@Frogzx, have you actually tried ordering from any of the vendors discussed? You might be pleasantly surprised and not have any issues. If you are worrying about this up front, don't. As mentioned, I've only had issues at Element vape, and I have ordered gear from a LOT of different places.

Some folks pass through age verification at Element, some of us don't. Will probably be the same at other places. Only way to know is to try and see.

I would just continue your online browsing, select the products/vendors you want, and try to order. The worst that can happen is it gets declined, your card isn't charged. No big deal. Move on to another site at that point. Nobody is going to contact you to try to verify, it's on you to prove your age if you wish to continue with the order.

I remember 'back in the day' buying 'stuff' underage and getting away without being carded (in person). Now, at the local grocery store, the cashiers ring me up with the senior's discount (without asking me for proof of old age), and I'm nowhere near that, lol. I can look pretty rough when I don't shave for a few days. Just trying to put it into perspective I guess. ;)

Seems kind of silly when you're older having to prove your age still, but that's the world we live in. The places selling to us have to protect their interests as well. As consumers, we still can choose where to shop depending on how easy and seamless they make this process. I just choose not to shop somewhere that makes this more difficult on me as the consumer. If the other vendors can verify my age, then Element can as well if they want my business.

Expect I don't want random companies to have photo's of me in their database. The address and B-day I understand they probably already have.

What about traffic lights and security cameras? Your DL photo is already in a database because of DHS Smart ID rules. It's a Brave New World.

I get a kick out of people freaked out about me donating my DNA. What is someone going to do with my DNA that's so terrible, clone someone with faulty genetics? I sure had no problem throwing around about 250,000 DNA samples when I smoked.

If people want your identity they can get it. The idea is to not make it easy. You do that by only using it at trusted places. I don't think going to places who aren't following the law are more trusted than those who are. They might be safer but as time goes on they will be fewer and fewer.
The other option is to go full on Uni-Bomber and unplug from the world.

Call me crazy, paranoid or whatever. I just prefer to minimize my exposure online. I can buy what I want without sending my photo, so why do it?

I don't mind. Do what you want.
I would question why a store wanted my DL since I fly right through the verification.
I think when it was wanted for a contest I was told I could blank out the photo. They basically needed an official document showing age. Something to show they tried.

I have my picture enough places the picture the state has flying around the wires isn't a big deal to me.

I am very private too and understand - call them. I provided some links to them. They say they verify instantly name and birthdate so see if they can verify you and if they can then you are safe to order.
