I was curious when Iffy said that.....now you...... I was under the impression that VW basically just meant that it would choose which voltage to vape at, but why is it better exactly than vw? (If you can splain it without making my hurt, remember who you're talking to)! lol

Kewl!! Didn't know they made em in that color. which is the only true color anyhow. Blues are purples in training, all other colors are dreaming of being purple. I see you did decide on the V3dna40, and purple to boot!!!

I don't like devices where you can't remove the battery either. I do charge my hana through the usb, just cuz it's a pita to remove the battery all the time, but at least I know I can remove it when it goes bad. plus all my batteries are pannies except for the one in the hana, and I was told those really aren't strong enough for it.

Yeah, I don't know about his size, but get the feeling he's not very tall. I do think he has small, but kinda beefy (thick) hands. You're not kiddin.......looking at the first coils, I really did realize how the camera adds at least 10-20 mm!!

good for you!!! A nice new shiny might be just the ticket!!!

Someone beat me to it, but I was wondering if it might be the mvp as well. I have a Vtube that I won shortly after I started vaping, and it will give me fits like that. Works, then don't.......then does, then don't. When I got my gripper a long time ago, I just quit using it. At some point I should probably pif it to a tinkerer who could then maybe pass it on to someone who maybe couldn't get one otherwise. Or just someone who needs it.

that's what I heard too, wasn't sure if they were already making them again or that they were fixin to, but heard they'd had to move the factory which is why they'd had to stop making them.

Awwwwwwww that's sweet.....thanks! Jup.....one of 5 but I have two holes in me. One more and I'm a goner. But didn't think I'd last this long, so that is kinda kewl! Still have 3 pittarz who haven't been hit yet.

Yeah that was a bit shocking on the nautilus. eeewwww

Wow.........that's horrible!!! It's certainly beginning! May have to DIY sooner than I'd imagined if this becomes a trend!

VV let's you select the voltage applied to the coil unaffected by resistance so the amount of heat applied by the coil varies by the resistance of the coil thus the wattage (heat) applied to the coil changes with the resistance of the coil. VW let's you set the desired heat level in watts applied to the coil and varies the voltage in relation to the resistance so the wattage to the coil stays the same. Not responsible for brain explosions. YMMV.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Ok........so had to read that read that real slow several times.......... but...........basically the amount of heat supplied to the coil stays the same with VW?? But goes up/down with VV??

On a Nautilus, da head-to-base should be da last connection to loosen! Get dat puppy (head) real snug and tighten da glass just enough to prevent leaking.

BTW, been meaning to mention dis; prior to installing a new head, Q-tip da base interior. Kinda surprised da first time I did dat...

I clean them all around every time i change coils, you're right, it's dirty! I use the hollowed out tanks on my Nautilus's. I've found that after I've refilled the tank a few times the coil sometimes comes unscrewed from the base. I think it's because I pull on it while I'm unscrewing it & the pressure maakes the coil unscrew from the base before it unscrews from the chimney. I just retighten every time I refill.

Yes. In VV mode, you make a specific setting of voltage. If the coil resistance changes, the mod does nothing except apply the same voltage. So the vape quality changes.

In VW mode, you make a specific power setting. If the coil resistance changes, the mod changes the voltage to keep the same power on the coil.

Generally simpler for the user (us) in VW mode, unless you're switching to a different flavor that tastes better at a different power level. But still easier to remember "juice A at 8 watts, juice be at 10" than to remember "juice A at 4.1 volts with 1.2 single coil, and 4.4 volts if the coil is ...." You get the picture :)

I don't know what to do I want to get a couple of tanks for NI200 builds and I made up my mind on the Lemo then I got to thinking and thought no the Kanger sub tank then this issue with the positive insulator in the RBA section so now I'm thinking Lemo again HELP!!!!!!!

Heck then get the Lemo now, and the Sub when they get the issue properly addressed. We know that's what you want to do

The 30g may suit you then. Janet likes her coils in that range (1.6-1.8Ω) and she vape around 3.7v/8watts and I've taken to making her's w/ 30g instead of 28g. Her PV's run 18350 batts and seem to last a bit longer on the 30g coils than the 28g's.

I like some juices at 8w, but I have some that are better at 10-11. Some just burn that high so I turn watts down for those. Lazarus Vintage Sir James burns at anything over 8.5 watts, although I haven't tried it in the KF. It's a good chocolate/conac liquor, just like Hershey's dark chocolate syrup. I have one bottle that I save for days when I need chocolate therapy. I mixed a coffee, vanilla custard, cheesecake that I'm using right now at 9.5watts, it's too warm, too strong (?) at 10.

Tutu, you say you used to be a firefighter. I Imagine female firefighters as being close to 6 ft tall. Or did you just overcompensate? I really let myself in for one, that time.

 Serious answer is I could do the work despite being a munchkin. Obviously dragging a 300lbs log off a line wasn't in my repertoire, but a lot of them couldn't do it either. Teamwork. :) I wasn't allergic to poison oak and they behaved like a bunch of girls around the stuff (even worse if they actually got it) and was handy with a chainsaw. The chauvinists weren't worth the time to even listen to and since it was a federal agency, they didn't last long anyway. :)

Welcome to the porch philoshop and quinngia! We moved the porch near a subtropical beach this time so no worries about the cold. Do be careful as some of the animals are still in party mode after the move and tend to rocket around in between sleeping and eating. Philoshop, I know I've seen you around and know you're on the right side of the fence as far as the FDA goes. :)

Ok.......well that makes a bit more sense now as to why folks can do higher wattage. a long time ago Mike taught me to get the proper volts to vape at to be safe....... take ohms, add 2 then minus .2 But with wattage I couldn't understand how someone could vape 2 ohms at like 14 watts which would put it wayyyyyyyyyyy above 3.8 v I know that formula was a starting place, and you could vary some, but not that much.

I guess you have to put it in perspective of how many days that many charges will last you. Would you have to be charging it every day? Is it the only device you'll be using? Even my little eGo batteries lasted me well over a year because I had several and rotated them. I didn't like batteries I couldn't replace either, but got the iStick anyway. For the price it (and taking into consideration the cost of batteries) I figured it was worth it to me.

Funny you should say this... I had very much the same conversation with myself! And then I ordered the purple DNA40 mini :) I decided that I have a Gi2, a Billet BoX and a P3, all of which have replaceable batteries ( and a mech mod, but we don't talk about that!), so I'll be switching devices frequently. And the purple mini is just so dang cute! And because it's purple, my Bedazzled tanks will look adorable on it. And, did I mention that it's purple?:lol::lol::lol:

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! As long as I keep the wood stove going, I can sit for a bit.

That's the great thing about the Porches, the weather is whatever floats your boat! I think most of us are on a remote tropical island. Remote but with wifi & vapemail.

Hummm. I'm using a 1.8 BVC coil in my Billet Box and usually vape at 4.25-4.75 volts. On the P3, I'm often as high as 5 volts, with either a 1.8 or 2.0 coil. And on the mech (the mod about which we don't speak), I use a .5-.8 coil (depending on how off my build is!). (I'm using Sony VTC5's, so I'm assuming its safe ...) That said, when I DO set watts, I have noticed that the volts change all by themselves, depending on the coil. Who knew?! (I really must get an "Electronics for Dummies" book!)
