Merry Christmas Everyone

Ya'll are like extended family. Thanks for coming into my life and extending your friendship my way - I appreciate all the 'sharing' we do around here, not just all the help concerning vape gear and vaping. What's that Tiny Tim line, oh yea - God bless you all.

Hey there everyone. I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I have so appreciated having all of you in my life this year. You are all so helpful and generous with your support. It's like I have a virtual circle of friends except you're real. I really do appreciate all of you so much!

BTW, I've submitted Nutz Torte as a new name for a Band ...

Mike just gave me an early Christmas present - a beautiful PURPLE Rider Robust! He knows how much I like my red and black ones because I'm hardly ever using my eGos anymore. And I didn't even ask for one, he just knew I'd probably want one and he was right. Ain't he sweet! Better go make him up the juice he's been asking me for.

Really? Is it a German band? The recipe came over on the boat with Mike's grandmother when she was a young teenager. It's Mike's favorite cake. It's one of the few recipes we have that we were able to figure out enough to actually write down the recipe. Nana's idea of a cup was her coffee cup. Add flour until it "looks right". Mike's mother must have figured this one out because I got the recipe from her. Come to think of it, I don't think our daughter has this recipe, I'm going to send it to her now.

I want to wish all the people here a Very Merry Christmas and the Best New Year EVER. I enjoy all of you, and think it nice to have a forum you can ask questions about your vape setup or just talk about anything. Its like going to a special place when you have time and seeing good folks and feeling welcomed and comfortable. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, and to all a good night.

Hi There Txtumbleweed,

I think Im in the newer old age group vapors? Anyway, Im 62 and like you smoked over 35 years. I was a heavy smoker over 2 packs a day. Ive been trying to quit for years, and tried all the usual things but nothing worked until I picked up an ecig. I started with a blu ecig I bought at Walgreens. At first I tried using the ecig every other time Id reach for a smoke. After a week or so, I was using the ecig more than smoking. After 2 weeks, I was able to stop smoking! That was on August 8, 2012. So its been a little over four months for me now. Im feeling so much better, and dont cough anymore! I can smell again too.
And I dont have the dizzy spells I was getting. I never thought Id be able to give up the analogs, but ecigs
helped me so much. Now I love vaping. For now Im using a 1300 variable volt Vision bat with Vision ViVi nova, Kanger T2 and T3 tanks. Ive been thinking Id try the bigger mods, but the vision vv bats last me all day long. They arnt as bulkie, so I like that.
Very interesting that you were a fisherman in Alaska. Ive watched the fishing shows on Discovery and its such hard work. But you get the best fresh seafood!!! I once dated a fisherman and got to eat some great swordfish and scallops! I couldnt believe the difference in fresh off the boat vs supermarket fish.
Well, so far so good, I havnt gone back to smoking and I dont plan to. Its a new life, finally free of Tobacco.
Im so happy to have finally made it and now call myself, a past tobacco addict. Good for you as well.
Thanks for starting this thread.

Welcome Bluesrains! Amazing isn't it to be free of the chains of cigarettes! I accidently quit smoking the day I got my package of KR808s. I know that's not normal, but I certainly never thought I'd ever really quit cigarettes. I thought I was doing something that was going to help me cut down. I've since moved on to better things, but those were the gateway to my being tobacco free! After almost 50 years of smoking it's a wonderful feeling!

I'm so glad you were able to enjoy vaping. We've got a great group of folks here who have pretty much tried all the new stuff that keeps coming out every few minutes. I'm sure any questions you have will be answered by someone on this thread. Some on here have knowledge of whatever is coming down the pike. Maybe you can even give us some info on devices you've tried.

Hi, Bluesrains...glad to meet you. You are my age. I smoked for over 40 years and my Doc told me I HAD to quit. I drove down the street to Walgreen and bought a disposable Blu. I knew with the first puff that I could quit smoking. It's been 13 months since I smoked a cigarette. Only one time have I even wanted one and that was in the midst of a panic attack I was having. Good for you, good for me, good for us all that have found the wonderful world of vaping. :vapor:

Hi and welcome to our corner of ECF. Wow! That was nice you were able to stop after 2 weeks. I think it took me about 2 months before I was able to break a lifelong addiction to smoking. Don't be a stranger here, the more the merrier.

Hi Bluerains and welcome. I am a little younger - but I did smoke for 46 years and was one of those that actually quit when I wasn't planning too. I have been doing pretty good for the first month - although I do have to admit with all the Christmas celebrating - the thought of smoking has crossed my mind a couple of times. :(

So far I have been able to vape past it - now to get thru New Years. :)

I think that's the ticket Kari. Whenever you want to grab a cigarette, just grab the eCig instead and vape away. Sometimes switching between flavors helps too or even have a flavor with a higher nic for those times. That seemed to help me a lot. Sounds like you're doing very well, you should be proud of yourself!!

Having different nic levels. I am thinking thats what I might start. I got over my allergy by going flavorless, and I dont miss flavors haveing never had them. But when it gets latter at night, I enjoy vapeing for the fun of it and not the need for nic. In the morning a higher nic level and then move down might work for me. .

Congrats Keri, it will work out.
