I'm loving my Aromamizer! Granted the air flow control is a little "unsophisticated" but it works sooooo well. I beat the air flow control by just not using a silicon ring. The draw is fantastic! Unfortunately, liquid consumption is fantastic as well, LOL.

I feel the same way. For me, no air band = too cool of a vape; two hole band = nice and warm but a little restrictive; 4 hole band with parts of the holes covered = not enough direct coil airflow. I'm still trying to dial in the perfect airflow. I got a few spare bands from steam crave since mine came without a 2 hole band, so I may just modify one to have two large cyclops style direct air holes and one or two smaller holes for the indirect to open it up just at ouch. still tinkering with the idea. Hopefully v2 fixes that, and adds top ariflow (my only REAL inconvenience with the device).

What types of builds are you guys using in your Aromamizers? I tried 24g kanthal at 2.5mm, dual vertical, and all I could get it to do was make big clouds with zero flavor. But being verticle, it's such a pain to rewick without removing the coils that I got discouraged and went back to my TFV4

I'm using 3mm, 28 gauge, Ti, in vertical coils with rayon wick. Running 25 to 30 watts, depending on my mood and it's great flavor and vapor. Are your coils oriented properly in relation to the air holes? That can make a significant difference from what I've heard. Check PB's review for the proper alignment (easier than trying to describe how to check).

Speaking of RBAs, hey, Jeremy, now that I've gotten the FEV working I really like it. Great flavor and vapor almost on a par with the Aromamizer which is amazing since the FEV is a single coil and the Aromamizer is a dual coil. Right now I have a one ohm kanthal build in it using it on my IPV2, but will be re-building with a half ohm Ti coil for use on my Invader Mini. I figure that between the Mini being water and shock resistant and the FEV being all stainless, it's a pretty "bullet proof" setup that even I'd have a problem breaking.

I forgot to mention that I got the Velocity 2-post deck, so there's really only one way to orient the coils.

That's exactly what I'm going to do with the Silver Play the next time I open it up to look at the wicks. It came with a glass tank insert and a SS insert. So far, I've only used the glass, but now that I've got TC working for me, I'm gonna put the SS in it. I've gone through about 40mL with it so far, and everything is still going great. Titanium wire is exactly what I needed for this atty. 10 wrap dual coils at 2.4mm fits perfectly in the deck and flavor/vapor are phenomenal! Even better... it hasn't dropped out of TC mode at all. Every time I fire it up it just makes vapor...

Almost on par !?!
Well that's good, I haven't missed much.. The more shocking thing is its an almost 2 year old design. And not many people have it...

Well you kinda shot my interest in the aromizer..lol..lol.. Its really cool how they made the tank and air.. But I couldnt use that hideous band.. I mean you know how sleek and simplistic my ADC is.

I'm running a .62 ss43) right now... I like to fill it up with coil fpr flavor though like my old parallel 32s...

I tried a parallel 28g ss last night.. managed to get it to .4 ohms.. But alas the evic won't hold the ss build in tc. The vt seems to only like ss430 at .5-.6 range or it jumps out of temp mode.

When I re-build the Aromamizer, probably in another month given how well Ti and rayon work together, I'm doing dual horizontal coils on the two post deck. I'm sure I can stuff two 3mm, 7/8 turn coils in there with no problem at all. I have the three post deck as well, but think the two post will provide a better platform to keep everything identical from coil to coil.

Heres a shot of that coil.

Fev v3 28g ss430 .4 ohm 3mm

The Wick is temporary have to do it right.. Experimented with a wet, rolled tight wicking.. Waay too tight, no good.. Back to old faithful. Pinch, stretch, pull, squeak, and though to the other side.

Paul, if some of my other comments were offensive I won't say anything here but you need to get out more. (With a guardian of course). :matrix:

Lol... I set myself up for that one, now that I read it again, worse than I thought.. I meant the old way I've always.. Done it...No can't use that it also has a double meaning.. Used it, no... Performed a Wick insertion, no....double meaning... Installed a proper Rayon Wick.. There.

I'm running dual horizontal fused Claptons 26n80/36n80 2.5mm. I was using them vertical but found that there wasn't enough wick to keep up with the wattage I prefer to use to get warmth. It does chug juice, but all subohm tanks I own do. I DIY so it's not a concern.

Excuse the horrible iPhone 6 picture quality.

Thanks, I may have better luck with horizontal coils as I was running high watts too.

No problem. I enjoyed the vertical but it just didn't wick fast enough. Going horizontal was more about getting a better density of wick in the coil and on the deck.

I'm going to build again tonight with another standard fused (my go to 26/36n80) and make it a 7/64 (around 2.75mm) Allen wrench rather than the 2.5mm bit as I feel it may get too hot too quick and dry the wick faster than it can pull in more juice.

Not much in this post that isn't already known, but felt like sharing!

I ordered a new RBA head for my Delta II since I couldn't get the chimney apart, and ended up scratching it up and seeing what looked like brass underneath so decided better safe than sorry and chucked the old one. The new one came pre-installed with a cotton wicked coil. I decided to go ahead and use that first. I got *maybe* 15ml through it before it started tasting gnarly(er).

Re-wicked this morning with Sally's and my DIY Green Apple Menthol is so much more apple and menthol. And I'm actually getting a bit of a nic rush from it, which I definitely was not getting using the cotton.

I think I might have finally found part of my issue with wicking. Previously I had been pushing the tails way back from the juice channels to prevent clogging them up. However the wick that was preinstalled with the RBA head was right over the channels, I couldn't even see them down there. When I re-wicked I let the tails fall right at the edge of the deck so they're covering the channels, but not going into them. Haven't gone very hard at it yet, but so far so good!

For reference, the coil is reading at 1.1 and I'm going at it with 5.8v (~30.5W). I used ~1/2 the width of Sally's and got a nice squeak as I pulled through, no muted taste to start.

Three cheers for Rayon! :toast:
