Soooo, I've been lurking around this thread for a while now. I'm not much of a poster, so it took me a bit to get in enough posts to join this party! I quit analogs on Dec. 1st, I turned 55 on the 19th, and boy do I have a bad case of the "new shiny mods, tips and juice syndrome" I own 9 mods already! I bought myself a skippy little tip for my birthday from Molehill Mountain that looks super on my new Tesla!

I'm learning about juices and with the help of my wonderful friend Robin aka Rabernet she is teaching me all about mods and other such goodies. My goal is to have 4 dedicated mods ( I have another Tesla coming from my daughter) the little ego's that I have will be gifted to 2 of my co-workers who are quitting cigs on 1-1-14

I'm so happy to be part of such a wonderful community of folks!

Welcome and Congratulations on your success with vaping! It really does help a lot to have someone close to show you the ropes. Sounds like your friend has done a very good job for you!! And you are so nice to help your co-workers as well! Glad to have you join us. What flavor juice are you starting out with? I'm just kind of curious because so many start out with the tobacco flavors.

In the mornings I am fine, but in the late evening I crave something (can't even say for sure it's a cigarette). I didn't know much about vaping so just bought all my juices at 6% nicotine. I am wondering now if I should up it a bit to stop this late evening whatever-it-is... Two packs a day of ultra lights 100s was my smoke, so I wasn't sure if I need more than 6%? I'm also getting night cravings for food which REALLY unusual for me (no, I'm not pregnant, lmao)...

Welcome reptifarm... this is a very good place to hang out.

Sounds like you "jumped into vaping with both feet". :) ... 9 mods already!

I like the looks of the Tesla, saw one at a Brick and Mortar in Columbus, the owner was using one with a carto tank setup. Nice.

Come on up on the porch, pull up a rocking chair, and have a vape. :D

(Isn't Hamilton in the 'greater Atlanta area'?)

It's actually a stones throw from Columbus! Hiya neighbor!! :headbang: I shop at both vapor craft and tasteful vapes:D

You might want to get one of your favorite flavors in, say, 12, and give it a try. If that's too much, you can always mix it 50/50 with the same (or different) flavor of your 6, to get 9.

I smoked for 50 years. Am 64 and started when I was 14. Quit smoking Oct 16th after 1 month of both smoking and vaping. I am 100% certain that I will never go back to smoking. I do not have any craving for a cigarette. Can't quite figure that out.

On the other hand, I appear to be consumed by vaping. Always looking at stuff and always buying new stuff. I am hoping that this subsides a bit soon before I go broke!!! Am retiring Sept 1 and need to have everything I need by then.

Hi Janet and thank you for the big welcome. I have a few of them but my favorites are altered state from nicoticket, (which is discontinued) 15 foot falls and punkin tumble from Alice in Vapeland, and a couple that I get from my local shop, State fair is a carmeled apple, Georgia Peach mixed with a little franilla, an RY4 mixed with 2 different flavore from my local vape shop, and 3 more from the same shop.

I'm trying to find the ones that I like best, oh and I just got home from work after gifting one of my little ego mods to my co-worker!

Good job on sticking with the juice to get it to where you like it! Success is sweet!

I find that my tastes are fickle. I've tasted some juices that I thought were great until I actually vaped a tank and then decide it's not as good as I thought. Wouldn't you think I'd know right away? I've also gotten juice that I wasn't too thrilled about, but didn't want to waste it so kept on vaping it to use it up and it's like the taste grew on me and then really liked it. If it gets set aside for awhile and then pick it up later I seem to go through the same not-so-nice-now-it's-great routine. Very strange. Well, I never claimed to be normal so...

Seems everyone has different tastes,,
Awhile ago Mike had some joose that was too sweet for him..
I wanted to try them..so I bought them off Mike..
1 was very good..BUT the other was absolutely delicious:p

i could not possibly vape more than I smoked my pipe.
On the other hand... If you learn how to rebuild your coils and DIY your juice, you can allocate some $$$ to a vaping budget and save up for any battery holder or device...
we talked about how inexpensive it can be few pages back... Post 2049 on my page 2015. :)

Smoked for almost 10 years, will be 30 in May, and have been analog free for over 2 months ago!

It started with me wanting to quit, got tired of all the side effects and rising cigarette costs so I thought I'd try a cigalike. So I got a Blu for a day or so, and it wasn't really for me but I knew then and there that this is the right route I was taking.

The next day I picked up the eGo starter kit from my work (Work a few convienance stores so I get the wholesale price! :D ) and haven't looked back since! Even been upgrading as I go, got a ton of clearos/juices and now I have a Vision Spinner and Davide tank.

Life is great!

No kidding! Maybe we could meet up at a vape shop sometime. I've PM'd here a few times with another Columbus vaper, vrodder, and he told me about vaporcraft just after they opened... but I haven't had a chance to go there yet. I live about 45 min. east of Columbus. The folks at tasteful vapes are nice, and helpful. I bought a Protank 2 and some juice from them.

i apologize in advance for whatever disruption i may bring to this thread :)

MamaTried, you couldn't possibly disrupt this thread as much as I did about 6 weeks ago!... but in a matter of hours, the fine peeps here soothed, cajoled, PM'd, supported, and nursed me back to "sanity" :)

I had lowered my nic too much too fast, had a really rough week at work... and my work van, wife's car, son's truck, hall bathroom toilet, and home heating system all broke on the same day! I had set out that morning to collect some $$ owed me, but came home after a long day without collecting a penny! My tastebuds had "soured" for a time, so all day long my juice tasted like sewer water, and I didn't have any backup flavors I could tolerate. Then, almost as soon as I got home, I broke my favorite PV! There's more, but I won't go into all that.

I was reading this thread at the time I dropped my PV, and had started a post. Well, I pitched a big hissy fit about how much hassle vaping was and I was tired of it. I mean, I had a real meltdown... right here in these very pages. I'm glad the little store down the road was already closed for the day, or I might have bought a pack of cigs.!

You wouldn't believe the response I got from the fine folks here!... I didn't.

I got words of comfort, words of support, words of wisdom, and offers to send me hardware, juice, and anything else you could imagine.

I was humbled... still am.

Y'all have a nice day.
