A big welcome to our three new porchers!

My wife's an ECFer also, "Janet H". So like you I have to be careful sometimes talking about getting something 'new'. But I'm pretty safe on the front porch. She spends most of her time on the back porch.

That would be @2legsshrt ... he's a big SX fan.

You remember being 19? What's wrong with you? What bums me out is that I'd been smoking for 7 years by 19 and desperately wanted to quit. Had for years by then but couldn't. Man, if vaping had been around then...

It's not too bad for me, I have never smoked and I don't use nic, I started vaping because I was very over weight, I loved my cakes and sweet things, I found vaping was a blessing for me, instead of a custard doughnut, I would pick up my vape with a custard doughnut juice in lol. Now I DIY lots of dessert juices but I get to keep my figure.

That is awesome! Welcome to the porch. I admit, when I first heard about people using vaping to lose weight I was appalled. Former smoker's prejudice. As I read more stories I saw the light. I think it's an under-reported minority of vapers that vastly benefit from vaping. BTW, taking a potty break is a popular place to stealth vape.

Son got home from the hospital about noon thirty today. Surgery went well. Now it's just a wait and see. he'll be cathed for 3-1/2 weeks (better than the 6 weeks it usually is) then it'll be a 1 to 6 month wait to see if it'll work this time! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support!!!

Anybody got a link with the Kayfuns by either ehpro or tobeco that are in stock and on sale??? Preferable the smaller ones (nothing over 4ml)...

It's startling how many places are sold out of stuff. Reminds me of when WLs would have more nic in stock and would sell out in hours. By the time the general public becomes aware of the situation all hell is going to break loose.

Just letting you guys know I am still around. LLife has been really busy around here for the last week or so. MIL goes in for hip replacement surgery on monday and I have been over there helping her get her house and other affairs in order ahead of the surgery.

Hang in there Myrany and a speedy recovery to your MIL. You've been through enough lately, we're rooting for you and her.

I rebuilt a Rogue, 2 Mantas, a Stumpy and the K3 mini, today. I'm not sure what came over me! DH is in the Outer Banks (on his way home, by now), offshore fishing with his brother. That left me with a quiet day, and I figured I'd do something useful. I build so infrequently that this was a big darn deal -- especially since it took me 4 tries (and 3 shorts!) to trap the *+!%#* legs on the K3 mini ! Hummm... Practice makes perfect, I guess!

Way to go Little Bird! You're a better woman than I. Put it off so long I never get enough practice so never achieve perfection. Gonna be fun the day I run out of new coils.

Strangest thing happened this weekend.
My vape has been tasting muted... replaced the wick once a day and it just didn't help.
so.... checking the Ω and was a normal 1.5... decided to remake the coil at .5 ....
suddenly, I have flavor!!!
I think I've gotten spoiled by low Ω.

It happens. . One of the reasons I went on a coiling is that even my fav juice wasn't doing it for me. I decided to pull out a REO and try that - cept it's coils were beyond salvation. I run dual coils at .5-.6 in the Mantas, and Boom! Happy Vaper! So grateful for options.

Thanks hun. I'll figger out sumpthin. Don't wanna miss those sales. The surgery is a blocked urethra. He's now had either 6 or 7 surgeries to open it up, but he scars aggressively so it doesn't stay open. One of those surgeries was to put in a suprapubic catheter, so he's been piddling into a bag from a tube in his belly that goes into the bladder. They removed that, and opened it up again. There was much less to repair than other times, so we're hoping it will work, but also realizing that it's blocked back up every time. Just have to wait and see.

Jup. I could never vape .5 with kanthal, just too hot for me. But recently tried some SS316L wire, and accidentally made .6 ohm dual coils. Wow, not hot with the SS and the flavor was so much better. I'm hooked!

One person complained about not having enough money to buy cigs, she was both angry and crying. I went in and grabbed a high-nic disposable that I bought several years ago on sale and never used, and gave it to her.

The ex-cigar-smoking kid stopped by, and wanted more flavor in the bottle I had mixed for him.

oh that's great!!! Hope that gets her vaping and off the cigs! Let me know if it does the trick for her but she needs something better.

Just put a 1.48-ohm coil in a new EhPro Kayfun v1 clone (yep, built that bad boy myself). I'm getting just a hint of a scorched taste. I've noticed it from time to time on the other Kayfun I have in use. I have no doubt it's a wicking problem, even though I was mindful of how I did it. It's not so bad that I can't vape it. Just doesn't taste good. What would you folks suggest? Too much wick? Too little?

(FYI: I using KGD organic cotton)

Hard to know, without seeing it. . I prefer wider shoulders and thinner tails (yikes! That doesn't sound quite right!). I trim out the tails, snipping off a bit on the top, bottom and sides, but don't go all the way to the coil. No dry hits and no scorched juice.

ETA, Ima find a great vid for ya. It's on the K3 mini, but I use the same wicking technique on all Kayfuns. BRB!
