It was before my time but at least I knew who Lucille Ball was. ;) A shame vaping wasn’t around for Desi Arnaz.
Actually scenario was, quiz. Lady answers but says she might be wrong. Kay says... that's right. You're wrong. And became his theme. Kinda like heidi, heidi ho became Cab Calloways. :)

Ah, Lucy. The lady who stole the theme for her show from Joan Davis? You kin google I married Joan. :)

Hello, hello...Been a while since I've posted here, but I'll be 63 in less than a month, so I qualify :). My wife, who is almost 60, has tried vaping several times, but it irritates her already-chronically-irritated stomach...so, she has remained on the cigarettes for most of the four years that I've been vaping. Well, she decided that she wanted to try again, so I gave her my spare device (a locally made mod called a "VMX"--it's basically a GLV knockoff), and got her the juice that she asked for...a generic tobacco flavor...and YUK!

We both thought it was awful! I said it tasted like a wet ashtray; she said it tasted like when one puts a .... out in a Coke, and then takes a drink of it.

OK...no plug intended, but I had her try a bit of my Bounty Hunter; and for now, at least, that's the stuff for her. But I'm going to smell that other awful stuff on my fingers for the next day or so.

Got a new brick & mortar store only ten minutes away from me now. I checked it out today, and it appears decent. The kid who worked there was pleasant enough. Their selection seems somewhat limited right now, but they're new, so I may check them out again. I confess, though, that I have gotten into online ordering; larger quantities mean lower prices, and they'll deliver directly to my workplace (no problems) pretty quickly.

My county has redefined "smoking" to include vaping...so that means no vaping inside of any public building (with a few exceptions, such as vaping stores). Fortunately, I work in a small office, with three people who understand reality (unlike our county government), and have no problem with me vaping discreetly.

Otherwise, things are good. Good to see all of you!

Paul

welcome back!! Glad she's liking the bounty hunter!! My dil's mother has the same stomach trouble with vaping. I made her some very high vg juice to see if that would help but she hasn't tried it yet. I did unflavored to see if she'd like it, thought I might try some "real cig" flavoring if she doesn't like the unflavored. many swear by it. Her son quit cigs with vaping, but she only tries it once in awhile then goes back to cigs. Hope this is the answer for your wife!

Hi Paul! :) This may be applicable or not to your wife’s problem. I pretty much have a rock gut and have been very grateful I don’t have problems in that department.

I made a watermelon bubblegum juice and started having problems. Was also on a new medication that made me sick so didn’t add up the numbers as quickly as I should have as to what was causing the problem. I wound up with ........ worse than severe food poisoning and, to my understanding, something like acid reflux. It was excruciating. I’ve mashed myself up and had enough surgeries to make an NFL player look like a pansy.

Eventually I suspected the watermelon bubblegum and quit vaping it. The symptoms faded away. After some research, I decided it must be the sweetener in the flavors. Turns out a lot people have problems with sweeteners. Has she tried just plain old unflavored liquid? It’s not bad at all. I started off with a coffee flavor. That’s what got me off the smokes. It takes a lot of fiddling around to find what works for some of us and sympathize with her difficulties. Best of luck to her.

Glad you have good office mates. Don’t be a stranger.

Hi Paul. Good job on helping your wife get vaping! She may have an issue with the pg in juices. Lower pg might work better for her. Good luck!

I take off the blunt needle and pull the plunger, then run LOTS of hot water through the barrel and plunger. Then put the needle back on, fill the barrel and reinsert the plunger to rinse the needle, a few times. The disassemble and let dry.
