If they cost the same, I’ll buy the kit rather than just the mod. Odds are, it’s not junk to everyone. And you never know if you’ll like it till you try it.

I guess I’m not really picky about gear. I look at the specs and aesthetics, and buy what I think will suit me. If not, I’m not out that much. Little stuff is easy to get rid of when you need to. I’m a whole lot pickier about stuff that is too heavy for me to move lol.

A big factor is that I refuse to buy coils when I can make them much cheaper and tailor it to the way I like to vape, and only have to vape at 15 watts instead of 50 and make my battery last all day.
Most of the included tanks use only prebuilt coils.

I got a 50 year smoker to say that he was going to try to quit today. I walked him through my quit process, gave him a sourin drop, two cartridges, and half a bottle of naked 50mg. A client that I was nudging to switch to vape for the past two months.

Check your local VA. They may want them for those who can’t afford gear. I sent a bunch to my sister and BIL for the Vets

Smoant Battlestar RDA is on sale for $14 also at Eightvape. They also, have some other gear on clearance that I didn't find interesting but YMMV.

I've actually done that as well, but through DAV. VA wouldn't allow distribution of "tobacco" or flyers pertaining to it.
Also got a HUGE, I'm talking about 2200 or 2300, bottles of various E- liquids from a local shop when they closed their Oklahoma location, and didn't want to pay to ship them back to their home state.
We distributed them to Veterans and their family members, especially those deployed in areas where it was difficult to get supplies.
That was why I was thinking about the cost to PIF, because that one was expensive. I would've had to quit shipping before we ran out if a couple of other wonderful people hadn't stepped in and helped me with shipping.

I see $40 for the 200. Got a link?

I've seen the Mini on sale for under $20, but that one has issues with TC and aesthetics. I have one and don't really want another one.

Ok, yes they seem to be mostly drop ins.

Still if the kit is the same price, or if I could only get the color I want in a kit without it costing a bunch more...

As for keeping the kits together vs getting rid of stuff you won’t use, get rid of it. Make room for better. I mean life is too short to burden yourself with stuff.

eightvape.com and eightvape10 might still work for 10% off

And I get why people build. The control, the savings. I’m learning just in case I ever need to know. I’m getting some rebuildables to practice on, to have on hand. Because it sucks running out of coils.

But honestly I don’t love it. I have enough crap to fix around here. To me, it’s just another chore. I have an old house and something is always broken. I am fairly handy, but I’d rather not have to be. Coils are not that expensive, and I’d just as soon buy those and spend my time fixing my heater, because that is expensive to have fixed or replaced.

The VA can be a great option. I've gotten my share of kits where I didn't like the tank. I try to not let it pile up, but it is what it is. Any way you are comfortable, as far as splitting them up between the classies, the PIF thread, and for whatever is left, the VA. I've donated some stuff before, usually full starter kits or things I've won, if I don't dispose of them elsewhere.

No need to apologize about it! I think it would be a rare (or, rather undiscriminating vaper) to never obtain some things that they don't want to use. Etc. If you know they're going to stay in the discard pile forever, no reason not to figure out a way to best get rid of them.

So you finally did something good instead of just stirring the pot and causing trouble, mostly for me.....

I'm pretty sure we can trust him, he seems to be a member of the royal family of Nigeria.....

If you can't hold your beer AND do what it is you want to do..... it's probably a sign that what you are aching to do is not such a good idea.

Learned that one the hard way. It does lead me to a question that I've considered asking for a long time. LOL. Have you ever smoked a cigarette during sex? I'm not talking about the one afterward, that's kind of a given? But, quietly and quickly sort of well, it's hard to call it stealth smoking. I can proudly state that I've done that (and, also taken a quick sip of beer, here and there). What about vaping? I haven't (yet).

Nor have I gotten to "Yep, yep, yep," because the husband has realized that if he doesn't get the house sealed up before the true heat hits, his life will become very very unpleasant. He kind of lurches in at dinner time and talks about how tired and sad our life is.

I offered to help on multiple occasions, and he kept telling me stuff like, "You'd be useless to me." and "You don't have what it takes."

I was pretty indignant until I WATCHED him working under there in his hazmat suit. I no longer offer, not even SLIGHTLY. That is not an area of our house that I wish to inspect. Ever.
