And I've had no homicidal/suicidal tendencies at all! I'm shocked!

Fabulous! I'm so happy for you, truly. I almost think it's more exciting to realize you've gone a whole week without a ciggie. At least it was for me. It's still amazing to be able to say it's been a month, and then 6 months etc. Something about making it that first week without one and not feeling like you were going to jump out of your skin made me hopeful for the first time that I might actually be able to give them up for good. Maybe that's it, the first week is shocking and after that it's exciting?

Seriously, I am truly awestruck! I remember WELL how horrible it was to try to quit before and by day 3, I had family/friends BUYING me cigs, telling me to please smoke! It was that bad. I hated the whole world!

I have had none of the mental/emotional instability that I had before. I'm truly amazed that I don't have all the bad side effects from quitting. I'm sure I've been walking around with a 'S.E. grin' on my face all week, because I feel fine. :) It is actually confusing because I'm not supposed to 'feel fine' when I'm quitting smoking! I'm supposed to be miserable and I'm not. Excuse the redundancy, but I'm amazed!

The only issue I've had, was not smoking in the morning with my coffee. But the last couple days, that hasn't hardly bothered me at all and I think in a couple more days, that will be history.

My brain keeps saying 'Wow! I haven't smoked in over a week!" and I smile.

I know many have felt this too, but it takes some getting used to, NOT being miserable while quitting the sticks.:)

I have officially hit my 4 year anniversary! :)

Fantastic ... I wish I had found them 4 years ago.

They say "when the student is ready the teacher will be there", and when I look back, I probably would not of bought into it back then.
But ... I sure would of been better off
Better late than never is true too !

Woot, Woot! Congrats Tx! Gives us all assurance that we don't have to regress. :D

I'm doing something similar.
Since I was a menthol smoker, I keep a menthol/tobacco flavor with more nic than I usually vape. I use this at those times when I feel the need. Like in the morning with coffee, after meals and before I go to bed.
I know most use a lower nic in the evenings, but I don't have much and it's only about 8mg nic. i vape 4 mg all day.

Yes, I've been told I need more nic, I disagree. I'm good with 4mg and the 8mg at certain times. I was an ultra light smoker, so these levels work for me. :)

It's day 8 without analogs and I feel better each day! :vapor::banana:

Looks like you have found your safety switch. :D Eight days, I remember when. :) It was just unbelievable at the time. :)
It only gets easier from there, but there were some times when I could have stumbled. Just grabbed my vaporizer and kept on keepin' on. :D

Way to go! I still remember my 1st week cig-free. I couldn't believe I made it a week and now it's a bit over 2 years. You're on the way 'nc'. Nice!

My two year wont be til Feb 5, 2014...never dreamed when I quit that it would be so easy and that it would become such an obsession. I thoroughly enjoy the obsession, though! :D

Have a great day every one. Loved the vapian song, too Mike! :toast:

Hi Everybody and happy Holidays. Haven't posted in a while but have been reading everyday here and in the lounge. Just
wanted to welcome all the new peeps and especially all the new NC people. Welcome to the journey and have fun
along the way. I'm located about 17 miles north of Hillsborogh and would love to meet sometime. My first year off tobacco
comes Jan 24,2014. Pretty excited about that. Went to a B&M in Chapel Hill yesterday called The Vapor Girl. She has two
locations and pretty good inventory and flavor bar. Check it out if you can. Currently using a REO mod with RM2
and it is the bomb. Not a real good starter I wouldn't think but it is a great vape.

I have read your post about your love of REO's and you may have been the one to convince me
to pull the trigger. The Reo group seem to be fanatical and that influenced me also. The first two
weeks I was not that impressed, but once I made a good micro coil I was all in. It really was a
very different experience from what I was used to and being old change is hard. I know you are a
young thang though.

AH but I am getting older every day ;)

I am glad you are enjoying your REO. My 2 really are my 99% of the time vape. Micro coil + cotton wick in a RM2 and the REO really shines.

Most of my other devices have hit the vapocalypse box at this point. I keep a couple of smaller rigs around for driving because my hands are small enough that the REO + Steering wheel = bad thing.

I am not so sure that it is fanaticism so much as it just works for me. Why mess with success :)

Vapor Girl in chapel Hill is where I got my first setup. Great bunch there! Like the flavor bar too, they are expanding it as I understand, to have 2 bars in the store so more people can try at one time. :) YAY! I had to wait a bit, there were 4 others there testing too.
I love that the owner told me most of her clientele are over 50, including herself.

There are a couple of us NC'ers planning to get together in the spring, when the weather is better. Maybe you can meet with us. That would be great. And we may be making a trip to Vapor Girl next month. Keep in touch. :)
