Make sure you buy "high draw" batteries to go with it. You need a battery that will support a 20amp continuous draw. Not that you would probably vape at that high of a wattage right now but, you could possibly set the wattage high by mistake or decide in the future to try a higher wattage set up. If I remember the specs correctly the DNA40 is capable of drawing 18 amps off the battery so you need to have a battery in the device that will handle it. Most sites these days sell them. The common ones are made by Efest (the Efest Purple 35 amp), Sony (VTC4 & VTC5) but they're hard to find that aren't fake (the Sonys). LG and Samsung also make them but I don't know the model #.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I got my Sony VCT5's for my Hana at Skyline Vapor. They say Sony is making them again. I read somewhere that Sony is making them at a different factory now.

Nice indeed! Just a passing thought for ya - if you're targeting around 1.7Ωs you might want to try some 30g wire. It won't take as many wraps and it'll heat up faster as there's less wire.

My LG's are marked LGDBHE21865 (but I've seen the numbers at the end change some between batches) and my Samsungs are marked INR18650-25R.

OKay, educate the ignorant. What is an RTA?

Rebuildable Tank Atomizer.

Hi Philoshop, you just popped in with that answer. Welcome to the porch.

Welcome philoshop!

Mike, I used the 28g because that is what was sent with the mod. I did get my KGD in, & the 38g, & 30g Kanthal I ordered is sitting at the Post office. My little needle tip bottles are there, too. I want to stay around 1.6 - 1.8. Doesn't drain the juice & power so fast. I'm going thru 1 1/2 18650's a day as it is. I know, I know, it's not the watts draining the juice & battery. That would be all me!

Is the coil screwed in all the way? I know I have to check my Nautilus's every time I unscrew for a refill. If I pull on the bottom when unscrewing the base the coil eventually unscrews.

On a Nautilus, da head-to-base should be da last connection to loosen! Get dat puppy (head) real snug and tighten da glass just enough to prevent leaking.

BTW, been meaning to mention dis; prior to installing a new head, Q-tip da base interior. Kinda surprised da first time I did dat...

The 30g may suit you then. Janet likes her coils in that range (1.6-1.8Ω) and she vape around 3.7v/8watts and I've taken to making her's w/ 30g instead of 28g. Her PV's run 18350 batts and seem to last a bit longer on the 30g coils than the 28g's.

I write you today with news that may disappoint some but is a positive and inevitable step Virgin Vapor must take in order to meet current and future regulatory requirements for all eliquid manufacturers. Starting January 15th, we will no longer be offering custom mixes. This includes customized and personal flavors, extra flavor shots, customized VG/PG mixes, or custom nicotine levels.

We are taking this step in order to be in compliance with the requirements of our AEMSA membership as well as to prepare for anticipated FDA regulations

I am SO outdone with this Kanger Aerotank!! I JUST posted last night how good it was vaping, and it has already crapped out on me. I took the tank off to put more juice in it. I put it back on the MVP......NON...............it won't work. Brand new coil...............now, I'm not a violent person, but right about now I could throw this thing against the wall.
I know how you feel! It's happened to me several times my first month or two. There are several thing to check, once you calm down a bit.
There ARE frustrating things about vaping, but when I looked back at the problems with smoking it usually calmed me down.

Yes. The number one cause of faulty connection
Number two, is that the center connection gets pushed in by the center pin of the mod. Wiggling it gently up will help with that.

EDIT:

MVP2? .... common complaint. Some tanks fire, some don't. May not be the tank.

The common problem, the contact pin on the MVP2 sinks down. Gotta pull it up a bit. Maybe shove an o ring under it.

My last hobby was gun collecting so I'm saving no matter what mods im buying!

I collected pets but the two are similar. Once you own them, you keep stuffing things into them and they eject the remnants that you have to clean up.

My hands aren't small but not huge! I watched Phils video too and I was surprised at the size when it came out of the box. I'd say about 2 1/2 ProVaris across and an inch or so shorter than a ProVari in 18650 mode.

