My modified Wolverine (Russian 91% V3.0 Mega Clone) was flooding somewhat.
I had to do this Wicking Madness to prevent flooding.
I never had to wick anything like that except Ithika and Aqua.
I'm still waiting for a dry hit, but it didn't happen so far in 2 hours of vaping.

yeah its the best vape ive had in the magma, the stove tops seem to keep the vape smoother than a normal coil of the same ohm's, only after the 3rd back to back pull does it get to hot for my slimey lips :)
i took the plastic spacer out from between the posts so the cotton slides down through the center better.
i cut a rectangle out of a ... cotton pad long enough to reach the bottom and the width between the posts, cut it from two furthest corners to make two wedges and slid them points down inbetween, works a treat :)

Here let me try one of these fancy pics lol.

cats rda, quad 30g, 10wrap, 1.4mm, .5ohm, shesidio wicks.
This is my first vapable build in this thing, and this has the best flavor i ever produced(of course i have a short list of attys to compare) vapor production ain't nothing to write home about.

Great looking setup. How's the 3 strand parallel working out?

The idea was to get something slightly resembling flat ribbon, but not as flimsy.
Resistance of three parallel strands of 28 Gauge is roughly equal to somewhere between 19 Gauge and 18 Gauge wires.
That said, plus three strands are covering three times more surface area of the wick and I've got myself a 59.52 Watts "Cloud Chasers" dripper at 0.23 Ohms.
I had to DIY me a bottle of juice with 2.0 Mg Nicotine for this thing instead of my usual 6.0 Mg. just to be able to handle this build. But it sure fogs up the room in the hurry.

Nice! I've got the same kind of performance going with parallel 26 about the same resistance.

Okay I thought about actually running this but I changed my mind. I ran it in single and it was fantastic.

Quad 28ga kanthal parallel. Will give it another go soon.

Finally got them 4/8 strands in the center post.

All cut and tightened.

As you can see I've already put one side through the test. Just wanted to add another to see what it would be.

OK, getting ready to order some muji and kgd. Anyone got any tutorials and tips on setting it up and using either of those?

Look up super x drifter on YouTube. He has a bunch and is a very respected reonaut.

The only thing I have to say are...

1) divide pad into half thickness before cutting off strips

2) cut off strips parallel to the direction of the fiber (you'll be able to visually see it; if not, it runs parallel to the longer side of the KGD pad)

3) after cutting off a good sized strip, gently massage it into shape; the KGD is actually pretty dense as it is, so you don't wanna compress it anymore.

I also have a little blog entry on using KGD specifically for a kayfun, but it's applicable for all attys really. Some pictures to help along.

Hope that helps!

i liked the dual stovetop i made on the magma so much that i made a single
22g stove top at about.3Ω and have been using it for the last 3 days solid.
To me it only vapes good building it with gaps between the wraps.
Its not an all show and no go coil. it has a similar sort of hit as a nano/supernano on a cloud with all the flav & cloudage, only better.
I start by cutting a piece of 22g 60mm long, bend a 90deg in one leg 9mm long, then i place this leg into my pin vice starting the first wrap on a half-1mm id pin, it quite easy to continue the spiral while keeping a gap about the thickness of the 22g.
i install the coil with a small gap between it and the post's, about 3mm and after installed i pull or push the top of the stovetop 1mm closer to the posts so as it has a slight angle.
if it starts hissing or sizzling after one toot then you need to poke the cotton towards the coil or just move it slightly

this below is 3days use, you can also see ive tucked the top corners of the cotton back under itself.

below is the coil after a dry burn

below is a huge pic of a square of ... pad that i forgot to crop :D nothing is taken off the thickness of the pad, i cut the slits for the coils legs to slip through, i start off by holding the middle part of the cotton tight in tweezers and force it between coil and posts and use a pin or similar to poke into place,
once in place you can poke at the cotton to push it towards the coil to eliminate any gaps

if you havent tried this yet then try it its really good

I like as cool as a vape as I can get around 0.4ohm, and flavor is my number one concern, I have a quasar and an ov2 much prefer the quasar, actually I just dropped it in the lake so I had to order another one, I think the magma looks do bulky, I just haven't been able to get one.

Should I?

Anyone have some pics of a magma, preferably stainless, on a XXIX, much appreciated!

I tried a Magma as a dripper for some sampling and thought I'd like them BF but when I converted 2 of them and ran dual MM coils it was far from cool! Held way too much heat for me. Too big for single coil so into the PIF bucket they went.

Before you get another Quasar, have tried VERITAS? It's all about the flavor.
