That is Very Russian. I'm half Russian and I can totally see the logic of taking a $20 item and encrusting it in diamonds so it's expensive, but even more unusable....

The husband gets ultimate say so in the Family Budget about items like these. I keep an eye on his tools.

I'm not necessarily even a diamonds fan, just the very idea of creating something so tacky but expensive sort of appeals to me....LOL.

Holy hand grenade that was a pita.
About dna, I understand why they are expensive, have 1.

However I don't understand why $200-$300 is considered ok for a plastic mod. Plastic.

To each his own. I expect any of you to kick me in my giblets if I ever purchase such a thing. Please. Hard.

@Walter_Sobchak , as an emotionologist I should inform you that it is possible to hold two (or more) contradictory emotions all at the same time. LOL.

One that frequently afflicts me is astonishment/amusement/horror (usually while driving). It's only when I add homicidal to the mix that I start getting worried..... Notice my mood chooser says "mellow." I think I selected it a while ago, am definitely not feeling "mellow" today, although I am feeling slightly better than yesterday (also a health thing) thank Goodness.

While I may complain about AZ in the summer, I will note that I have never required myself to chop wood in the snow, while sick, so there is THAT.

Feel "different" JFC, hopefully "better." LOL.

ETA: Just found "tired." That's a blanket on that works. Me and the husband both agreed that the boy has to have "bounced back" much more easily than us, from the Court Madness. We were both secretly terrified that they'd lock him up and put him back on probation which he already did once, and then we feared he'd become calloused and horrible from that unfair (3 year old outcome). Of course, he did go on a road trip the next day with pals, while I collected his dog. But yeah, tired works.

I know from personal experience what getting drawn into the system does to a person.

What helped me manifest resilience was/is the ability to see things through a spiritual (not religious) lense.

There’s also a concept in Zen thought entitled “mu” - it means “nothingness.”

There’s also another thought entitled “wu wei” (wu/mu means “not” and “wei” means “act”). The concept is that non-action is often a viable choice. When I was locked up, I spent a lot of time thinking about what I should NOT have done.

Even post-incarceration, I now get a lot of insight by thinking of how to handle things by “not doing” rather than by “doing.”

Life is like playing jazz. And the great jazz musicians generally agree that it’s the notes you don’t play that make the best song.

Sorry to thread jack. This stuff hits home for me and if I can help people on this subject, I like to at least try.

I liked the post not to minimize or trivialize what you were saying, cause I'm totally lost.

However I believe this profound, thus it should be liked. I'll catch up, but don't sweat thread jacking. It's almost an art here.

Yup. Some of my most profound actions involve doing nothing, and if I don't know what to do? I wait. That's like supremely hard. I got that not from incarceration (although I was once "jailed" in a psych hospital for like 6 weeks, it was a somewhat weird situation but it sure taught me about "power" and "being wrong" vs. "being happy") that, and getting sober. It's so easy to think that waiting on an outcome is easy, but it is not.

I get less impulsive all the time.... as long as my meds are right. Thankfully, I also "do" what I am told when it's important these days....

I am grateful for a lot of those memories, although at the time, well, I don't think I would be as happy as I am if I had not experienced about a decade of hell getting all that sorted out, some of the memories I have, I oddly cherish. They certainly taught me a lot. :)

Well, that Tonka Truck Yellow ain't happening. That leaves black, or wait.
Personally I'd wait knowing that Smoant puts out some attractive colors. I'm not a fan of solid black mods tho.

A lot of the HEMO "plastic" mods are Alumide or Nylon and and printed on SLS 3D printers, a startup desktop SLS 3D printer will run you about $8K, these are not the old $600 MakerBot's. ;)

There is a market for all pay grades, just think who would ever spend $7.5K for a turntable tone arm let alone $14 K for the cartridge... :D

I learned a long time ago sometimes it's just best to keep quiet and not ask questions. Too much knowing and you are toast.

I can relate to the absent of actions or even speaking keeping you safe or centered.

I've never been to jail but shared many times in the county psych ward, don't miss those days but imagine it's more secure than jail but still not somewhere you want to be where they hold you indefinitely based on how you communicate. You kinda grow into yourself there.

Just my thoughts.

It's within my nature to push humor in any situation.

