Fresia #3 on the way-ish (yay China mail :().
Has anyone tried the Cthulu hastur 24mm? I can’t remember why I passed it by, but it’s popped back up on my radar. It looks like some early issues have been fixed. Thoughts??? Hastur MTL RTA – CTHULHU MOD -Innovations for Vaping

Damnit, I'm still waiting on number 1 fresia to turn up ;)

I have the hastur 24mm firmly on the wish list. Love the fact that:
    It comes with 5 swappable air flow resisters(1.0mm, 1.6mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.5mm).
Flavour is meant to be superb. I kept buying more doggys instead of trying this ;)

They’re pretty reasonably priced. I may give it a go. Heaven knows how much I’ve spent on “Nope!!!” RTAs over the years, but they always seem to find a good home elsewhere. Except that poor berserker 1.5. It’s not quite as tight as a gnats azz anymore (to quote @AngeNZ , bestest description EVER!!!), but it’s not so pretty after a couple rounds with the drill press

That's the one I've been using this past year..

It's a great vape (awesome flavor, airflow, aesthetic) but the issues were the glass doesn't seat.

And yes, I see they said they went ahead and fixed that issue... you may as well give it a try.

I thought the airflow and flavor were good enough to put up with the seating issue for a year, so if it's truly fixed then it would be worth it.

I don't have the fixed version.

It's on my list--after the Fresia. I just remembered why I didn't order it in the first place--it was falling apart when one tried to access the deck. Now this issue seems to have been remedied. I really like the idea of simple inserts with different diameter air holes. I don't care for all those fancy "diffusers,"--honeycombs, slots, shower heads.

Why Svoemesto can't add a set of such inserts (1.8, 2, 2.5, 3mm) for the K5 is beyond me. I'd buy an original K5 in a heartbeat and be done with all this nonsense.

I actually don't like the JFC on the 5, it's too fiddly for my taste. I have that and the Taifun gt3 but on both of them I'm not thrilled with the jfc so even if they made inserts I wouldn't prefer them.

Thanks for the heads up on the Hastur cap. I bought one.

I ordered the Fresia on Feb.2, and just received an email saying they finally mailed it off yesterday.. lol.. so I'm figuring another month on the fresia.

Interesting. I never got one because I felt it would be too airy. I'd rather deal with the over-engineered K4; at least the vape is dreamy--once you get the thing built and screwed back together.

Pleasure. Hope it works. How do you feel about those sky decks? I'm a bit hesitant, frankly. I don't like the coil sitting too close to my lips, but that doesn't seem to be a problem with those newer tanks (unlike with Vivi Novas--I hated those).

Mine is in LA--stuck in customs.

I have the 4 and love it too. It was my first RTA and what I learned to build on.

The 5 has a little more airflow, but not so much that it's off putting. I can switch back and forth between the 4 and 5 and its not bothersome, although at one point I started preferring that little more air of the 5.

I've not had any issues with them..

ahh that sucks. I like LA customs more than Chicago, (anything is better than Chicago) but New York has the best customs. LA is slow...

Hopefully they will run it through soon for you!

Hastur 24 ordered via slooooooow boat. I’ll let you know (hopefully) if I like it in 30-45 days .

That frickin slow boat, I'm sure my fresia is on it instead of the royal mail express pony

Oh and I found another RTA with potential:

    (Pre-order)Dovape DO MTL RTA 2ml

In many ways innovative RTA offers an interestingly designed airflow, anti-spitback protection and two vaping styles. Dovape TO MTL RTA comes with something called "light-lung-inhale". While you can easily enjoy a tightless mouth to lung vaping, when choosing a suitable coil and properly adjusting the air, the RTA turns into a tank for direct lung hits. The air intakes are designed to provide an incredibly smooth and natural draw that will not limit you in any way. Vaping from DO RTA is as natural as breathing.

The simple deck with two contacts is sufficiently variable and offers plenty of space for a variety of coils. You can use both simple and fused clapton coils. With both, you can make the most of the DO RTA options. There are two top cap parts, one classic metal and the other plastic. While with one you will enjoy the usual vaping experience, the second will provide a cool vape to help discover the individual flavors of your e-liquid. The atomizer chimney design offers protection against spitback of e-liquid because the vapor does not flow directly into the drip tip from the base.

Cloudone v4 has been perfect for me , restricive draw ,
I only vape single coil Restricive DTL
Mtl just too tight dtl too airy
So i have a few 22-23mm RTAs i use religiously
Even vapor giant V4 mini can give a nice tight draw without using the mtl pin
Expromiser v3 has been good too
eXpromiser v4 out in month or 2 ,

I’m not familiar with any of those. Are they top fills?
