I'm still new to rebuilding and tried a 2-wire coil (28 gauge) with 5 wraps, registering 0.6 ohms.
I drilled out the post holes and installed Fat Daddy's knurled screws. I had a dual coil (0.7 ohms) and feel like this build produces more vapor.

I've been waiting to see that diamond is that g-plat?
Parallel wrap ^^^^That's what the cool kids are calling it, looks great, one of my favorite ways to wrap.
That's technically coils in series, parallel is when you wrap two or more strands side by side

no man, just regular old A1 kanthal
i have some 22, 24 & 26g G-plat here also but unless you are going below .2Ω its not worth getting, i tried a good few dif coil setups and atty's but tbh i didnt like gplat, i must have super sensitive taste buds or something, i get a funny taste from it, same thing with certain ribbons i get a metallic taste.... if it makes a difference i got the red Gplat in all 3, the cotton that came with them was good and spongey though, its what im using in all my latest builds

well heres mine, but the magma was the only atty i had free at the time so its not an ideal setup, this was just a test & as i had already taken pictures along the way, well here you are.. its 28g parallel on 1/16

I'm still learning the lingo as I build, but I was experimenting with my iAtty setup and after getting a dry hit, I added more cotton around the post to wick better and left out the screw for the juice hole. It seems to be working well...when I chain vape this, I take my drag with the PV at an angle to allow the juice to soak the cotton. I also drilled out a 7/64 airhole.
hum, over .5 i think, next time i will half the ohms it's ok but im used to warmer.
but! i did make this one on the atomic below, dual 24g 8 wrap, 3/32id @ .28Ω ..
this one is a keeper

And you can fix that 28g one by making a twin so she don't get lonely lol

yes the dual 24 is best with the single 22 not far behind, i saved the 22 i took out
Yup!! all the better to eat monster wire with
6-wraps of 22ga Gplat which comes out to .16 Ohms. I normally don't vape this low, but I just got the Mephisto in and figured I'd put these big post holes to work!
Now I don't know if this is a function of the Mephisto or the Gplat (I am new to both), but I'm getting AWESOME flavor down here at .16!! And the clouds certainly don't disappoint!!

Definitely put those large post holes to work JP! Never tried Gplat wire, tried some of the Hotwires a while back and have been looking into royal wires as well. Its just hard to validate the price point for such a little amount of wire!
Does anyone know if there is a source for that cotton they give in the G-Plat bags, i'm getting a Taste for it, its real fluffy, almost sponge like. less prone to collapse .
Lol I've been looking in to their cotton to it's super fluffy and easy to work with I even emailed them but they never got back to me pretty disappointing if you find out lmk
