Same thing today, not much has changed. Got two cartos slowly dying on me, could be because I accidentally vaped flavoring instead of juice due to a miscommunication and my weak, old eyes. May try to use the steam cleaner trick on them (videos claim it'll work), but how much trouble do I want to go through for a >$2 atomizer when I've got twenty more? Eh, may throw them in my "?" baggie to fool with later.

Bad from a review's perspective, great for a vaper. The Grand's still hitting like a RPG against the side of a russian tank. Aside from the shorted atty causing the spring to constrict, NO issues.

Still loving the LR510 cartos on the mod. I know I'm definitely in the minority here, but I'm starting to prefer them over attys; they definitely enhance the 'throw it in your pocket for all day vaping' quality of this device.

Besides being a bit more forgiving, cartos slowly give up the ghost rather than attys that can and do die suddenly. A dying carto can still put out vape, but require a longer or harder inhale. I prefer that over an atty that can quit working between inhales and require a trip back to the house in the middle of the day or carrying extra supplies.

Hands down, best mod I've ever used for trouble free, enjoyable daily chain vaping. There's a couple of 4th gen (voltage regulating) mods that I'm eyeing (the Darwin and the precious L model version two with a Juice Dispenser), but I'm wondering why I should even mess with them considering the Grand is working so darned well.

I'm almost a month into this mod, and it's usually about this time that I start discovering the shortcomings, quirks or annoyances about a vape. Again, nothing to report.

Oh, no no no no. Thank YOU for suggesting it.

Though it may not really be relevant for me personally now. I'm just enjoying the living crap out of my LR carto on the Grand. Nice vape, and it really shines when taking a nice, long slow inhale. I don't think I can kill one of these things, especially with VG juice. Not even remotely worried about popping one like an atty, I can vape with impunity.

Going to take the time to drop by Sterno's this morning...he's going to set me up with some carmel kicker/virginia gold mixture that he's crazy about.

Started low carb again Saturday morning, and it seems I'm craving sweeter fruit and food flavors instead of old fashioned tobacco stuff. Wife was wondering if vaping these flavors could help those on a diet, too.

Well, I have a definite sweet tooth and we've been doing low carb, maintenance mostly, for years. I'm losing weight slowly, without trying, since we started vaping and even more so now that I'm craving sweet juices and using them.

Guess I'm not a veteran yet, darn it! Wonder if they're going to wait and do it at the same time I registered, or make me wait until the next day. Huh. Oh, well.

Sterno was gracious enough to give me a joye LR306 and clear (v1) drip tip last Friday. Been using it since then with no drop off in performance. Neat.

Couldn't help but notice that this atty LOVES to be really, really wet. Also a bit warm with a high drain 18650 pushing current through it. Seems to do better with tobacco flavors rather than the sweeter ones (still think LR cartos better for those). May have to try my virginia gold venom juice from e-liquid 8 with it.

With the mouthpiece, it gets warm to the point of tailpiping if you hit it too hard. This may not be a bad thing. Like my MkV rn4801 bottom fed mod, this may turn out to be a feature to keep you from getting it too hot.

Still tickled that it's held on this long without any malfunctions or needing maintenance. Tempted to see how long it can go without dying or needing servicing. Don't think I'll get any just yet...think I'll want to go through my (bad?) batch of EM LR510's and some cartos before I pop on more vaping supplies.

And to be honest, I haven't decided if I want to go Joye, EM, or Cisco on the next order, or if it should even be 510 or 306's. Too many decisions. I've also been a bit under the weather since yesterday, and I don't want to pop for supplies when I'm not on the top of my game.

Accordingly, I'll also wait a bit before I post and extended use review, though today is my one month mark already.

