Tootle Puffer is a term someone made up recently and has taken off with the thread you probably noticed. It essentially means low watts, high ohms vaping. It's not meant as anything derogatory at all.

The UCF thing is outrageous! It's like saying if you're over 18 and have a pack of cigarettes in your pocket, you can be suspended.

There are a number of folks here from Florida but I don't think they have any legislation going right now. They can fill you in. The real woory for many of us now is what the FDA will decide to do. That forum is here FDA Regulations | E-Cigarette Forum

Thx for the welcome. I'll be reviewing the regulations, and could see me becoming a warrior for the cause. I'm an RN and do wellness screenings and seem like such a hypocrite to my own self. That's what brought me to vaping to get off of analogs. This is just ignorance.

Seapeachcove was an old aol screen name. My family owns and operates a nudist resort here called Cypress Cove. It just sort of popped into my head. I'm originally from GA (hence the peach) but have been in Florida since 97 (hence the sea), SP or either is fine.

Thanks for the welcome. Duh! It just never occurred to me to click on one as if it were a web site link. That sounds simple enough. I'm still anxiously awaiting the arrival of my hardware and juice purchase, so I haven't set the analogs aside just yet. Ready though.

I passed out after dinner and got a much needed nap. Much better now.

I didn't follow the thread - read maybe the first 2 or 3 posts - and said - Nope I am outta here...

I know the feeling. I do that a lot myself. I start reading a thread and then go, 'Oh, no! Not again!'. And immediately disengage.

At home I use my external battery mods, but when I travel the iStick 50 is great for not having to recharge all the time (lasts me several days and recharges easily with the same cable I use for my phone), nor messing with batteries and a charger. Just handy for me on the road.

I didn't like the iStick 20, flimsy 510 and poor power regulation. I use R91's and Kayfuns and I don't like them on top of the 30. So for me it was the 50. The 50 lasts me 5+ days w/ heavy use on 1 charge and I like the way it fits my hand. I can go away for a couple days and not worry about taking extra batts. If I leave the house for a day w/ any of my other single batt mods, I'm sure to take 1 extra batt per mod just because even an 18650 doesn't last me an entire day.

That all makes a lot of sense. I just think more in terms of vapocalypse. I'm too poor to focus on what's handy now and what's more likely to be handy later. So, I'm more likely to opt for something that will take a replaceable battery. Otherwise, I guess the convenience of the iStick 50 could make all the difference.

I came on board today and a member invited me to the porches. I don't know the difference between the front porch and the back porch. Is one supposed to be more formal than the other? I'm new at forums and new at vaping. I've read tons of great info at ECF, and have tons of questions. First, wth is a tootle puffer? Second, vape lounges are springing up like dandelions all over Orlando. It seems less like prohibition and more embracing the inevitable, at least around here. So that's good news, right? And finally, what, exactly, is the government trying to regulate? My step-son just told me that UCF sent out bulletins declaring vaping supplies as "drug paraphernalia" and they can be suspended for being in possession of it, and that just seems totally ridiculous to me. Isn't that about comparable to taking away my ashtray and bic, my wine glass, my beer stein?

A Tootle Puffer is someone who uses lower voltage/wattage and less airflow (mouth-to lung instead of direct lung inhales). IOW, a more getting off cigarettes style of vaping as opposed to cloud chasing.

I don't know what to say about all the new and proposed legislation. It's insane. They're just desperate to get the money while the getting's good. In the end, they'll lose. But, that could take years and harm a lot of people in the meantime.

SP, be wary if he, Iffy, offers you a rocker with a cushion in it. It's likely one of his newfangled "acoustic" (whoopee) cushions.

You're an RN! Awesome. What gear did you order? Don't get frustrated with it, there is a learning curve with vaping. Some people switch without a problem, some are accidental quitters (tried vaping, loved it, never looked back), then there's those of us that have to struggle a while before we're able to completely convert to vaping. Please feel free to ask for help, ask any questions you may have, someone will step up to the plate with an answer.

There is a saying on ECF that it's not how many cigarettes you smoke, it's how many you don't that counts. We all started right where you did (duh) and are happy to help you with your transition.

He will not get my vote again after betraying me like that.
So, look for legislation soon enough for FL.

I've told ya how much I like the silicone sleeves I got a few days ago for my iStick mods.
I have found it advantageous, though, to modify the sleeve for my iStick 50 watt mod, because the sleeve was causing my trigger finger to have difficulty finding the power button by feel. Cutting out a notch where the sleeve formerly covered the power button has eliminated that problem.

There's no such problem with the iStick 30 watt and its sleeve. I think that's because the power button on the iStick 30 Watt is flat, rather than being curved like it is on the 50 watt iStick.

Loved my vv gripper, wish they'd have been made better. I even bought a second one when i ruined the first one with epoxy trying to glue the 510 connector so it didn't wiggle
