Silverplay: "Designed with flavor production and cloud chasing in mind,"

    I fear we're growing apart, Ange.:rolleyes::wub::eek::yawn::cry::(

I ain't a cloud chaser OR a DL vaper - my fave rta is still your old favourite :wub:the sjmy doggy. And I still vape only MTL - just airy fairy MTL ;)

When you get your Rota, we can have mtl cloud competitions

I think cloud chasing is quite a bit of poetic license for the Silverplay... fluffy puffs maybe. I have it as open as it’ll go, and it’s not going to be drawing admiring looks from the cloud bros . Flavor IS good, and it has the capability of getting pretty darn mtl between the af holes and the grate that goes under the coil

Yeah, a year ago, I'd have definitely tried it. It really does look like it could be a winner. And what red-blooded American man isn't interested in T.I.T.s (seriously, that does look like a real engineering innovation!) But I got so ingrained with my doggies, then absolutely fell in love with the True, and have pods I haven't even tried yet, so I'm not even gonna try a new RTA anytime soon. In fact, I'm not even sure how I ended up on a RLH thread! Probably Ange's fault! ;)

Haven't done the reviews yet @NolaMel - youtube was being a tart yesterday so I read an eBook instead :w00t:

Yep, I dragged you in here - and we need your input/experience so hang around ;)

And it's more of a "RTAs that aren't beserker tight MTL - Everybody Welcome" thread anyway - everyone has different preferences and ideas of what is airy and what is tight :thumb:

You got me. Ordered the silverplay in gunmetal.
Eightvape did have the Silverplay for $10. I ended up getting one in every color after trying it. That and the Fresia are my dailies for RTAs. I hadn’t had one with the wick cage around the deck, so it was odd building the first couple times. Only sticking point I’ve found is, definitely trim the wick flush with the cage. Any longer and it mucks up the juice being able to move around the tank.

@NolaMel - what's the geekvape Ammit mtl RTA like? Found a store here in NZ that stocks it
It’s ok. I wasn’t blown away by the flavor. Air is good. To be fair to it, it came the same time as the Silverplay, so I haven’t put much time into trying different builds. Trying to remember who it was that really liked it... Hittman maybe??

Yeah, that's sort of my plan if I like it. Not sure about every color but at least a couple more. I'm mainly looking for an RTA that's easy to build. I have trouble trapping the leads on some RTAs because of a fine motor tremor.

The screws are pretty accessible, you don’t have to wedge the wire past a ledge to get it trapped. The cage for the wicking may work well for you since you won’t have to get the wick into holes. As always, excuse my poor photog unskills

I know, I know, this isn't such a TRUE thread, but thought I'd ask you, BrewD.... does yours just DRINK up v-liquid??
I don't really keep up with that much, but I'd say not at all - in fact, I have to compare it to the doggy, since that's probably been my most used tank. I usually fill in the am. At the end of the day, True was about as empty as my doggy. Because they're similar size, it didn't even occur to me until a few weeks of using it that it's only a 2ml tank vs. Doggy's 3.5. I still don't empty it by the end of the day, so I'd say it's very fuel efficient. Truth be told, being a diy'er, it doesn't matter that much to me, but it's nice I'm probably actually getting less juice in my system.

As I type this though, Kat (and just now noticing your emoji!)- it occurs to me that you're saying yours is guzzling? Compared to doggies?

I think ?? I run a little higher than you (13w), but it (in rotation with another mod/tank) still has juice when I go to the back of the house for the night. If it was a guzzler, it would be my vanity table tank by now . I like to fill and be set for the day.

My voice of reason, you! Thanks, Brew. In my "haste" I also didn't recall that the capacity of the TRUE was so teensy (and, just as you, I suppose I was drawing the comparison to the Doggers due to the size).

Add the actual (lesser) v-liquid capacity to the fact that I'm enjoying it so much and filling it so often, welp, there we have the new definition of guzzler!

Got my Silvervape 24 in from Eightvape today (fast shipping), gave it a good cleaning and built it without a lot of cursing or hair pulling. I like it well enough that I ordered a stainless and black one to go with the gunmetal I got today.

By the way, the gunmetal is a nice match on the gunmetal Colossal. Not quite as shiny but a very similar color tone. Looks good on there.

Glad you like it, it's certainly an RTA that intrigues me. Glad to hear it's a good match for my colossal

Fresia #3 on the way-ish (yay China mail :().
Has anyone tried the Cthulu hastur 24mm? I can’t remember why I passed it by, but it’s popped back up on my radar. It looks like some early issues have been fixed. Thoughts??? Hastur MTL RTA – CTHULHU MOD -Innovations for Vaping
