That's what I do with new coils. Wrap severall at once, & put them on big safty pins. I can get about 6 on one pin.
That's a great idea. As soon as I can actually wrap a decent coil.
Remember, it's working
Many use lighted magnifiers, either free standing or similar to glasses / over the glasses.
What are you winding on or with? Coil jig, screwdriver?
I do have a lighted magnifier, just not the batteries to make the light work. But, I sat next to a lamp. It worked ok once I found my mouse pad so that the magnifier didn't keep moving around while I was trying to use it.
I bought
these to wrap coils on. But, I haven't used them yet. I used a little screwdriver instead.
Every time I wrap a coil is like the first time. It's always a shock that it's so hard to see and to hold onto all the parts all at once. I've only wrapped about a dozen or dozen and a half coils so far. And, that's over about a year's time (maybe more).
I'm easily frustrated. And, since my finished coils are, at best, mediocre, I'm always left rather uninspired to keep trying. Even in the middle of wrapping a coil, I often have to stop for a while. Often? No, pretty much always!
