I feel the same way. Twisted 28g micros were my all time vape, but I built a tiger coil (may recall, posted about ago) and it's pretty much the same, although I feel like the tiger eats up juice quicker

I feel ya. I just went to 2x30 ga. twisted at 1.1 ohms. I don't want anything that uses more juice than this.

Oh I forgot, this thing "Chucks the Vapor".

So Ive been able to make a 1.1ohm twisted 30 microcoil on 1/16 id(1.6mm) with like 9 wraps. I tried to do it again except with 5/64 I'd but with 9wraps I got .92 ohms..

Guess I'm gonna have to go out n get 32g if I want to twist again for my provari. That or go back to mechs

so I got bored at work and used the last of my 28g and did a twisted dual dragon. OH...MY....GAAAWD

yes this thing chucks the vapor lol. And that's on a battery I've been using since 10am. Gonna pop a fresh one in and see what happen

Running a REO Grande, REOMizer 2.0 micro-coiled at .81 Ω, wicked with cotton, and a UD Drip Tip. Juiced with "Vanilla Nut Delight" from locally made Witches' Brew. Paired with a cup of coffee, delish!

Does anyone know the difference in vape quality when using twisted coils on a Id like 1/16 to something bigger like a 5/64 or 3/32? I've always had great vapes with 1/16 so I've been kinda hesitant to move up in ID even though I've tried 5/64.

My two strand twists are done on 1/6", when my trip twist are on 3/32. Either way, coming out in the .8-1.2 ohm range. Trip twist does heat up slow though..

Yeah, that's the main difference, I'd say. You'll get much slower heat-up time. That could be good if you're trying to replicate a mellow cigar kin'a experience. Personally, I find I lose some flavor too, tho. (with the bigger IDs)

Here's a few coils out of my RM2's ...

MM pops a bit more than I like, sometimes like a cannon going off but flavor is great (MM in the middle RM2 only pops a little)! I like twisted round kanthal a little better because it doesn't pop as much. Something very odd in the back of the throat with the Rene41 wire but it's great otherwise. I keep going back to about 5/64 vs 1/16 wraps because I can get more than 1 hit per squonk in the REO. Starting to settle in on a few BF RM2 coil styles I like best... though still some coils to try!

Agree on the flavor loss, but for some, that's a good thing. Actually for me it's been great - opened me up to a whole new world of flavors that were much too strong/sweet/whatever for me previously.

Yeah, the big trip twist is solely for Serendipity from HHV. Its just a bit too strong on a hotter and/or smaller coil.

Had that problem a few times when I started making it. Scared the heck out of the dog. With certain juices it needs to settle in good. Think it might have to do with moisture content. Also, dry burn and compress the heck out of it with tweezers when red hot before wicking usually does takes care of that. Haven't had that problem with DIY Nude Nicotine flavors or TFA Orange Cream and Key Lime. Also, with magic I prefer 1.2 to 1.35mm ID with more cotton packed in the coil and less outside it than usual and frequent coil bathing squonking.

Quad coil build on an igo w3 with 30g kanthal 10 wraps on a 2mm bit & it came out to .5 ohms & using a Sony VTC4 battery rated at 30A and I am vaping some Babas Cake from Tampa Vapor