I put two ProVaris together and that's about the max I could hang onto. The extra half plus the curve would mean it really would be a two paw operation for me. The plus for me would be being able to stick it in your back pocket without feeling like you had a 2x4 back there.

Quite likely! I've had fresh factory coils with missing or crossed flavor wicks, giving leaks or tight draw, depending. Seems that most of the factories generally get it right, but sometimes a bad batch will go out, then everyone disses the company for months as making junk. Of course, there are the occasional Edsel designs, but.... usually just the random lemon :)

Apparently you didn't get any of those horrendous batches of PT coils. I had boxes where 4 out 5 were bad. And I have a new story about them when I get a second to write it up. :(

Simple? I have not gone beyond mixing 3 flavors. Of course I only got 6 taste buds anyway so not the best taster around.

I haven't gone beyond one, unless you count accidentally mixing a couple together, so you're two flavors ahead of me.

Stop using my picture to illustrate your points.

There is a thread on that here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sion/642424-i-guess-regulations-starting.html Don't know if it will turn into a good debate but it's there.

Meters, either in a mod or external types, aren't all calibrated to the same precision, so that's often the case. And there may also be a bit more contact resistance on the mod versus measuring with some other method. And, as Iffy said, if in VW mode, not a concern at all, being that close.

I was curious when Iffy said that.....now you...... I was under the impression that VW basically just meant that it would choose which voltage to vape at, but why is it better exactly than vw? (If you can splain it without making my hurt, remember who you're talking to)! lol

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a lovely purple Hana.

Kewl!! Didn't know they made em in that color. which is the only true color anyhow. Blues are purples in training, all other colors are dreaming of being purple. I see you did decide on the V3dna40, and purple to boot!!!

I don't like devices where you can't remove the battery either. I do charge my hana through the usb, just cuz it's a pita to remove the battery all the time, but at least I know I can remove it when it goes bad. plus all my batteries are pannies except for the one in the hana, and I was told those really aren't strong enough for it.

I think Phil must be really tiny in real life. He just looks big and imposing on his videos.

Seriously, that was one of the biggest surprises for me when I started buying equipment. When you've only seen pictures and videos on line, everything is MUCH SMALLER in real life. When you watch someone building a coil with a lot of zoom, and then you see the size of the actual build deck... Wow, that's tiny.

Yeah, I don't know about his size, but get the feeling he's not very tall. I do think he has small, but kinda beefy (thick) hands. You're not kiddin.......looking at the first coils, I really did realize how the camera adds at least 10-20 mm!!

My goodness! Where did you all learn this stuff? The last thing anyone should want me to do is muck around with solder :)

You've convinced me; the V3 DNA40 Pack is the way to go. A purple one, just cuz it will make me happy and remind me to be courageous. Now I have to go find one. Be back in just a little bit, hopefully with an order number in hand!

Sweet. Vapemail. Woot!

good for you!!! A nice new shiny might be just the ticket!!!

Someone beat me to it, but I was wondering if it might be the mvp as well. I have a Vtube that I won shortly after I started vaping, and it will give me fits like that. Works, then don't.......then does, then don't. When I got my gripper a long time ago, I just quit using it. At some point I should probably pif it to a tinkerer who could then maybe pass it on to someone who maybe couldn't get one otherwise. Or just someone who needs it.

I got my Sony VCT5's for my Hana at Skyline Vapor. They say Sony is making them again. I read somewhere that Sony is making them at a different factory now.

that's what I heard too, wasn't sure if they were already making them again or that they were fixin to, but heard they'd had to move the factory which is why they'd had to stop making them.

Debadoo, did I see correctly? You're one of only 5 people left in the Battle Pillarz game?

Go, Debadoo! I'm rooting for you to win!

Awwwwwwww that's sweet.....thanks! Jup.....one of 5 but I have two holes in me. One more and I'm a goner. But didn't think I'd last this long, so that is kinda kewl! Still have 3 pittarz who haven't been hit yet.

Yeah that was a bit shocking on the nautilus. eeewwww

Wow.........that's horrible!!! It's certainly beginning! May have to DIY sooner than I'd imagined if this becomes a trend!
