I can buy vg for icing that I make and you can buy it wholesale gallon size, really the fda is not going to add things to vg thats a scare tactic.
Sure you can..for now. But at the rate the gub'min is going you just might need
a special baker license in order to buy VG to make icing.
Are you a baker in business?
I understand your point and agree there's an abundance of paranoia
going around, but it really isn't too far fetched to assume the government may well go that far. I've already (not) mentioned two items that are illegal for the home consumer to purchase and own but are perfectly acceptable
for industry to buy.
I could give you several more examples
but they aren't vape related so a mod might step in and make an issue.

You do know selling whole unprocessed milk to individuals is illegal, right?
The FDA even had a SWAT Team shut a milk supplier down.
The examples abound.

No politics here on this thread. I don't do politics even with family either, we all have our own views which is fine, but as my grandpa always said don't talk religion or politics with your friends :) LOL wise advice. As for news there is no real news anymore that ended with Walter Cronkite, and goodnight Chet, goodnight David :) So take all the so called news today with a heavy dose of salt LOL

I'm proud to say I'm a housewife that has used vg for over 12 yrs with baking, trust me they will never add things to it for ejuice. Stop with the scare tactics. You will not have to have a baking license to get it. Food network has recipes with vg in them, lots and lots of recipes.

But I'm not using any scare tactics. Like you I'm trying to put a halt to the rampant paranoia. However the possibility does exist that additives will be added to vaping consumables in order to prevent their use. whether they inconvenience you or not.

We're on the same side here, leftyandsparky. But my experience has been that the government will stop at nothing to get their way. Again, I could write you a list
of many ubiquitous substances that have been made illegal for certain uses just because
they can.

PG and VG existed long before vaping did and I can't see any real change in their distribution taking place, just like wire, wick material and batteries. We may eventually not be getting them from vape specific sources, but that's about all that could happen IMO.

The paraquat debacle in the 70s caused many lawsuits against the gov. and sickened many.
Paraquat was sprayed on a illegal product. That program didn't last long.
Since vaping is still legal, I doubt the gov will get into the tainting of VG, just to harm the evil DIYers.

Unless literally millions of smokers/vapers turn to DIY, I think maybe we are taking the paranoia to a whole new level here. I really doubt the government is going to start to alter every day items like PG and VG to shut down vaping.
I am almost sure you are right but in my case it was easier to just get enough to last me a very long time. Now I don't even have to think about it. We all have to do whatever gives us peace of mind. It was just one more insurance policy for me.

A very wise policy. My point isn't that such tainting will occur
but rather that it easily could occur. I don't see that any of the current government regulations or any of their actions make any sense at all, so I believe in preparing for worse case scenarios.
Living where I do I've experienced many hurricanes including Andrew
the aftermath of which I was personally responsible for feeding over 30,000 people
'cause the Red Cross wasn't prepared and neither were many people left homeless and.or w/o food.
So I like to keep a dozen boxes of bottled water, several cases of toilet paper and
a few months supply of food stashed in the pantry. I urge others in similar locales to do the same. Does that mean I foment paranoia? No! It means that I know the concept of "better safe than sorry" is valid and it is better to be a good boy scout and be prepared for the unexpected.
Given the current situation where we're being subjected to senseless regulations
I think that we as vapers are situated in a locale where a storm is brewing and believe
that we should similarly be prepared.

Now when my convoy was giving out cases of MRE's and foodstuff we acquired
from donations by Publix Supermarkets after Andrew, rather than have to deal with ridiculous hostility and irrelevancy we were thanked for our efforts...

Y'all have a good one. I'm out of here.

Yeah. I've come to find out, especially on here from others the news is BS. Period. How to find a news organization not left or right or demo or repub or not against e-cigs.. I'd love to know about. So far, every news organization I've seen/heard broadcast negatives about e-cigs, I completely shut out of listening/viewing. Now I here about (in the forums) public news, news that I listen to now, which I thought so far was decent, post negative remarks about c-cigs. Wth man. Am I seriously down to google news now?

As the saying goes, "No news is good news." I gave up watching most TV/cable in 1995, and gave it up almost 100% except for 2 NHL games per month (plus the playoffs). I get all my news off of ECF, YouTube, Google News, Drudge Report, Chicago Sun Times.

Several of the big vape / juice manufactures have submitted PMTA’s, That gives them 2 years more to stay in business, there are literally hundreds of new gear coming to market, all they had to do is show "a" sales receipt for the 8th, so they sold one or two of each and are holding the rest back as time goes on, they will release.
nic select being another one to submit
District Court August 16 or October 19 ?

Actually it is not illegal to sell it but it has to be sold as animal feed not for human consumption. The reason I know this is because we make all our cheeses from scratch and there are a couple types that require raw milk. Every vendor we buy it from always wants to make sure we are buying it for animal feed.

Where are you getting this information? We have a thread called PMTA's submitted and no one knows of any.

Best way to shut down individual DIY is not the PG/VG, but make 100 mg nic solution available only to manufacturers with a proper license, much like ethanol. No nic, and you're done. No disruption to other industries that need VG/PG.

    It's back-up for our back-up

It's for people like me who were late to the party!

But.. I have three RTAs (2 coming next week) four mods and one small. box mod (2 of those 5 coming next week) and nicotine..

So far this is the extent of my stocking up, outside of what I already had, which was just one box mod and three ego batteries.. (And of course a few tanks and some coils, assorted juice)

I still need, and will be buying, tools for coil building, more cotton (as I do have some already) for wicking, lighted magnifying desk stand, more batteries, more nicotine, flavors, bottles for juice, bottles for nicotine, assorted diy juice tools, and a couple provari's.

After that, I will be practicing doing builds until I am comfortable doing them, then decide what rta's I personally like the best, and making sure I have a few of them and assorted parts for them.

After that I will be done.. I'm trying not to overstock or under stock.. going for that happy medium that will serve me well regardless.

And I definitely expect that to happen in the not to distant future. I hope I am totally wrong but I am prepared just in case. I am so sad though that so many that have no idea as to what is happening won't have the opportunity to stock up like we have. Those new to this miracle and those that have not yet found it are the ones that will be hurt the worst. :(

If you're starting to stockpile now, buy the stuff likely to decrease in availability soon (or sooner than other things). Stuff like flavors (non tobacco derived), wire, cotton, bottles, batteries, and assorted and sundry will always be around (PG and VG too). What will not? Nicotine should be your #1, 2, and 3 purchase. No nic, no further point unless you like 0 nic. Add some power sources/mods and some tanks next. They will likely be around for some time, so it doesn't have to be tomorrow.

I'd be looking around the end of the year for that. Perfect present to ring in the New Year. I doubt it will be earlier, but I have no clue other than the knowledge regulatory agencies always like picking dates like that to annoy people at the least opportune time.
