Accidentally quit? LOL That's exactly what happened to me. But I STILL keep a pack in the drawer. :)

Yeah I know, sounds weird, but I was quite certain that I would never be able to quit smoking. I liked it too much, but didn't like how bad it was for me. I only tried vaping to help me cut down. I was so shocked at how well it worked, but wasn't sure I wouldn't have a meltdown

I had no interest in how bad it was. I only picked it up for when the grand kids visit. But the right juice made it taste better than cigs.

Gorsh.....y'all are so sweet! Well....I haven't slept at all again. (and it appears matt aint slept much either). But anyhow, I did some more. One, I cut one of the wires off while tightening the screw. One, the wire didn't get around the screw but I didn't know it til I cut the excess off. The third one finally looked like an actual coil. I got it glowing from the inside out. Wicked it. Cut the cotton with fingernail clippers cuz I couldn't find the scissors. And vaped with it. The 4th one definitely looked better than the first one. lol Not sure how I feel about all this just yet.....but at least I did it. lol

Congratulations, Deb! My day is coming, I just can't bring myself to remove this perfectly good coil the KF came with! Plus I think I'll go ahead & get an Ohms meter, too.

I threw my last pack away on my two year anniversary. I didn't want to be responsible for the ensuing fire should I have tried to spark one of them up. Think they were probably a little dried out. Been open for a couple of years.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

You have one in your device. I think they all do these days unless it's a mechanical.

I so wanted to quit. I was only smoking about 1/2 pack a day and.part of that was when ever my hubby nagged me to quit (he quit a 3 PAD habit cold turkey many years ago) I immediately wanted a smoke. I got a bad cold and.could not even smoke. Got real scared. When I started to feel better I tried an ecig and thought "hey, this could work!". Found ECF, bought a decent VV starter kit and never looked back. Hubby still wasn't happy til one day I sat him down and explained. I was proud of his success but I am NOT the same. I would appreciate if he read some info (gave him links to real articles, not propaganda) and that my Dr is happy. I would think he would be glad I finally found a way to get smoking out of my life. Now he openly accepts my vaping and although he doesn't understand the devices he now realizes I finally conquered.

My wife quit for 8 months but had a few things happen and she started with a few. Was going to quit the 1st but she is still smoking maybe 5 or 6 a day. She vapes the rest of the time. She only smokes outside 1/2 of a cig at a time. I sometimes go out and have about 3 puffs but they just don't do it for me. Don;t put out enough smoke my Kayfuns do better. It's hard at first took me 2 years and having to have open heart surgery to make me stop completely. You'll do it but don't make yourself crazy over it. Some people can do it wham bam thank you mam but not very many. You'll get there.

As most of you know it took my doctor telling me that I had lung cancer to get me to quit. Said he wouldn't operate unless I did. Recommended vaping. I had already fooled around with it a little bit, Blu cigalikes and such. Had a friend that was playing around with it too who had a Ego battery rig. So I ordered myself a starter kit and some juice, flavors I had tried with the Blu, and never looked back.

Oh I checked the bottles at amazon and they were more then RTS so I checked RTS and 10 120ml bottles were $12 shipping was $13. I got a bunch of flavors coming and according to Linda at TFA the best way to store them is transfer them to glass and keep them in a cool place. Not refrigerate. I got several 100ml flavors on others from ECX that amount to about 50ml each. The trick is not to open them too much just transfer some to a 30 or so ml bottles. Opening and closing is the hardest on them. Man I see a lot more states besides this one are trying to find ways of taxing the crap out of all of the stuff we use. We vote these Aholes in and all they can do is figure ways to screw us. I think we lived in the last, best era there will ever be.

I've heard of people swishing with pickle juice or using a toothbrush to clean your tongue and rinse well. Not sure what else to try. I find that some days I can't taste my juice as well as others, but it seems to clear up pretty quick. Also, changing the coil or wick helps, I tend to let them go too long.

I drink Apple Cider Vinegar with a little honey in it a couple of times a day anyway, so I just swish & swallow it. It helps. If that doesn't work I go to an opposite flavor for awhile. Seems to wake up my taste buds again.

I did it I did it I did it!!!!

I built my very first coil!! It looks horrible, but my hana says it's a 2.5 ohm coil. A bit more than I was going for, but since I couldn't get online to the coil toy at the time I was wrapping it earlier, that wasn't bad. I haven't wicked it, definitely gotta get better at doin these wrappy things. Ok, so yes, I know all I did was wrap some wire around a screwdriver, and stick the ends under some screws........but, y'all don't know me.......this is a big deal!! lol I used to have a Tshirt that said, I'm mechanically inclined.......I screw up everything. I think I'm gonna save this one, and will do another one tonite, and actually wick that one. Maybe after my shower. Is that just a girl thing to save your first coil......any of you fellers got yurs???