Still going strong on my joye LR306 atty generously donated by Sterno last Friday. Great vapor production on a tough little atty, reminds me of my rn4081's. I think taste is a little lacking compared to it's 510 cousin, but it's merits outweigh it's single deficiency. Impressive.

just recently got an adapter for my rn4081 and really enjoy this atty at six volts, excellent flavor... thanks clyde for the update

My office manager is still enjoying his Petercro MkV mod which uses the 4081. Excellent little atty, tough little hombre it is. The 306 also tailpipes if you get it too hot, like the 4081.

I'm still thinking the LR510 cartos work better at getting the most flavor out of sweeter juices though.

Been hearing that Redeyedancer is offering a free upgrade to existing Mini and Grand owners. Seems that he has tweaked the contact on his firing switch that enhances the mods. The new contact, which is included with new Mini orders shipping, needs less servicing (i.e., cleaning and applying noalox) than the prior version, and other users report longer battery life and enhanced performance.

Creates a bit of a problem, considering the Grand has not left my hands since I've gotten it. Vaping it exclusively. Considering that I think it works perfectly well as is, I wonder if it's worth going without it for at least a week (due to shipping, other report it leaves Reo's shop the same day its received).

That's a hell of a thing to say about the vaping experience of the Reo Grand, considering that I'm looking at my GGTS w/AVS, Carlos Juice box, and at least a couple of other mods that I own and catch myself thinking 'ehh...' about vaping them instead of my Grand. In comparison, when putting down other favorites before I felt a twinge of optimism about going back to my desk drawer mods.

I'm wondering if I should wait until after the holidays to ensure that it doesn't get bogged down in holiday shipping and cause a longer wait. Hmm...decisions, decisions.

Oh, the JoyeLR306 is still vaping like a champ. I was able to debridge a couple of EM LR510's and get some decent vape out of what had previously been unusable attys. Lots of people are reporting problems with them (unsatisfactory performance and short service life) on the Reo forum, and Reo's reporting that he's going to try a handful of his newest batch on the way to him and send his whole mega order back if they're not to snuff. I'm still good on attys or cartos, but don't think I'll buy any more of them when it's time to reorder. May have to try a couple of ciscos in the meanwhile.

The other hot topic of debate is high drain batteries on Reos in lieu of protected li-on's. Briefly put, the IMR camp believe them to carry better punch and have longer life when powering LR attys (amp issue) while the li-on camp believes that the protection circuits in the li-ons keep the from potentially melting your mod if you've got a shorted atty.

Lots to do today. Prepare for the holidays (last minute gifts, buy a ham, etc), take my old diesel to the mechanics for it's annual 'first of cold weather hissy fit', catch up on office work after the :censored:-busting court dockets of the last two weeks, etc. Not taking too much time off for Christmas, and I'd prefer to work until Saturday if I can get away with it. A disadvantage of being self employed on the holidays means work doesn't get done and you don't get paid, a concept that my wage earning friends don't quite grasp.

Happy holidays to all.

I agree there, anything I have with caramel in it seems to burn a touch with the 306.
Tastes great with the Cisco LR 510s though.

I haven't had a 306 on my grand in about 3 weeks now.

The mention of Rob's longer 306 drip tips got me to root around in my vaping supplies - I had gotten one as a freebie from IKV a while back and never tried it. Made a huge difference on the Grand for me. I will have to try a higher-resistance atty with caramel - it didn't taste good at all to me on the 306, so I just set it aside.

I haven't gotten around to trying a LR510 carto. I have a bunch of regulars, and don't care for them at all. I was a KR808 user for a long time and the 510's were a huge disappointment. But maybe the LR's are better.

I am hoping that the steam cleaner I put on my list is under the tree, as I have a pile of atty's waiting. If not, I'll be doing some after-Christmas shopping.

Two types. Tenergy lifpo4's and green Ultrafires. A ultrafire WF188 is a must have, especially with the tenergys. (IMHO, the charger that comes with the tenergy kit is rubbish.) Got the ultrafires off of ebay, and the tenergys from a brick and mortar store.

Vaporkings.com sells the tenergy and the charger for a decent price.
