Now i'm impatiently waiting for @IDJoel and his reviews.....LOL
You are not going to be well rewarded for waiting...

Rebuilt a single coil dripper, and gave all 6 Stixx Mixx concentrates a test vape, at 3 days old.

All were mixed at manufacturers max suggested strength (most had a suggested range of 3 to 4% variance).

All 5 tobaccos (Aged Burly, American Virginian, Havana Primed, Nicaraguan Seco, Whiskey Cavendish) were very faint... almost nondescript. They are all going to require more time before I can even begin to form an opinion.

The two most promising ones were the Whiskey Cavendish, and the American Virginian. At least these two gave an impression of tobacco. I am not yet getting any whiskey notes in the Cavendish yet; but only time will tell.

The sixth concentrate was the Turner's Tea. It was certainly more flavorful (stronger) than any of the tobaccos. I got no "tea" flavor, but there was a pronounced berry taste. I couldn't pin it down exactly, but it was like a raspberry/strawberry blend with maybe a touch of cherry. And... rather sweet. There was a plant "leaf" or "stem" undertone that may mature into the "tea" component; but it is far from that right now.

The only thing I can say, with any certainty, is these need more time. I will revise them at the one week mark and see how they change. They will get the full 1 month treatment before I consider any adjustments.

I should also mention, this is my first experience with NET tobacco, so I don't know what to expect. I have vaped 8-12 synthetic tobaccos, and have enjoyed those, but I have no idea how comparable NETs might be.
Huh? How can that be?
They shipped 2 gal. of VG (at 10lbs each) to me 6 months ago, for $14.10 by UPS Ground! And that's from them in OH, all the way to me in FL! You're much closer to them!
For what it's worth; I just plugged 1 gallon (8lbs.)into my registered BA cart, and this was my cheapest option shipped to Idaho:

This must be the fastest moving thread on ECF. Spent a few days offline, moving. Well, actually still offline except for my cellphone. Now I'm 400 posts behind!

Oh, well. On to post 6681.

You have to warn people to not post very much because you'll be off or limited for a few days.

Even that doesn't make any sense, to me. Idaho is further away from OH than NH is, isn't it? Yet it costs more to ship the same identical item to NH?

Also...sending 1 gallon of PG (8 lbs) to you, is only $1.24 less than sending 2 gallons of VG (20lbs) to me? I just don't get it.

I'm just glad I live in FL in this case, after seeing how those carriers structure their pricing...or I should say... not seeing/understanding how they do it.

IDI0T calls it "Retaliatory Tarrifs". I have all the ingredients except the TFA Kentucky Bourbon.

TFA DX Peanut Butter 6
TFA Kentucky Bourbon 2.25
TFA Bavarian Cream 1.5
FLV Caramel 0.75
FLV Bourbon 0.75
FW Hazelnut 0.75
Sounds good!
A little late but as promised... :D

A modified version of Marzi's Fez by Kinnikinnick on ELR...

"My" Marzi's Fez
Turkish Blended (Hangsen) 7%
Marzipan (FA) 1.5%
Tobacco Absolute Garuda (INW) .5% (Optional or to taste)

Nutty Highway
Highway (Hangsen) 7%
*Nut Mix (FA) 1.25%
Tobacco Absolute Garuda (INW) .5% (Optional or to taste)

*or whatever nut flavoring you like. I've used Pistachio & Toasted Almond (TFA), Butter Pecan & Hazelnut (FW), Hazelnut & Cream & Roasted Pecans & Cream (WF) @ 2% or so with good results. YRMV... :)

Age 3 - 4 weeks...
I need to try the INW Tobacco Absolute Garuda. When TFA stopped selling their Tobacco Blend, all the discussions about tobacco absolute confused me. So I gave up and lost track. Maybe time to give it a try.
I have ONE of those coming. Think it’s the light rum?? The one you recommended ... I’m half wayish through the cooking bonanza. So far have packaged for her freezer: 4 roasted chickens, 4 chicken pot pie casseroles, 3 roast and gravies, 6 3c freezer bags of homemade mac and cheese. Made the hubs a fresh peach and blueberry cobbler for staying out of the way. Tomorrow is a ham ( note the pre-bribe ;) ... hubs will have to run it through the slicer for me), chicken enchiladas, 4 meatloafs and 12 stuffed potatoes. THEN I can mix juice, if I have the energy!
Actually, it is !!! Alternatively, since the kids have grown and gone, I have an empty upstairs with its own den and 55” tv. You can come be my keeper, heaven knows I need one!!
Hmmm, tempting.
Another late reply... <sigh>

