Just a thought, but does anybody besides me think it might help our vaping cause if somber even one of these organizations like CASAA would put out some positive infomercial on vaping. Kinda like a Vaper talking to a smoker about there journey to being smoke free and how good they now feel. ?? As I said just a thought I had and thought I would share.:):smokie::firefox:
Getting the Networks to air anything other than that BT sells is the problem. They are pretty much restricted to You Tube, FB, Twitter & other social Media. I think Not Blowing Smoke has gotten a few on air.

Good point, and if BT can't air their Ads then we sure can't

Ok, then. 'Cept for the "just" part!
My Hex Ohm uses a potentiometer. It's a dual batt box. My coils are 1.4 or 5 usually. I just adjust the disl for vapor & flavor.

So I have a Koopor Plus and am finding out it is not very good for tanks (a.k.a. Kanger STM). I have a Magma and a Tugboat. Can anyone recommend any builds for those for a nice flavorful dense vape?
I have a Magma with dual twisted at .9 of all things. I'm not into drippers so muchn but it's great for testing diy. I do like my Prometey. I don't have to drip often at all. The Magma doesn't require frequent dripping either, but more than the Prometey.

Thanks for posting this, Mike. DH's oldest brother was severely schizophrenic; he was diagnosed at 23 and ultimately had to live in a group home with full time medical care. We hated that he smoked (like a chimney!), but saw a direct correlation between his smoking and his ability to function with a modicum of rational thought. Now I understand: it was the nicotine. How sad it is that scientists are apparently dissuaded from researching the benefits of nicotine -- or, having researched, from having findings accepted by the (un)educated masses.
Learned early on in my ECF career that schizophrenics were helped with smoking. Many people that are homeless smoke because they are schizophrenic. Whether they know it or not, it is a self-medicating thing, much like me smoking and my ADHD. Had no clue until I got here. Wished I'd known that when I quit smoking because I would have given the left over cigarettes to the homeless.
I have another one! And a dna 30 that I killed (moment of silence, please) about a month or so after I got it by putting a battery in backwards. There was no reverse protection on the dna 30's. Need to send it in & get it upgraded to the dna 40.
Sorry to hear you murdered your dna 30.

Moment of silence. :(

I had a problem with batteries draining really fast. Then I cleaned my mod, I'd just spaced it for a while. What a difference a clean mod makes! Not saying that's your problem, just reminded me of what I did.
I am enlisted military. I make less than a McDonalds worker now. Answer the question about money? I have it then give it back to Uncle Sam.
Thank you for your service! Welcome to the porch and congratulations for already getting yourself into trouble with Little Bird and Deb. You'll do well here, if you live. :)
I've only been vaping and off cigarettes about a month, and I figure I'll want to get into DIY juices sooner or later. So far, I find all the variety of ingredients and variety of ways to buy them confusing, especially nicotine. So many different strengths, and some seems to come mixed with VG. I also can't figure out how you folks settle on flavors since there are so many brands etc. Anyway, my main goal now is to stay off cigarettes. I've ordered some juices online, and my local vape shop mixes some terrific concoctions, some of which I invent myself.
Welcome to the porch Mike! You're gotten some good DIY advice but wanted to point out that you may want to keep an eye out on what your state is up to with legislating vaping. Some states are trying push 90+% taxes on it, ban interstate sales, etc. You may want to stock up on nic now and worry about the actual DIY at a later date depending on what's going on there.
@skullblade789 , some great sounding recipes there! I have been home extracting tobacco (postly pipe) for almost 2 years now. Although I don't vape NETs as much as I used to, sometimes they just scratch that itch.

Darn, lost my quotes and on my phone so PITA to go back and look, but Mike(?), check out The Flavor Apprentice thread for DIY tips. Bills Magic Vapor just posted a great list of recommended flavors to start with.. Also lots of great recipes. Many of us use flavors other than TFA, but Bill's basic premise works for all.
Grea thread, link to it The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
<----- steeps custard for a month. Can most always find Kenna. Latin is pretty good. Greek, not so much. Fryin pan skills, off the charts! :)

Welcome to the porch Mike. Always nice when new folks join in. Looks like you've already gotten some answer for starting DIYing. Just ask again when you're ready ... can't ask too many questions on the porch ya know.

There's more where they came from ... :D
I *tested* both of them! They work!

Hey @Kenna, it caught my eye that as of today you've avoided 12,000 cigarettes in the last 600 days. At the prices I pay for a carton of cigarettes, that comes to $2,760. I'll get to that 12,000 a lot quicker because I was about twice as dumb as you and smoked nearly two packs a day at the end.

My heart goes out to schizophrenics. What a horrible disease! Thank you for acknowledging their plight.

As to Skully, I warned him that Deb is protective! :)

I don't weld the fry'n pans, that's in Deb's possession! I'm much more subtle. [emoji41]
That you are, darlin. An this lil bird loves it!

Hi, Mike. I saw your earlier posts, but was flitting about. Welcome! You'll get the hang of DIY quickly, hanging around here. There's always someone about who can answer questions, provide advice, and help you to spend your money! :). Oh yeah - ya may have been twice as dumb earlier on, but seems to me yer pretty dang smart. Ya quit, didn't ya?!

I'm tired. Do you folks have any swings on this porch?
Do we have swings? Do we ever! What's a porch without swings?! Welcome, Debi, and rest yourself on whichever swing appeals. 'Cept the one with the purple cushions, cuz it's Deb's, and the one in the corner, cuz Iffy leaves stuff on it an anyway, Iffy's makes funny noises :). How'd ya find us?

Thanks for the welcome, LittleBird. I'm starting to study about DIY a lot right now, but I have lots of good-tasting juice on hand and don't need to be in too big of a big hurry. For some reason, I have a mental block about getting (for instance) nic premixed with vg and how that mixes with the pure vg and pg. Does the calculator figure all that out? I have only tried 70/30 Vg to Pg, and that is working well for me, so that's probably what I'll try first. I'm assuming whatever percentage of VG goes in mixed with the nicotine would be subracted from the 70 percent overall.

Hopefully I was able to help alittle bit.

Thanks, @LittleBird . I was just browsing around trying to find a place to relax. :)
We are a relaxed bunch of people. Very caring, sharing, understanding, non-judgmental group. Birdy warned you about the particular swings, but there are lots of others! Along with rockers, sliders, lounges and whatever ya wish. And thanks for the congrats!

No rush Mike. Ask questions, read the DIY threads, ask more questions, and watch your credit card! It really is not difficult, just don't try and make it too complicated and have fun! You will jave failures, but they are part of the learning process. Pick a few recipes to try and take it from there. You do need a good eliquid calculator ;that will take all the guesswork out. Breakthru Software's ejuicemeup is very popular (for computer) and free. I would post a link but on my phone. Someone will!
