I worked A/V for years. Mostly high end, but I still keep up with all facets of it.
I considered purchasing the X7 until I could convince my wife to let me get my AX100.
The X3 and X7 may be on the more economical side, but they're sound quality is on par with units costing 2 and 3 times as much. Even though FiiO has their own tonal characteristics, they are really quite nice.
I freakin' hate when Fasttech puts these codes up at the last minute (I've been stalking their Promotions page for days). I have a cart full of crap, but I missed it...
Now, the wait for a Memorial Day code begins...

(Besides, I just bought 4 leather purses on sale from eBags that may have totaled that amount.

) in a different color that I love, and a handful of Super Tank Minis have come in.Still on the way is a gunmetal Cylon, more drip tips, and a couple more of that
thing that I like in the last color (with another in black as a gift), 3 Zeus RTAs in the silver, black, and gunmetal colors, and a bunch of Therion doors (BF & regular). I think I'm missing something, so I guess I'll be surprised.

Astell & Kern have some very nice DAP's, not in my pay grade through. The Colorfly C3 and Gen 1 X3 are suffice for my humble listening.

My wife about sh#t a brick when she googled my AK100 and saw it was $650.
Luckily I still have a lot of connections or I wouldn't have been able to get one.
If I hadn't been able to get mine at cost, I would have gotten the X3 or X7.
The X3 is a great device, and I love the leather case you have on it!

We have a few available in our little employee store for around $60. Brand new we just pay cost...ish. Never looked into them. Crutchfield carries a lot I haven't looked at.

They're definitely worth it, and I love that I can use mines Wolfson DAC as a standalone as well.
May look into one. Really can't see using that much, maybe at work between testing.