Whoohoo! Nice going!

so, now do you have the courage to try the Pluid?

Guys, check these out. Might be just what the doctor ordered for shakey hands.

The military is probably one of the top organizations in getting people hooked on smoking. I saw this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...on/640455-new-tobacco-products-policy-va.html the other day and saw red. They got those people hooked and then suddenly decided to just pull the plug on them, or put simply, are playing dictator. I'll donate to anybody making a tank with a military symbol on it that gets sued. :grr:

That just ain't right - not right at all. At the very least, they should have given notice/warning and a few months before clamping down on smokers. Dang, we visit a VA hospital w/ long term care wing for disabled vets and some of those guys and gals don't have anything to look forward to besides going outside and catching a smoke. Give 'em a break - they gave a lot for us.

Or The Container Store?

My favorite store! I used to have to wait 'till we visited our daughter in Denver for my annual shopping spree. But recently the opened a store less than 1/2 hr from home. Oh joy!

I'm at 18 right now. I got a couple of bottles of WTA at 24mg. I'm struggling like hell right now.

You're not the only one, many of us had to stay determined and set 'our own' pace. Are you satisfied w/ you 'equipment'? Do you think a change there would help you get a better vape? Not trying to spend your money just looking for other possibilities for you.

I'm quoting Ken_A's post next as the advice he's listed indeed helped me. Janet made the switch w/o a real struggle but in the beginning I wasn't so sure I'd make it. Hang in there - it's 3+ years now - I'm sooo glad I didn't give up. It took a couple-few months of vaping and smoking before I finally let go of the smokes.

This has helped a lot of people:
Draw the vapor into your MOUTH, not lungs
This lets you taste it better
Then SLOWLY exhale it through your nose
This allows the larger nicotine molicules to absorbe through your mouth and nose membranes.
Atomized nicotine is, I think 10x larger than burnt, so not so much is absorbed in the lungs.

Repeat this two more times.

It may make you sneeze, but you will get the "rush" of that first cigarette of the day using this method

For all other times, mouth, THEN lungs, for the "smoke-like" feeling.

oh, yes... And try not to worry about what you are "missing" with not smoking. Concentrate on the vaping experience instead.
if you break down and HAVE to have a cigarette, it's ok... Many people have difficulty switching at first.

Mom's house has a front door freezer that must be from the 70s. We started cleaning it out and actual found leftovers labeled with dates in the early 90s. The whole freezer is outta there as soon as we get back down there.

He, he - when an Aunt of Janet's passed on, she was name the executrix for the estate. She was pretty much a recluse and didn't do much to maintain or take care of the house. In the basement was an old time agitator washing machine. It was 1/2 full of black as coal liquid (dare I call it water). I had no idea what might be living in it. Yuck!

I would say 50mg is a dangerous level to actually vape. I really haven't met anyone who regularly vapes over 24mg. I mix juice using 100mg and wear gloves to prevent skin contact. Not that I think it would kill me or anything but, I want to know how much I am absorbing. 50,g in the wrong hands could easily lead to nic poisoning.

I know one person here at ECF that's been vaping a couple-few years. He started at 36mg, is still vaping 36mg, and has no thoughts of lowering it.

OK. What is WTA?

Someone already said - Whole Tobacco Alkaloids. But why that means is the extraction process from tobacco leaves takes the major (nicotine) and minor (MAOI) alkaloids. The idea is to provide a more 'complete' experience for vaping compared to smoking. One of the 'points' that struck me when I was reading about it, before trying it; was that some studies showed that 'some' people were more addicted to the MAIO's in tobacco smoke than the nicotine. At the time I watched Janet go from smoking to vaping in 1 day and I was still having a difficult time. So I self-diagnosed myself as one of those 'some'. I started vaping WTA and within a few days, I no longer 'smoked'. I vaped WTA for over a year before I weaned myself to just nic juice.

I don't remember who was thinking of getting a Hana DNA40 I've seen some people not liking them on the NI200 Forum. Just thought I'd let you know I think the Vapor Shark is the way to go unless you can afford a Vapor Flask $300. You have to wait for the VS I ordered mine Dec 26th and still hasn't been shipped they are starting to get caught up I am told though. I will wait till I see how I like it whether I order another. I'm not real sure how well this IQ thing works on the P3. I've got a brand new LG HE2 in it and it says the IQ is poor.

Try stretching the spring in the bottom of your P3's end cap. That seemed to be a common response to low IQ in the P# thread. The IQ is the total 'connection' not just the battery health. Dirty contacts, bad atty connection, loose batt connection - any or all can give a low Batt IQ.

Been 3+ years since I had so much as a puff on a cigarette. I still have 4 unopened packs in the shop.
