In that comparison picture the Provari looks like it has the 2500mah battery in it with the expansion ring along with the extension cap. With just the 18650 in there and extension cap it would be about another 1/8" shorter.

I plan on getting a Lavatube at some point in time. My second Provari will be here today but I would like to try the Lavatube and I would use it in the garage when I am working on things.

Dang… That Lavatube is Longer than a Provari With an Extender Cap.

A shame that they aren’t offering a 18490/18500 Lavatube also. Especially since from a manufacturing standpoint all it takes is to cut/thread the tube body shorter.

Some of us aren’t looking for something that can be vaped for 2 days straight. But more something that doesn’t hit the windshield when vaping in the car.

what i dont understand is the chinese can make ss flashlights with the batterys and led out of stanless and all machined and sell those in a dollar store for $5, a mod isnt much more than those flashlights. a tube, end cap and the top cap, why does the cost so much?

Probably because they are making tens of thousands of those flashlights. Economy of scale.

I actually think from a pure profit standpoint that Volcano (Lavatube) and Provape (Provari) are probably making a similar amount in profit per unit sale as a percentage of the manufacture costs. The Lavatube probably is coming in at <$20.00 to make when you see sellers on Alibaba selling them at $32.00. Both are probably selling their units for 2x the price of manufacture or more hence why they each carry a one year warranty and can be replaced if not serviceable. Maybe I am way off with my assumptions but who knows.

My money is on Provari Comming up with a V2.0 of the provari with new features to keep on top of the market.

True, but I would like to see them come out with a V3.0 that has less features. (less features should not mean less quality)
I don't need flashing lights and blinking meters to get a good vape.

Provari is American made.......beautiful form and function:) In the past 2 yrs + I've tried quite a few mods........Provari is solidly built......I have 2 and always watching the classies:)

Yep the Provari is quality ++++. Many don't understand the average wage in China is $200- $400 per month....Anyone here willing to work for that type of dough? I also believe the Chinese do not want to start a price war with the American vendors as it would lead to many accessories being built here. They'd rather focus on the cartos, carts, attys and other items that are constantly being re ordered. I buy all my stuff from N. American Suppliers because of the jobs situation and the belief that quality standards tend to be higher even though I'm aware that many items are imported from China.

I wont be surprised when if it does come out, someone is already selling an 18350 version of the lavatube called thunder volt...