Once upon a time I found myself intoxicated beyond what is considered reasonable on any planet and timeline. This combines with unfortunate events beyond my ability to process said events landed me on a locked floor for a few days.

I'm not going to bore you with the particulars or if it was truly justifiable my being there.

At the time though, I was quick to speak and less so to think.

While I sat with a visitor, who was the only person I said a word to while enjoying my stay, a young woman wondered into the common area.

She looked at us, calmly glided over (swear she glided) and seemingly floated in front of us.

"I had a cat. It was a good cat. " she said. "It was so good."

She then paused, looking past us and tilted her head.

"So good with a cheese sauce."

(There's no point to this, just chuckle. Go ahead, no one's looking)

B2K doesn't impress out of the box, but take that with a grain of salt because I've barely gotten my wick broken in. Nothing stands out as bad, it's just that there is so much better out there at all price ranges, including its own. The variety of included accessories really ends up being the most noteworthy thing about it.

That said, it does have a few really nice touches:

1) The deck is absolutely built for squonking. There is hardly any reservoir for dripping, but what is there leaves two very shallow pools of juice for your wick, with the rest getting sucked up. Very nice squonk action.

2) The notches on the deck seem to guide you to the appropriate angle, height AND overall diameter of your coil. I'll play around to find my personal ideal build, but basically if you can get your coiling rod to sit flush on the notches on the deck, you're good to go. IMO, this thing wants 4mm ID or even more.

3) 810 and 510 support is really nice. I have my Pulse22 tip on it right now, which looks a tad goofy but is really comfortable.

Anyway, way too early to put a real judgment on this, but the fact that the Entheon shorty caps arrived at the same time and knocked my socks off hasn't helped. So a quick note on those:

Quality is decent, though feels cheaper compared to the Psyclone Hadaly shorty Ultem cap. Overall chamber reduction is substantial, with a good 4mm off the top as compared to the stock stainless cap. Comfort and draw from the integrated tip is absolutely fantastic and a significant upgrade to the wide bore options on the standard cap. The contoured ceiling has been incorporated here, which is also excellent.

Without making any changes to my stock Entheon build, flavour has increased substantially, and somewhat surprisingly, heat and spitback aren't an issue (I build very high, almost to the top of the posts). Weight reduction is enormous, as expected and hotly anticipated.

Absolutely thrilled with the improvements from this cap design and having the black/white/clear options with it really pushes the (aesthetic) versatility of my Entheon over the top. A nice little upgrade that will ensure this RDA stays in rotation a long, long time.

Since I refuse to spend what an Entheon costs I ordered the B2K instead. I have no doubts (given the praise the Entheon has garnered) it's worth the amount, it's too high for me.

I'm looking forward to the B2K A little more now. Also looking for that gold deck. Thank you for sharing.

Well, I've spent a whole 15-20 minutes with it.

That's all that's needed.

If this were a first squonk, I think it would be ok. There are better options but this would do.

Enough has been said about it's power. Or rather lack thereof. What I'm amused by is sitting here looking it over I'm watching the ohms go from 28 to 26, back up, back down, back up, etc. I checked the RDA and it's fine. May put another on to see if it jumps per second like this one.

I'm no fan of proprietary bottles. However this one is ok. I prefer silicone, but the dual density is ok. The black bottle is plastic and just sucks. I'm no engineer but the slanted screen looks meh, could have been classier straight. The graphic on the back makes me feel like a short bus teenager. Hate it.

The fire button is huge and clicky. About all there is to say. The bottle door is ok, mine clicks and is flush.

Overall: a solid D. It's ok as a first squonker but you'll wanna move on quickly. The fit and finish is typical for the price range. The chips lack of power makes this ideal only for low power users. Forget 60 and up. It'll do it but you feel like you walked in on your significant other and another. Cheated and a lot disappointed..in yourself and it.

Take it as you wish. It's subjective after all. However I'm left wondering if iJoy just rushed or intentionally pulled a fast one here. Being first to market a 20700/21700 regulated squonk is one thing. This...is another. Many a fanboi and unsuspecting first timer may have dropped the $50+ on this mod, and I feel they didn't get what they paid for. That's a shame too. Squonking is a joy, just not iJoy.

(If you made it this far can I get an Amen?)

Amen!
I've been stung by iJoy a few times (Captain PD270, Limitless+) and it won't happen ever again.
