Just decided to rebuild mine :p still 28 gauge kanthal. Now 9 wraps, .55 ohm

Well, that (26650) and, if you noticed, I raised my coils way up?
That's because the airflow holes are made that high up and I had to match them with my coils.
Raising the coils that high leads to having too much length of the legs, which leads to "Hot Leg" issues and too much unused/wasted resistive wire. That's why I chose to use Non Resistive wire for those legs, plus 26 Gauge Non Resistive wire helps to support otherwise very flimsy parallel coil made out of 3 strands of 30 Gauge.

I still don't get how the R-NR-R thing works but it does and that's the point.