Scutch (RWhy4 reloaded) is one that has worked for me, as well as a few acquaintances I have mixed for. It is good as a shake-n-vape, and it just gets better with age. It is also very versatile. I have made all sorts of subs, changes, and/or additions, and have never ended up with an unvapable batch. It is a bit sweet for my taste buds these days; but it was a winner in my RY4 days. :)
Thanks!
Here ya go and this is plain yummy.

Pecan Coffee Cake
Cap Espresso 1%
FA Fresh Cream 1%
WF Roasted Pecan 5%
FA Vanilla Tahiti .8%
Thanks!
You could sub an equal amount of a tobacco for the coffee or something similar. The recipe is open to minor changes. It's the WF Roasted Pecan that brings the yummyness.
Yes, likey.

Now on to post 6901.

I don't pretend to understand shipping pricing structures. I would guess they incorporate a means to account for differences including fuel cost, tolls, tariffs, employee wages, and all such ilk. Vendors may even get certain discounts based on the volume sent to particular states.

As for the "less costing more"... that doesn't surprise me much. That is just standard retail 101: "The more you buy (and ship) the better the price becomes."

I just built a cart (at BA) for 2 gallons of PG and 2 gallons of VG. This is the result:
upload_2018-8-1_0-51-47.png

That breaks down to $23.1625/gallon shipped. I didn't see anything on Amazon (including "free" Prime shipping) that matches that.

Essential Depot's Gly-Cube "special" is $119.84 for the same thing. That works out to $29.96/gallon shipped.

I played a little bit on the FedEx rate page, and as best I can tell; the cheapest I (as joe blow citizen) could send the same 38lb. package (36lb. product + 2lb. packaging) between the same zip codes, would be $70.18 (FedEx Home Delivery). So they seem to be passing along at least some discounts.

I'm staying with BA unless someone can show me cheaper.;)

Any plan for today, folks? I don't have much for plans other than try a new mix or two. I've already gave these an earlier try so I pretty much know what to expect. I'm going to avoid the way to sweet one for as long as possible. I really need to look for a new mix or two. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I did a remix of my Bourbon Ry3 because it was too overflavored but the currant bottle is just to good to dump out so I added some base mix to it to cut the flavor down a bit.

So I am trying my 30 day steeping Smoked Bourbon and still liking it. Going to give it a bit of vaping time. I think I already posted the recipe here.

I see you have a few public recipes on ELR. I’ve saved some of yours as I’ve seen them on here. If you don’t mind, do you have public recipes on another? These names look interesting and I know you post good recipes!

You have to wonder how grocery stores can sell gallons of water for just a little over a buck. Must be a truckload at the time to shave the shipping cost.

Shipping has to be a profit center for ecig suppliers.

Probably a lot of it. I ask a pepsi driver once for a couple 12pks of drinks and he said "go to walmart". I ask why he couldnt sale them that cheap and his explination was,"buy 50000 cases and we can talk"

Looking good:) Got a recipe for the Cheesecake (vanilla Japanese)

This recipe is a modified version of "Vanilla Bean Japanese Cheesecake" by Silhouette on ELR... :D

"A light and airy Cheesecake with a soft, cakey Angel Food Style texture. Instead of being creamy and dense, Japanese Cheesecake is quite light, and has a pillowy soft center, similar to a Chiffon Cake." - Silhouette

    Vanilla Japanese Cheesecake
    New York Cheesecake (PUR) 4%
    Angel Cake SC (WF) 2.5%
    Cheesecake Graham (PUR) 2%
    *Italian Cream (Hangsen) 1.5%
    Vanilla Shisha (INW) 1.25%
    Biscuit (INW) 0.5%
Sweetener (TFA) 1% (Optional or to taste)

    Age 4 weeks...

*After a successful re-mix of my Dark Berry Cheesecake, I'm slowly modifying my future cheesecake recipes to include a %age of Italian Cream (Hangsen). ;)
