A little bit larger and heavier than a Disrupter, if that gives you any scale. I think it is even heavier than my SXmini (Thor's Hammer). All those air holes into the battery compartment do look kind of like a speaker grill in an old radio, and the other side has the etched circuit board traces, which isn't very retro, but ... what the heck... Oh well. I have read the destruction sheet twice already and I still can't get anything but a throat burning hot hit, even at 6W. I gotta be doing something wrong.

I think I'm putting this in the right Thread, but if not please feel free to move it where it does belong. I just had to share this experience with all of you.
I just received my Tilemahos v2+; and quickly threw in a 28ga 7 wrap build which came out to 1.69ohm. Filed it with Five Pawns Castle Long Mixology(12mg. nic). Placed it on a SX Mini ML Class and opened the juice control six turns; took my first vape and couldn't believe the intense flavor experience. The BEST FLAVOR that I had ever had in a vape.
Chain vaped for a bit to see if I would get any dry hits, and Not One.
Outstanding Tank IMHO
Thanks Imeo & GG you've developed one great product.

That is one large Mod and kind of does remind me of a Transistor Radio from back in the day. And I'm sure in short order you'll figure out how it works and your Sweet Spot. Enjoy and Congrats on your Contest Win
