How did you find the vape at 1.5ohms and did the 28swg heat up quick enough.

I find it pretty pleasant and the flavor is awesome. It heats up fast for me. I can not take a normal long pull off this thing. Plenty of vapor and it still is sizzling a couple seconds after I let to of the fire button. vaping at 12 watts on a vamo.

Prior to micros I have been using 3/4 wrap 0.9 to 1.1 ohm and silica
I would say this equals or betters vapour production
I am still striving to find more flavour and may revisit the low ohm's with bigger diameter / fewer wraps or flirt with lower ohm micros.
Huge positives I have found with the micros are:
Consistency of desired ohms.
Ease and speed of changing cotton wicks and dry burning coil in between.
Adjustment of coil position.

My journey continues, primarily in search of flavour.

Say, UKP, can you describe what "element" of flavor is missing for you? All of it? High end, treble notes? Middle? Bass?

I have to say it is awesome, the best genny setup I'v done so far. I set my RSST up with .094" 7x19 strand ss rope with the center bundle of wires removed and 500 mesh on top. I used 2 of the individual center wires to make a twisted coil, Yes a stainless steel wire coil not kanthal. I did a 4-5 wrap coil and it metered out to .7 ohms and WOW just WOW this thing is awesome. Just check out the vapor shot I took the vape is so thick and heavy is starts to fall instantly :))

Let me know x if you have tried any of the above and if so your views.
I have read your posts about 15 wraps but am curious about multiple air holes.
Thanks

Paul, I use only the stock airhole, but I bore it to 1/16" (1.6mm). My attys are slightly different, in that juice is squozen in thru the bottom on demand. This means a short wick and less chance to drown / overcooling the setup like standard dripping from above.

I have found that more wraps = better vape, around 1/16" bore and 10wraps of 30 ga Kanthal really shine for me on a mech. On my VV, I run about 12 wraps :)

I remember the first time I ever had a REAL vape. What I mean is, the first time my setup actually produced enough vapor that it felt like it was pushing it into my mouth. It was a VAMO with a vivi nova on it. I think I had it set to 12 watts. Two toots later, I fried the coil. Anyway, this one here is producing enough steam pressure to blow my cheeks out like "The Amazing Satchmo"!

26g Kanthal in a true 1/16" micro coil w/ sterile cotton batting @ 0.8Ω. (looks fat; but that's cause the wire's so thick) If any of y'all have tried a proper micro coil, you know that its a multiplier.

Makes me wish I did cloud pics. Then again, you can probably see it from your house.

I thought about trying 26 gauge just haven't gotten it ordered yet. That is a nice coil and yes, a hit off a proper micro coil is like getting hit in the lungs by a young Mike Tyson.

Yeah, I had a hard time finding wicking material that would keep up. I found that the skinny Nextel (xc-132) could do it. Then I switched to gooseboxin'. The sterile cotton (balls or batting) works great for this. The nextel, I think, is best for anything where active wicking is required (drippers and such); but, with squonking, its like a squeeze is saying, "here, hold this", and the cotton (although not a better wicker) is a better "holder". I'm not even sure if the nextel can do 26g. Bottom Feeding, I mean. (It does great with 28) Haven't tried it yet. But I can get more vape from a single squeeze on sterile cotton than on NEXskinnyTEL.

I tried silica strands and ecowool before cotton. I couldn't chain vape without getting dry hits after 3-4 pulls. After I put cotton in, I chain vape with no problems at 12watts on a vamo. If I get a dry hit, it is because I have no more juice let in my dripper and the wick is bone dry. Believe me, you know when you get a dry hit with cotton!

I am not exactly sure pdib but would describe it as lacking in depth and as though there is more hidden away that I am not releasing.

I will try and track down some 28swg or maybe even experiment with some 26swg.

I will venture into the world of multiple air holes perhaps this weekend along with pdibs thick wire low ohm coils and post some reports.
