Welcome to the porch Redruth and congratulations on dumping the stinkies! :toast: You're going to like it here; good folks, good information, good humor.

Twas from someone else that I first heard that warning and I think they even had clever emoticons to go with it. It's one of the reasons why I'm usually on the floor with the pooches.

If I got down on the floor I would be a perminant fixture because I couldn't get up again.

Nice looking dog, Redruth! :)

For whatever reason, I can't seem to post a picture of mine at the moment. Still working on it.

See if this works. El Whacko terrorizing his first snow.

Not sure about the "second batch", but the listed capacity for the KFL+ is 4.5 ml. On a realistic fill, I think I'm getting between 3 1/2 - 4, so you might not need to refill as often as you think. The mini and the "nano" hold less. And naming.... yeah! The nano holds more than the mini...

Good news! It's supposed to come on Friday, which may mean tomorrow ( a bird can hope!). 4 ml will get me through an entire day, evens withh cocktails on the back porch :)

My will power if you want to call it that is beyond most humans.

I don't think i enjoy depriving myself although some may see it that way.

So why not use 0 nic you say ,,, well vaping seems a lot more safe for you than smoking and there may be some daredevil aspect to it - small though.

Home property tax - i wonder if thats what here we call rates.

pay it to the council every year for things like the garbage collection and maintaining parks and other things your council does. its calculated on where you live and the value of your property.

Australian house prices well ok get your house in USA and half its size then double its value.

Well for the average house .
4 bedroom 2 bathroom house here averages $500,000
Not the same, out property taxes go to pay for schools, roads, and to line the pockets of politicians

Wolf, have you contacted the seller to make sure the package made it out of the store? USPS email seems to be down. If the problem persists, I may be able to check through my local post office or find out how you can do it from overseas without have to make an international call.

Okay, procrastination period is over... I figured for only $20 - Why Not... I just broke my over 1 year with nothing bought speech...

That is why I do not come to this thread to much - the Back Porch is so much safer.

Oh, and of course I had to add a few things to the order while I was there - it is all your fault...

But you saved $39.95 and are going to get vape mail. Plus you get animal pictures here for free.

No, I'm a flavor and nic chaser. I'm not able to chain vape at my desk at work, so I need to be able to take a break every hour or two and fully satisfy my cravings in 5 or 10 minutes of vaping, and I appreciate having a really tasty vape while I do it. For both things, being able to produce thick dense clouds helps a lot. I do use some of the tools and techniques that cloud chasers use, but my goals are different (it seems to me that cloud chasers are mostly interested in blowing clouds for their own sake, even to the point of vaping 0mg pure VG. That just seems silly to me, but if it makes them happy, more power to them as long as they don't blow their faces off).

I'm pretty much at the limit of what my equipment can deliver without altering the flavor of the juice, so I can't really see ever going lower. Fortunately, I'm satisfied with what I'm getting now. I can produce some fairly serious fog, but I'd never win a cloud chasing competition, and I'm perfectly OK with that.

Ah, a cloud chaser with an explanation. :D

Well, based on responses from other Nautilus users, I let my joose get down below 1 ml before refilling, with no loss in taste. I guess old dry-hit memories of C4 clearos, with their long wicks, die hard, and I've subconsciously been guarding against those dry hits when I don't need to.

The working capacity of my Nautilus tanks has just improved significantly, removing any urge to get a K4. Thanks y'all!

Well i thought i was intelligent but can't find a usps email to enquire about my parcel being stagnant for 8 days.

Although neither can they as the one i did find they sent back reply saying this is the wrong place for that enquiry but couldn't send me an email to the right place.

Do you have a tracking number, Wolf? Without one, you'll have difficulty finding out anything. MFS should have given you one. With one, you MIGHT be able to check on your package. Enter the tracking number in the box at the upper right of the page here: https://www.usps.com/

It all has to do with how hot the coils and wicks get. This partly depends on the wattage, but also depends on how the power is spread over the wicks, how the airflow moves around the coils to keep them cool, and how much juice is in the wicks. When you heat juice past its boiling point, the power is carried away from the coils in the form of steam until all of the juice has boiled off.

Airflow depends on the physical air channels in your atty, the positioning of your coils, and how you vape (mouth hitters move less air past the coils, so they'd use a tighter draw at lower wattage. Lung hitters suck a lot of air past the coils, so they'd use more air with a more open draw at higher wattage).

Juice flow depends on the construction of your atty. For Kayfun-style attys, it depends on how deep the juice channels are, how big the bubble is in the tank, and how hard you draw when you vape. It also depends on the position you hold the atty in, and the thickness of your juice. Then, there are the wicks themselves, and how they carry juice to the coils. Fatter wicks carry and hold more juice, but can also get choked if the coil is too tight. No juice is drawn into the evaporation chamber when you're not actually taking a puff. The juice that's already in there might equalize in the wick somewhat, but to draw more juice in, you have to take a puff. So, if you can't chain vape three or four puffs without the juice starting to taste burnt, it means your wattage is too high for what your atty and build are capable of providing. Some people take priming puffs to deal with that, but the only real fix is to deepen your juice channels, change your vaping style, or to buy a different atty.

Finally, there's how the coils spread heat over the wick. That depends on how much wire you're using, the gauge of the wire, whether you have a contact coil or a spaced coil, and the diameter of the coil. Contact micro and nano coils use a small amount of wire to concentrate heat into a small area of wick, while multi-strand twisted, spaced, macro coils spread the heat over more area. Single coils concentrate heat into one area while two or more coils spread the heat over more areas.

All of the above factors determine how much wattage you can use to vape before the juice starts tasting harsh or burnt. Some of them can be affected by your build, but many of them are determined by the construction of your atty. The Big Buddha was designed to support more power with deeper juice channels, a dual build deck, and a much more open draw than most Kayfun-style attys, so it's a good match for what I'm looking for in terms of my vaping style. If someone who takes mouth hits picked it up and tried it, it probably wouldn't work at all for them. The draw would be way too open, the coils would take too long to heat up, and the juice would start to taste scorched almost immediately (not enough air flowing past the coils). On the other hand, I had an opportunity to try out someone elses Taifun GT, and I could tell immediately that it was perfect for someone who takes mouth hits, but it was a total fail for someone who takes lung hits.

When I vape, I get a pretty massive hit of vapor, and I can take two or three puffs before I have to put the atty down for a while. This is not because the wicks are dry or the flavor starts to taste harsh, it's because I've just gotten a massive hit of nicotine and I'm done for a few minutes, at least. Every time I take a puff, I get a little bubble of air coming out of the evaporation chamber, so it seems like I could usually chain puff if I wanted to. But, I'd probably keel over from having too much nicotine if I tried.

Thank you! I learned so much about why stuff does/doesn't work from reading this.

^^^ +1

I've been struggling with a couple of my KF clones - I think I'll be trying a spaced coil (normally I compress them) to see if I get better heat disbursement. I just checked my tracking number for my forthcoming iPV mini, and hot DAMN! it's made it from WA to IN in a DAY. I have a good feeling (hope not to be disappointed) that it will arrive TOMORROW.

Also ordered up an RDA (which I never thought I'd do) on which I have the potential to build dual coils. Need to dial in my single coils first, but I guess this will be my next step in my vaping journey :)

Can someone please 'splain me what makes the Nautilus P3 tank better than the regular old normal Nautilus tank? The ProVape website says it has P3 threads and results in a better vape than the 510 threads. Before I hit "Add to cart," I'd like to understand what makes the new one special. Thanks!
