Here's a coil on an AGI in dripper mode. 3-strand twisted 28g, .5 ohm. I was so ...... when I tightened down the positive screw, I had the legs dead straight and it looked so clean, then after I snugged the screw it bent a bit :(

Still vapes excellent, long legs get the coil only a few millimeters in front of the air hole. I really wish that positive leg was straight though.

Just posted this in the micro coil thread but thought I'd share here as well!

Decided to try something out of the ordinary (for myself at least) tonight. I found some 30g while looking in my vape box tonight. Tried out some dual coils on my cyclone bf.

Bottom one got a little messed up from mounting but I fixed it after I wicked.

Fired up evenly on the first try!

Wicked with some organic cotton balls.

Higher than what I usually build with 26g but I'm seriously enjoying this build. Wicks perfectly. Flavor is definitely better than my normal 10 wrap with 26g and my batteries will like that. First dual coil build using my reo and I'm pretty satisfied with it. I will definitely be picking up some more 30g and may even try it with 29 or 28g in the future!

Further apart decreasing throat hit? Or do I have that backwards? The throat hit on this is amazing right now. One of the best I have found. And the nic delivery is almost overwhelming. I haven't felt a buzz like this in a long time!

If you vary the distance between them you should be able to control throat hit to your liking also.

I think the legs were twisted before I started capturing them with the screw heads. They sort of rearranged themselves under pressure. That's a pretty tight work space for a triple, tho. So I had to balance pretty legs against having airflow everywhere I wanted (through the gap and over/under the back coil) AND have ample room for all three wicks to luxuriate out of the coil and find the deck of the atty without impediment.

Awesome build as usual Pdib!

To fix your twisty leg issues, have you thought of using a tiny ring terminal like this:

I know I've seen ones small enough for use with wire and posts, I only worry about possible unsafe metals being used in those little terminals.

I've actually been considering searching for some to make easily removable/replaceable coils. I always hate trashing a build just to try something new, and remounting coils that have already been taken off always gets a little messy compared to a fresh coil. But with the little ring terminals you could mount/dismount coils very easily without worrying about bending legs and all that.

Just an idea!

creative, UncleChuck! I once used an automotive connector in a vivi-nova modification. I could taste it. So I think you're right about the unsafe metal part.
