Any pics of a Dvarw DL wicked with Rayon? A new member of the Rayon FB group would like to see some.

guys about this i was thinking it would be cool if we make a single Thread for each Atomizer with info/foto/video of our regenerations/wicking.

Especially for Rayon since there is rly few/none sources about it.

i was searchin for info about using Rayon on Tripod (wich i made it successfully) and Taifun GT4 (Still havent find a good solution that wont leak nor dryhits).

Something like "Taifun GT4 (building with Rayon)" or "Tripod (Rayon Wicking)".

Or even a Rayon Wicking thread that has only posts for each atty with pics etc...

ahahah

this should be a general purpose thread imho. 406 pages lol

It's not easy/quick to find infos regarding a single atomizer. That way would be a lot more time-efficient ;)

btw wasnt meant to be a critic..rather a possible adjunct/complement to this thread

Guys you have some foto or info for Taifun GT4?

I'm having difficulties with this atomizer since too low Rayon results in good flavor but terrible leaks while too much gives burn/rayoney taste. I'll post some pic tomorrow of my 1st tries.

If u have some tip, share it with me plz

I thought about this (risky) solution (yet to test it): making a thin tail covering only a small space of the big Wells and opening the JFC only (maximum) to that size. It May work?

No pictures but I wicked mine with Rayon about 4 times, and to me it was a serious PITA. (Steamer also has a DL, not sure of Rayon). After wicking the coil, there's a removable shield you put around the coil and that shield has the wick holes. So you need to lift the wick up like bunny ears to put through that shield on either side, and pull through. Then you gotta do the whole back and forth to get the twist out before cutting and thinning. Nothing special, thin a lot, great flavour, just not worth the effort to me. Cotton turned out much quicker for me

Thank you sir I will pass that along, there are some attys out there where Rayon is more of a PiTA to wick with than cotton. They are few and far between though.

Checking in to report back. Comair is the real deal. Much better than the other rayon that I had, which had clumps and was really difficult to get right without pulling it apart. Capillary action is also quite a bit better.

So, for anyone from the EU , Comair Viskose Watteschnur on Amazon.de

Guys i'm still stuck with the Taifun GT4 mystery :(
Someone can give me some advices (with Rayon ofc) or (even better) some photos?
My advice is keep it full and thick in the coil and thin the tails to remove half of the thickness.

Cool, i'll try thx. You have this atomizer?
I don't unfortunately, but if you post a picture of your wicking we can get a better sense of what's going wrong.

Looking at this picture coil width is going to play a huge factor in leaking, you need a wide coil.

    Hey all. Great Thread!
So, I finally gave in and ordered rayon and it should arrive any day now.
I usually change my cotton daily or every 2 days, not because the wick looks bad or anything, but rather because the coil gets gunked and needs a dry burn. I like tobaccos and sweet juices. Will my coils gunk less often with rayon? I'm afraid I have nothing to gain from rayon given the way I'm maintaining my coils.

for what i experienced (very few) and read (mostly on this forum) Rayon helps in several ways, including producing less gunk. The reason is the better wicking "speed", so your wire should be (constantly) more wet producing less side effects of vaping (wire gettin dark/burnt and gunked, ecc), increasing the longevity of Coils/Wicks.

Ofc if u vape a lot of organic liquids, u might need to change the coil anwyay ver soon..but will prolly be at least 2x the lifetime of same coil with cotton.

Based on very few tries i can confirm it actually does gunk less than cotton. I ve recoiled (and re-wicked) after about 30ml and the coil (the wire) was a lot darker (at least twice) than it used to be with cotton and i did change coil coz i was getting muted flavor, not coz it was rly gunked or gave dry hits / burn taste.
And prolly i only reached 30ml coz i m doing a lot of stress tests on rayon, using very high HF (for me at least).
Plus i vape kinda Chaining and with HighVG.

I cant say more than this coz i m a newbie of Rayon too, just made few test/tries.

If you already ordered it, u will see by yourself how good it is ;)
