:D I love me some baccy vapes tho, already had a bottle of Arabic just hadn't gotten around to sampling it yet. All I've tried Hangsen is Desert Ship and I like it fairly well.

Sorry... that was my weak attempt at humor...

You'll probably like the Arabic then... I moved away from baccy flavors a while back and just can't stand 'em anymore... mostly vanilla custards and fruity/creamy vapes for me now...

I'll have to pick up the flavors for that one. All of my current flavors are TFA. :(
You should try it...if ya like bakery, it's so good...feel free to omit the coconut, I just really like coconut, and find it adds a nice "light" note to the mix. But not necessary :)

When you try it be sure to let me know your thoughts...I still feel the balance of flavors could be better but it gets to a point where I like it, and can't figure out how to make it better :D I do think I'll try a tiny bit less waffle next mixing session.

Will do! Sometimes it helps to get someone else's input... I'm still trying to pin down a couple of recipes, then I'll share 'em and see what a few others think. Hard part is rooting out the ones that are testing on cotton... their input don't help. :p

Agreed bro :)

I know...my juices changed dramatically from cotton to rayon...it was like the balance of flavors was thrown off, and the flavors themselves morphed. I need to do some readjusting on one of my baccy vapes. Suddenly the baccy is way overpowering everything else :D

Yep. Now I'll only test on rayon or ceramic. Anything else adds odd notes or mutes flavors to a point where it's no longer "true". And since I only vape on rayon, it doesn't matter to me whether or not it sucks on cotton! :D

Haha, no the Part 2. I saw Part 1's 751 post count and said, 'Oh, Hell, no!" LOL It seemed like you summed up that thread well in the 1st post here.

So, there's no stuffing of the rba head (especially in the case of the Atlantis-like RBA heads), as one would do with cotton to reduce flooding? I can grasp the concept of thin tails touching the built deck of an RBA & RTA tank (i.e., Lemo), but these rebuildable coil heads had me wondering how to wick it with rayon without flooding out the heads. Is that really enough material to keep the head from drowning in juice?

Pretty much the same, but smaller. The smaller the length of the wick the more you can get away without thinning. Just lay the end of the tails over the feed holes. You will need less rayon in the deck area than with cotton.

On the tiny rba. You can also try to plain cut the tails straight off just shy of the camber wall and fan out the wick, or pancake it as some call it, to fill the area . If you have a short straight wick, little thinning is needed. When the wick is bending down or around you need to thin. Or if you need more juice flow in a tiny wick, thin till it feeds enough.

Rayon is more resistant to flooding than cotton.

Yo Jeremy, you were so right about Rayon I decided to give your ADV a go. Mixed up some Hangsen Arabic @ 3%. Will report back after some steep.

Sweet. It's got a lot of TH. A deep complex and spicy tobacco. Arabic spice, like curry or baharat. I think it's modeled after Doha - original arabic tobacco. I vape it at 3.33%. If you have a really fresh bottle of concentrate it takes longer to steep out. 2-4 weeks I also find I need ~ 3.4% with super fresh too. I prefer older stock because it takes much less steep time with this juice. 1-2wk.

The flavor will be green the first week, so I would recommend waiting at least a week..

Sounds great. Sounds unlike anything I've ever smoked/vaped but I think I'll dig it. I love arabic spices :)

NO!!!! Don't pull the tails up then cut and stuff them back into the chimney, all your doing is putting a mishmash of wicking and IMO chances are its going to leak. I like to juice the wick first then make a fan shape with the juiced wick, cut it then make a waterfall looking to the inside corner of the base with all the wick nice and straight along with all the fibers going the same way. I shimmy the chimney into place making sure there is no fibers ontop the orings. Then from inside I use a dental pick and push the wicking tight against the holes and push the whole waterfall (takes a bit of finagling) down so there is no gaps around the holes. One day I'll remember to take some pics to show how I wick my subtank.
I can lay my subtank down, vape it right to the last drop and constantly refilling but it doesn't leak a single drop unless it falls over on the table and shifts the wick but thats a 30sec fix.

Arabic is much different, to me it is more like highway but with spice. Definitely a grassy tobacco.

OK, I've finally made it through this monstrous thread (whew!) and, yet, I still have a question:

I've been a plug-n-play vaper, using pre-made coils, this whole time. I'm getting tired of buying coils and, now that my husband has been laid off, I am slowly transitioning to rebuildables to save money. I have the Subtank Mini RBA and the Nautilus & Atlantis RBAs. As these have raised juice holes, how do you correctly wick these with rayon? I have OC pads, but I'm a lazy vaper and I'd rather use rayon, if I don't have to rewick so often.

Also, I've got a Lemo 2 and I just can't get the wicking right. Anyone care to post a picture of how you wick yours?

Thanks!
Hi Debbie and welcome!!
Rebuilding the sub tanks can be tedious.... I commend you for attempting it! I understand the have to, anything is better than the stinkies:toast:
I've done it in the past but use more rayon so it's a tighter fit. As rayon shrinks when wet. It should work for you but, consider getting the Lemo to work or find a few bucks to order an rta from fast tech. Many good clones cheap!
I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question! Just trying to help... I'm sure someone here has experience with the Lemo ;)

... Simple is good.

Simple is wise. Simple is excellent. Keep It Simple Sam. :)

I am learning a good bit on my cheap kit. For instance,
learning to discern battery drop off. Find I'm kind of
on par with Drifter, get low on juice in the bottle it
is also battery swapping time. Simple is sweet. :)

With rayon wick, I place just enough in the coils so it is snug. Then, fan and fluff it out on either side of the coil. I cut the ends to just the outside of the deck, stuff the very little back into the well and just slightly under the coil/s. This makes it seem like there are waterfalls reaching down into the well. Find the rayon laps up juice very well. In fact, I may actually squonk too much at times. It is a learning process though and eventually, I'll be more experienced in avoiding dry hits without soaking the deck.
