They both started with that tip didn't they? They don't appeal to me.

Don't know about the early KFL's. But all the Russians came that way. Nope - I didn't like 'em either. Changed them right out. They narrow opening just concentrated the vape to a 'spot' on my tongue that I just didn't like.

Hey. I even have portable batteries that I take with me, and a passthrough I leave in the car. Just in case.
I have my PVs (5 VW)
I have my backup PVs (1 VV for each)
I have my backups for the backups (1 for every 2- passthroughs, older VV I don't use as much)
I have my Mechanicals as backups for the backups of my backups (7 of them)

you think I may need some backups for the backups of my backups of my backups?

I've thought about drilling them out, but then I don't like metal tips, anyway, so haven't :)

Gawd, I wish I had good eye-sight!

I've been attempting to build on my Kayfun for the last hour or so. I gave up several times and threw it aside. Well, I didn't throw it hard. I just tossed it onto the bed. It's an ugly coil. My eye-sight IS good enough to know that much. But, it's working, for the moment.

I had better get some major practice building coils. Either that, or start stocking up on cartos. Maybe a couple thousand or so!

ruh-roh! Better pull our your favorite vape mate and chill for awhile. :vapor: Then have another go at that coil. You'll get it.

A couple of mine came that way, and got swapped out immediately. Want one?

4, eh? I think you're going to like them!

I'm sure I will. Love my KF3.1's and the KFL's appear to be the same tank without the huge air chamber.
Really though, two of the KFL are for my BIL & SIL. They bought some FT KF3.1's and have had problems with them leaking. I looked them over and was unable to find anything wrong that would account for the leaking. The one thing I failed to do, was do one of my builds on them. From reading some articles on KF leaks it very well could be my BIL's builds that are the problem. He tends to build a sloppy coil with a lot more cotton wick than I do. I've never had a issue with any of my KF's leaking so the build thing never crossed my mine while we were visiting them last month.

Remember, it's working :)

Many use lighted magnifiers, either free standing or similar to glasses / over the glasses.

What are you winding on or with? Coil jig, screwdriver?

Did you check the o-ring at the top of the chimney?

And he's not getting wick into the air intake under the coil, is he?

I never saw any wick getting into the air intake but kept reminding him to keep a 2mm spacing between the coil and the air intake. But I have definitely wondered if his over abundant wick might be allowing small strands of cotton to drip juice into it.

ETA Yes we did rebuild the tanks with new orings throughout and new insulators as well.

It will come with practice. I liked the recommendation for a magnifying glass. I have a Harbor Freight not far from me and I have been thinking of getting one. I have ARMD in my right eye so I can use some extra help. Don't get frustrated, well, not too frustrated. Glad the bed was near to ease the impact. lol

Bought 2 dat I did not need...jes in case
There's probably several people that did and aren't going to fess up to it. Probably a run on safety pins right now also. My mother stores all sorts of things on safety pins from rubber bands to buttons. They work well. Off to sort my o-rings onto pins.

I feel your pain. Bought a little lighted magnifier on a stand that helped tremendously.

Oh my, I think I have found another keeper. A juicy peach mango, I steeped it in the ultrasonic off and on for about 8 hours today and I think it is a really smooth vape. Anyone that is interested it is as follows:

Juicy Peach Mango
9/9/15 50/50 3mg 50ml
PG 14.75ml
VG 23.75ml
Nic 2.5ml
(CAP) Juicy Peach 3ml
(TFA)Philippine Mango 3ml
(TFA)Whipped Cream 1ml
(TFA)Bavarian Cream 1ml

If it is good I will take the credit. If it isn't any good, I will blame it on my eyesight.

That's what I do with new coils. Wrap severall at once, & put them on big safty pins. I can get about 6 on one pin.
That's a great idea. As soon as I can actually wrap a decent coil.

Remember, it's working :)

I do have a lighted magnifier, just not the batteries to make the light work. But, I sat next to a lamp. It worked ok once I found my mouse pad so that the magnifier didn't keep moving around while I was trying to use it.

I bought these to wrap coils on. But, I haven't used them yet. I used a little screwdriver instead.

Every time I wrap a coil is like the first time. It's always a shock that it's so hard to see and to hold onto all the parts all at once. I've only wrapped about a dozen or dozen and a half coils so far. And, that's over about a year's time (maybe more).

I'm easily frustrated. And, since my finished coils are, at best, mediocre, I'm always left rather uninspired to keep trying. Even in the middle of wrapping a coil, I often have to stop for a while. Often? No, pretty much always!

Might try this with the CAP Sweet mango....
