I've tried the Japanese cotton
The koh gen doh And the sheisido.
In my experience sheisido didn't collapse on me and was super easy to work with.
The KGD has a slight off white color with little brown specks throughout (seeds) and it is very good and fairly easy to work with. Both of them beat out rayon for me. The feel of rayon makes my teeth itch, and when i vape it, ot happens to of course this is entirely my head messing with me but i haven't been able to get past it yet so i can give it a good try

You guys and your fancy cotton..... If you haven't noticed everyone who tried rayon is using rayon, go to the rayon thread and ask for some, it's sweet!
I've only seen about two min of one of that guys videos a long time ago; he was popping coils trying to figure out how to work a genny.... Now I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I've never learned anything from him.. However, I'm not as big of a YouTube fan as you guys are apparently. Enjoy your cotton.

while you rayon buff's are in da house, has any of you got a very slight cardboard taste from it, im presuming its due to too much rayon in the coil but at the same time if i put less in the coil i get dry hits... i'm not knocking rayon, i just want to work this out, as i cross from rayon to japanese cotton to other cotton's often and some very nice guys have donated a share to me, i have rayon balls and 3 batchs of long rayon from dif people and i get the same with all of it, any ideas? 
considering that vid came out last week, and the rayon thread is pretty darn mature, I'd tend to agree

I like Phil though. One of the most consistently on-point reviewers on Tube. Some of the other guys I can't trust to be objective or thorough.
One of the best ways to tell what's going on if your having anything but great results with rayon is to look at the wick after some use. Because it shrinks as opposed to cotton, you'll see a gap between the top of the inside of the coil and the wick. That's the most common, due to using too thin of a wick. You can pull each tail apart and get it taught while feeding thru the coil, I like it a but tighter that I'd run a cotton wick.
yes T the very first time i wicked with it it tasted great but someone told me to fill up with more rayon orelse i would get dry hits, but when i have it tight i taste something that isnt the juice or coil, weird taste almost like cardboard, But!! this might just be me! jeez i can taste something on the G-plat also, tastebuds are too good now

I just recently started to test Rayon in a few of my builds that are always KGD cotton and i noticed that too but only when my dripper was almost dry... almost like a"pre-dry hit warning". Odd but it def tasted like wet cardboard (or oxidized beer for my fellow beer geeks lol).
I don't like rayon, it works better than anything else I've used and its super cheap and easy too use. I wanted to love it, I really did. The problem is that it makes me light headed, at first I thought like most people that I was getting a great nic hit, so I rewicked and used non nic juice. Still light headed. That scares me and organic cotton works close to the same so no thanks.

Tobh v2 clone, stock holes
Single 28ga coil @ 2.3 ohm
Rayon wick
Vamo v5, stacked Efest purple 18350
Display says 8.1v when fully charged, set to 15 watts.

this was suppose to go with the diamond build picture, its the coil before it was opened into a diamond

Could be, this is the SS one from the Focalecig $19.90 group buy last month. It defaults to RMS and you cannot see the software version. If I hold the left top button it displays voltage, hold the right top button it displays ohms.
