Here is one of my better builds so far. Dual Twisted 28g wrapped around a precision screwdriver. .34 Ohms

Looks kinda like mine :D

Thanks lol I almost ...... myself laughing. I know mine aren't BAD but I just can't seem to get a low resistance build where the coils seem like they are touching.

That and the legs of mine always seem to get twisted or bent in some way that makes the coil twist when I'm tightening down the screws and then it's impossible to straighten it back up without messing up the wrap on each end.

I'm not exactly shooting for super-sub-ohm but I enjoy a nice warm vape with a decent cloud. I did a half - assed single nano coil but I was dripping every three hits so it wasn't worth it for a long term setup, but I enjoyed the warmth and volume it produced at .4 ohms.

I'm using a trident clone rda and a Maraxus clone Mech with Sony vtc4's for a reference of my setup.

I use a trident v2 all day everyday, has to be the easiest rda I've ever used to build. I had problems when I first started building because my vape shop only carried 32g & 30g kanthal. They are too thin to easilly wrap tight. I went to 28, the little bit of extra thickness helped alot! Perfect coils first try. Now I'm using 26g and fricken love it.

I also have a drill bit I cut so it's maybe half a cm long and I put it inside my coils when I tighten them down to stop them from changing shape. I acquired this method because with my omega v2 rda the walls are so high on the base I can't even use a normal length bit or screwdriver to hold it straight.

Hope my little rant helped

Must agree! It's a lot easier to make tidy coils with thicker wire. It's more forgiving to mistakes, and it can be finagled and molded back into shape without distorting as easily as thin wire does.

After building with 26g or thick twisted wire for awhile, I tried to build a 32g coil for use on my regulated stuff, and it turned out messy as hell. I feel like I can build some pretty nice coils with thicker wire, but I couldn't make a decent one with 32g to save my life. I gave up and used some 30g, but even that was a nightmare. I gave up on trying to use my regulated stuff for anything other than an ohm meter after that ;)

Thick wire truly spoils!

BTW, to change the subject a bit, I was just browsing through this thread from the beginning and a few things became very obvious:

People were using gennys a LOT more back then

People were really scared of compressed coils back then

There were some questionable coils being built (but also some very nice onces!)

I just found it funny how trends have changed quite a bit over a short period of time.

Lil "You" coil build. Dual double "You" 26ga on a 7/64 bit inner diameter. Originally wanted to make a quad but this thing was firing up too fast already as a dual. This thing makes a really dense burn. For cloud chasers I suggest bending the tips down a bit to avoid a dry hit when taking those long drags. Place cap hole directly in front of the lowest coil as it flows upwards past the other coils. Firing video will be up tomorrow along with a in depth explanation on how to bend these bad boys. Had to rush building a bit due to the Sharks vs Ducks hockey game haha. Go Sharks!!!

The last builds i did before my mod got stolen.
The left is a simple dual coil, of 30 kanthal. The right was my first attempt at a twisted set up, which was a 6/7 wrap of 32 kanthal. I don't remember the resistance of them,(at least +1, but less than 1.5) but they put out pretty good sized clouds.

Currently waiting for my replacement via vapemail lol >.<

Turned my AIOS Gravity Fed Genni into a Dual Coil Auto Dripper. No pics of the wick but imaging a bunny loop with a small needle in the middle to bread the surface tension.

how do you wick it??
I use mine with a single vertical micro and cotton, then place a small tail of cotton touching the wick and getting into the tank hole, the issue is that it works great for a fer hours or days and then suddenly decides to flood

If I could figure out how you built this, I'd be building it tonight! This and the Fence Build have to be my favorites so far.

A lil firing vid of the "you" build. Check previous post for details on the build on the igow. Email, fb pm, forum pm, or IG direct if you need any help with this. Once again I will get back to you sooner or later please be patient. Check next post in a few about an in depth look at each of the you coils. Also happy Friday and to all those lucky folks going to the @stellavapors exhibit tommorrow! Everyone else have a good weekend!

I use it for dripping, I'm gonna do a kayfun build later and see how it works. I see no reason it would be a problem. It saturates really fast and holds juice. I use untreated, Undyed whatever they do to it lol its organic hemp. I found it at wal mart =]

It does taste like hemp longer than cotton has its weird taste. I like It tho, it's natural tasting to me. It's dissipated now, I'm really enjoying this, so I'm going thru re wicking my things lol
