no, it bends easy, what i do is cut off three lengths of 32g A1 kanthal about 6inches each, then using two set's of pliars, hold all three with one set about 5mm from the end, while twisting together with the other pliars, just to keep all the ends together so they dont move while you start braiding.
With braiding say you have the three wires and you start from the left first, so you grab both the left and middle wire together and you twist the wires so the left comes over the middle and the middle comes under the left, then you grab the right and middle, twisting the right over middle and middle under right, and you would continue this untill youve braided but i find that doing it this way makes some inconsistancies in the braid so i normally just run through the length by alternating from left & right wire moving it into the middle position.
when the braid is finished grab both the pliars and twist off the end so it doesnt loosen off, then run either your thumb nail or a bit of plastic up and down the braid to tighten up the braid, then your ready to wrap your coil's.
It may seem like a lot of effort but it really isnt, takes about 5mins to braid up about 6inches and tighten it all.:) besides, its well worth it! IMO

For me 32g is the only one worth braiding, you dont get the same results with other gauge wire. And between 4 & 7 wraps on each coil of a dual seems to be the magic number for me, 3 is to hot and 8 is to slow :D

.5-.18 ohms with 32g is the range ive used.

Yeah

32 is best for braid, hands down. Have had great experiences with 4strand 36 braids as well. I haven't done a braid in ages though cause it's just too time consuming. Is just too easy to twist kanthal with a drill. Braid is superior though.

Dual micro coils (dragon style) with 26 gauge kanthal wrapped 8 times around a 1/32" paper clip registering at 0.28 Ω on a Stillare RDA I just received yesterday. Stillare has brass posts and is mounted on a Caravela with gold-plated brass contacts. It changes the weather and tastes great!

Now, for the pictures:

I knew AGA-T7 could do better.
I took two coils of 1.0 ohm each and put them one into the other. One, the inner coil is made of 0.6 mm Kanthat ribbon and the outer of 0.8 mm. I put a layer of Rayon in-between the coils and added more Rayon on the outside to prevent leaking. All that while keeping a hole in the middle of the inner coil unobstructed. I then placed this Hybrid Dual Coil/Rayon assembly right over the Airflow.
Well, I think it blows Fogger out of the water now. IMO.

So... A week ago someone posted pictures of himself using perfectly braided wires. So I decided to try it out with 3x 32ga kanthal. Unfortunately, I sucked absolute crap at braided and ended up with a loose and pretty inconsistent braiding.

Decided to try it out anyways. Wrapped 11 times around a 5/64 drill bit, came out to 1.15 ohms. While each wrap was tight and touching each other like in a typical tight microcoil, because I sucked at braiding, the wire strand itself was just riddled with gaps all over.

Damned thing is vaping ......edly well, and the vapor production is ridiculous. I'm baffled. No clue how that's working.

If you want cleaner twisted the way I do it is by putting the ends in the drill's chuck, and put a screwdriver threw the loop while twisting. that will keep the tension equal between the two strains and the will be equal lengths when you start.

Oh I do already use a drill to get TWISTED wires that are super tight

I was referring to BRAIDING multiple wires which is a little different from twisting apparently.
