I think you did kinda answer your own question..... :) I tend to replace my coils every few days.... I hear of people using the same coil for weeks and weeks, even a month or more......

I love that just wicked and coiled taste.....I am sort of OCD when it comes to cleaning a coil..... I burn it off, then I use little micro brushes to really clean, rinse and repeat. I even got some ss micro brushes for really getting in and around the insides of the coil and of course after all that messing with, I retest my resistance to make sure I didnt get it out of shape......

I just want a small dripper atty, with a small chamber, good taste and airflow like the Spheroid ( yes I said good airflow ) and the Phenom and well made..... I wish GP would make a drip short version of the Spheroid :)

So just to re cap, cause Im kinda slwooo..... THe Achilles is a dripper or a filler tank, is it smaller and does it have less air? I think if it is so, I might put that as a possible trade item in my ad.

I change my Wicks with every tank fill. 6-7ml* is the most I'd leave a wick to perform to its finest best. Whereafter it starts losing its wicking properties and I need to dry burn the coil as well. B'coz a gunked coil (even if it is slight) messes up the taste, don't they?

As re. the Coil, I can leave it in my tanks for many rewicks. I've kept the same coil for 2-3 months sometimes. But I usually get to replace them earlier just to try something new, but I know it could've lasted months.

*My Erlkonigin-Nano wicks see two tanks before replacement, it's 3ml you see.

I have almost bought one many times , but it scares be off for the same reason I dont get the Hellfire UFO little dripper....... I think it will probably be too hot for me........ I love the looks of both and the fact that they are designed as single coil atiies..........

Im scared to buy again, mostly because I hate to sell....... I always wonder WHY some one is selling off something supposedly so amazing...... I always think , probably because its not good, too hot, not enough air or they messed it up.
SO then I feel guilty selling something because I did not like it..... and it might ruin the rep of the item......

I don't find it very hot at all but I'm not building it low either. 1 ohm, single coil, 3mm ID, double twisted 28ga. Loving the flavor and it's putting out good vapor. The vape is warm, sure, but it's not overly so. I picked up the Tobeco clone to see if I like the design and I really do. I'm going to pick up the authentic at some point.

Not that low? .1 ? or did you mean 1.0 ? .... Honestly I wont go thru the trouble of twisting any wires except the R-Nr wires for my Odysseus's

Yeah, 1.0. That was supposed to be a period after either. I don't build any lower than .4 on anything and I rarely do that. I bought the pre-twisted wire from UD, works really well.

I can sense a degradation in taste after about 6mls in my RTAs. I believe that it's due to a gunked coil that isn't performing optimally. As such, I regularly take apart my RTAs, clean them, dry burn, and replace the wick. I think it's the cleaner coils that restore the wonderful flavor that I crave as the wicks that I dispose of usually look okay. Obviously, I put in a new wick after I dry burn, but I don't think that a used wick contributes to the degradation in flavor as much as a gunked coil does.

I hardly ever replace my coils. Over time, especially with GVC, gunk will collect on the decks of my RTAs and I will take out the coil and scrub them down after a while. Otherwise, unless the resistance has moved up on me, I'm content to leave my coils in place for months on end.

I just got a look at the Divo by Vicious Ant, looks right up my alley, 2 poles simple...... and the price is decent....

AND, paint it red and it does look like the Devo red hats....

I wanted to share...... Got the Prometey III Drip atty......

First impressions, beautiful......Nit picking, could use a bit less etchings...... Easy to build, kept it low on the deck, close to air intake..... Simple 1.0 coil with Kanthal and KGD.....
A bit on the airy side, kinda like it has too large a tank, too much space? Will have to see if lifting the coil a tad will help?

Taste is good, not mind blowing, again, first build and Im not the most experienced with drippers...... I like my Fatty better in flavour and the Spheroids..... DOnt know if I will keep this..... Will have to experiment, but dont want to keep it for too long and then no one will want to buy it if it goes to the classifieds.....

I think MY problem is that Im a dinosaur..... All the new drippers I try are designed for high performance, hence the airiness....... I dont go under 1.0 so the air design is not optimal for my needs..... Im sure this will shine on sub ohm set ups and duals etc.

I probably should have bought the reg tank with the fluff.....

WOWow. I wish mine was here :( always last in line. Oh well, can't do much about it. I'm sorry you don't like it. If I wasn't already looking for 1 more dripper, I would buy it off you :) But I have one in mind not listed yet. But it's semi airy, so it won't be your style anyway :) It's hard to get so, I'm refraining from naming it until I get my prize :)

Anavid, pm coming.

I love my DNA40 devices, but I have to, have to, change out the coils like every 2 or 3 days because I don't know of anyone who has found a way to clean them easily
(dry burn)... yeah its worth it to me, but a hassle.

I notice the difference on my coils after about 6ml. I burned an insulator dry burning before. Another melted enough where a post was spinning. I can definitely recognize the difference of a wick, but a fresh coil just makes the complete package. I try to build all my atomizers everyday. In the early morning or late evening :D I have been thru the Calix, Kayfun 4 and now that Phenomenon. Oh yeah almost forgot, I was using the Prometey 3 as well. :) I respect your all's decision to wick every month or months, but I can't do it :( I wish I could, but my juice profile changes enough were I lose my flavor :( >

I have the MK2R. Only one of 2 gennies I've ever liked. The other being the Origenny.

I've never owned one, but I saw the vid of cotton being used. It looks clean atop a mini mech, very low volume fluid capacity which I can deal with but all the gennie leaking stuff I've read would be a deal killer for me. You take your mk2r mobile?
