See my earlier comment about teaching 18 year olds at community college. I also teach older learners. Even my wife, who is both smart and well educated, isn't entirely convinced about vaping and often forwards me these fear mongering articles that she comes across in the media. As Abe Lincoln said, "you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time. But, you can't fool mom."
Quotation origin is something I enjoy researching. It does not seem terribly likely that Abe Lincoln spoke words resembling those, even though I realize that you have comically altered the part of the quote which follows the final comma.

I was told long ago the PT Barnum was responsible for: "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." However, it appears that there's no more justification for attributing those words to PT Barnum than there is for attributing them to Honest Abe.

Bells, interesting. Is anything they taught us in school true, aside from math?

The person Kenna was talking about.

Might be a language barrier , learning problem , or something else.

On the 16th January they have an rdna40 yet on the 25th January they're waiting for it.

After using a mod and tanks for x amount of time and joining here a year ago they didn't know they needed to add juice to a wick.

Starting threads asking questions that should be common knowledge.

Ahem...

IT'S SNOWING AND WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!! AAUUGGHH!!!

Where da Northeast 'coasters at? Despite the typical New England mentality to overreact to the possibility of... a snowflake it's really woolly out there! Beyond the non stop 35+ mph winds in my location the roads are like trying to drive on glass covered in marbles - don't. Not a clue how much we got out there because the drifting is so bad. And we're gonna get another 20 hours of this!?

Anyone else in the pummel zone for this one?

With the Lemo when filling it I just fill it till the liquid is about half way up the glass.
These vacuum/gravity tanks for me if they're filled to the top seem to not wick frequently and you need to do some non fired vapes to help things along.
Contrary to some who never have any problems with completely filled tanks.
Its not the wicking either because after a vape if i leave the tank the next time I go to it the liquid level has fallen so the wick is absorbing the juice.

As someone who teaches 18 year olds at a community college, I have to assume ignorance here unless proven otherwise. I really can believe that someone might not understand that you have to put juice on the wick to keep it from burning (in fact, I ran into someone like that here at ECF about two months ago. Fortunately, he understood after I explained it to him).

Well, I quoted this to say basically what Wolf said later. Took me a lil looky loo. They've been on here for a year, did make a post about bad English. At some point said they were 24 yrs old. They have 240 posts, and have been through quite a few various set ups with tanks, and mods. Maybe they just meant that they didn't know they had to put more juice on so quickly or something. This person has never smoked, and that does bother me somewhat, but that's my opinion and not everyone agrees, which is fine.

 Alas, they have fooled my mom. Hope she doesn't see that. Guess it's time to have the talk with the folks. I really hope the big guns come out to put this fool in his place.

Look who contributed to this fool's campaign fund. http://www.followthemoney.org/show-me?c-t-eid=22531&d-cci=68&d-ccg=8#%5B{1|gro=d-eid Can't imagine why he'd want to dis vaping.

Good sleuthing! Wow, not at all surprising, I need to do this with Texas reps and totally bust em out if they're anti vaping and taking money from BP/BT

<---- Looks at where she is from below her avatar

Nope we don't know a darn thing about food and music here. ;)

P.S. I made gumbo today.

While listening to a zydeco band???

Bells, interesting. Is anything they taught us in school true, aside from math?

hehehe I even (jokingly) asked a college remedial math teacher if he was certain that all he was teaching was true...how did we know that someone didn't just make it up a long time ago, and no one had bothered to prove em wrong since! lol I didn't get a rousing ovation, but I did get a lot of smiles, nods, and murmurs of agreement! The teacher was not amused.

I saw where y'all are pretty much getting the brunt of this.......20,000+ without power. I've always wondered, what do y'all do if that happens? Does everyone have generators, gas heat, go to shelters/friends, or sit in yur house and freeze??

E-cigarettes would be banned in public places under California bill

Excerpt

"Whether you get people hooked on e-cigarettes or regular cigarettes, it’s nicotine addiction and it kills," Democratic state Senator Mark Leno, who introduced the bill, said in a telephone interview. "We're going to see hundreds of thousands of family members and friends die from e-cigarette use just like we did from traditional tobacco use."

Do they think everybody is so stupid that they will believe this stuff? Hope he's publicly flogged and held accountable for his lies.

Not so much a fool as trying to fool the rest of us.

Ya did good hun. like I said, I tried for quite awhile one night to let him/her know that they needed to learn a lot more before trying rebuilding etc. I still have no idea if they're just really young, and perhaps not a native English speaker (not sure) or if they're jerking people's chains. But if they are for real, they're an accident waiting to happen based on several pm's

Once you try to educate and help him, you have done all you can. Let it go, hate to see anything happen to anyone but, sometimes it is just ordained. Shallow end of the gene pool needs a little chlorine every once in a while.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I was having big problems with dry hits on my Kayfun Lite+...THe solution turned out to be something I would never have expected. I was filling it too full which did not allow airspace at the top for the juice flow system to work properly. Now I fill it 2/3 full and never have a problem.

For those with leaks around fill screws. THe way I solved mine is going to sound just a tad odd. I took the round end of the condom from a carto and put a tiny needle hole in the center then put the screw through it and into the fill hole (trapping it between the RDA bottom and the screw head). No more leaks.

I had tried various amounts of juice (because I was tired of pouring off and fixing and re-loading), but I filled the KFL and the KF mini about 3/4 full (making sure I have headroom - I top-fill and once the top was started, I'd flip to create the vacuum.) They're both doing quite well...

hehehe Mary Mary, how does your orchid garden grow???

I did a double-take on this one {thinking to myself - how does Deb know my name?????} Then I realized you WEREN'T talking to *me* :D

I had to rush out and get this picture of snow sticking to tree branches in my back yard, because in an hour there will be no evidence that there was any snow here in Whitakers NC. May your power stay on, Rick!

My quote was actually from Captain Penny. He used to say it at the end of every show, circa early 1960s. I always thought he got the original from Honest Abe, but now I know better!

But then, according to this note from the above page, Captain Penny was quoting the Little Rascals:

"Captain Penny's Rule" was a misquote from an episode of "The Little Rascals (Our Gang)" in which Spanky's mother catches his father in an act of deception. The last two lines in the episode are the mother (misquoting Lincoln): "You can fool some of the people some of the time!" and Spanky: "But you can't fool Mom! At least in the beginning, he gave credit where it was due: "And so, boys and girls, until tomorrow, remember what Spanky says: you can fool..."

I'd like this second part if I had half a clue what you said! :)

Looking at folks' signatures, I see a few REO lovers. What's so great about 'em? (Not bein' ornery; really want to know what you like about the Reo!). The closest I can get to understanding how they work is a Billet Box. I'm pretty sure that's not right :)

ETA: I'm worried that my question didn't come out right. After seeing so many folks lovin on their Reo's, I'm curious as to why folks like them so much. I read a bunch of posts in Reo threads, but no one talked about why they like their Reo, only that they like it.
