Just wanted to chime in here about my results.
But first, I extend great gratitude to ya xMackx

! I have made an all PG on my first, and a 25/75 PG/VG (secondly) concentrate with your methods , happily and successfully !
I ended up making about 14ml each of my two times trying with pure Havana leaf. I needed to adjust the amount of each in the micro-zapper to about 12 seconds though.
The first was, in retrospect, the best though as I didn't scorch the juice. The second time cooked it a bit and made the flavor not bad, just different. 2nd batch was also darker and created a phenomenon new to me in almost a year of vaping, just exactly what y'all are talking about:
Coil gunking.
I never though it possible in a rebuildable, but it happened

Not sure if it was the High VG or what.
So after completely swearing off silica wick to cotton and bamboo, I broke out the silica I almost threw away. I am doing a lot of dry de-gunk coil burning, so it was necessary to keep from rebuilding every few hours. It's worth it tho
If I can find a place with reasonably priced ceramics and a "ceramics for dummies" course, I might try them. I haven't even messed with mesh yet. I tried cotton in my DID to no avail.
But still, I am enamored with this process of NETs!!!!!!!!!!
It's so very....pure. The taste of what I made is the essence of luxury for lack of a better word.
Started out with a washable coffee filter strainer prior to the syringe method.
BTW, though,
The syringe filtering method is BRILLIANT.
I used glass syringes allowing the weight and gravity of the solid plunger to slow filter the concentrate into a receptacle. Then changed out the cotton and repeated several times.
Also added 1% Tobacco Absolute and it brought out flavor pretty nice.
Coffee and NET vapes. The best ever!!
