Ok so as I said you want to go in from the sides, not directly into the batting with a safety pin or something as slender as a standard pin.
Remember do not go directly into the batting but poke around the side slowly, you will feel a slight detachment of the blocking material.
As stated I went with 5 points to be on the safe side though it may not be necessary. You don't need too much pressure. You are basically just sliding it right into the sides. Here's some pics to show what I mean.

So I still have a box of the Fusions that had the tight draw problem. Will this fix work with them as well?

As I understand it, yes. It sounded like it was the same 'issue'. Issac can confirm that when he gets back in, but that might be a little bit. The Iken Bikini Team can be rather demanding on his time.

Here they are, I think.
And they've got the drill bits, in black - though I think it might be the wrong size for carto modification.

I'm so glad this worked Isaac.

I'm so glad the bikini team works for Issac. ;)

I tried it on one of them, but all my tanks have relatively fresh cartos in them. I've got it set to the side to try it out with the next carto swap. *fingers crossed*

Oz empty enough liquid to be able to lift the tank enough and pierce the holes

None of the ones in my tanks are afflicted with this horrible carto disease. I had some Smok backups & some cartos that were in my less than preferred resistance that I've been using up... then miss Fran hooked me up with some LR Fusions. I just have the 1 box that I pulled out of quarantine to try the fix on. It's undergone operation, but I need a good one to fail so I can attempt the transplant.

Did you not tip the Bikini Team? That'll get you slow service around here for sure.

I don't know anything about the slotteds having issues, but I'm guessing that there's a good chance that Boge screwed those up too. Give it a try on one - even if it doesn't fix it, you won't be harming it either. Just make sure you use a black safety pin, the silver ones don't work apparently. Knowing you, I'm guessing you've got some spare Duracoat laying around right? :)

Tried this today. Loaded up a new tank and was pretty excited.... till I started vaping. No go here as well. Super tight draw still. It primed ok and is getting liquid, just can't hit it. .... way too stiff on the draw. Bummer. Are we supposed to be piercing something, or just separating the sheet covering the hole from the metal sides?
