OMG, I didn't buy anything (obviously!) but I did fix one of my ego mega tanks. LOL, this is ONLY because I stopped fixating on the 510 pin and it was actually my 510 connection. It was depressed and stuck.

I actually DON'T feel depressed and stuck which is odd. LOL, I asked my mom to be my financial backup in case I can't sell a mod in time. LOL, she emailed me that she had sent me $500, texted me, and then called me. I guess she was concerned,. To be fair, if I were my OWN parent, I would be concerned. Heh. I would also be like, "You are an idiot, dude." She didn't actually say that she just said she was sorry that I was having a hard time and it was a gift.

I was like, "Mom, jeez thank you and everything but really I do NOT need it to be a gift it's not like it wasn't my own fault and everything and that it wasn't that I didn't have enough money, it was more skeezy consolidation place has most of my money. You have helped me ENOUGH in my life, and once I get skeezy place to release my money, I will pay you back I mean you have your OWN retirement to think about etc."

She agreed. I feel like such a grownup, LOL albeit a stupid one. She then quizzed me about the new job and would I actually make more money working and etc. I explained to her that I calculated the matter out and yes I would and what "return to work," means and that I could keep my current primary and hopefully secondary insurance for 8.5 years anyway and had like 9 months to even decide in Totality. She seemed relieved.

I told the husband we are budgeting together from now on, LOL. I have avoided this for a long time, mostly because my main memories about money involve lying in bed listening to my parents scream at each other about budgets and get a divorce in the end. I told the husband like, "I don't care if we argue, we're budgeting together.

The husband was fine with it he even just told me he was impressed with my "chillness"
as far as dealing with the second credit card consolidation place that I researched more thoroughly.

I'm a slow learner... Until I become a FAST learner.

No shinyitis happened. Obviously. But I'm pleased about my tank. LOL. I conceded defeat with the others and grabbed some tiny 2 ml ego tanks I have and put them on Big Mods in the hopes that a) I won't drop them (heavier) and b) if I do, they will have Some Protection. So I have to refill more frequently. Big Deal. Etc.

Happy Sunday! LOL.

My finances are about the same. I have enough of everything I need and then I have some excess and it covers extra's. I hate paying interest to ANYBODY for ANYTHING. Why give my money to someone else when it can be in my pocket. Have never in my life had a car payment. Just save and buy a slightly used and pay cash. My animals never go without and that is an expense that is unpredictable. I did apply for, and received a CARE credit card. Can be used for vet bills with almost no interest if you pay in the way you agree. I will use this if I ever have an enormous vet bill because I would not put something like that on a regular credit card for fear I might have to pay the bank interest. I hate the banks and their thievery. They will not pay me anything on CD"s or interest on savings yet they gouge others and take so much money from them in interest.

I had one car loan just to get my credit score up. They do discriminate against women in that way, unfortunately. My second car loan was 0% interest. I do not keep my extra money in the bank. Not in checking and I don’t even have a savings account . It’s all in a Roth. I pay no fees except transfer. It’s a truly sweet deal.

Since I can live within my means, and I sell stuff if I need a couple bucks extra, I can let the interest accumulate unless something unexpected happens- like dog illness. But I do have a separate fund just for them, too.

My advice to everyone is spend less than you make, save, and save it where it’ll work for you. Have a goal of having enough back up for any likely emergency.

I guess I’m a fine one to lecture, seeing all the shiny stuff I’ve bought lately, but I did not buy any for three years while I socked away my emergency funds.

I used to mostly buy used cars, but now that my husband’s gone, I don’t feel safe doing that. My next vehicle will likely be new, but either way I’ll pay cash if I can’t get 0% financing. I’ve already got a chunk set aside for the next ride lol.

This truly is the golden rule :) And if you buy a barely used car you do not have to soak up the depreciation yourself

And I have bought barely used cars that were fantastic. My Cougar. But without my mechanical man, I can’t possibly know what to look for. Just not worth the risk. My brother and his boys are really knowledgeable, but too biased. They keep pushing me toward Dodge trucks and and Chevy Malibu, no thanks. Just my personal bias. So I’m on my own with this.

At one point we had a 10K emergency backup fund, and I actually had a fair amount in my 401 K (I've been lucky with employee matching). I disbursed it all because it just so happened at the time that the market was pretty high.

But it's a lot easier when you are above the poverty line and etc.

We had a house fire, the husband has been disabled for a while, when I was working everything was fine, seriously but then I could not work, either. (LOL I actually don't think I knew how ill I was honestly until about a year in I kept querying my docs like, "Really, you think it's that bad?" They all said, "Anna, YES." Then I got told I needed 15K of dental work and not to mention all the pneumonias and stuff, and then buying nic (which I still remain firmly glad I did) and then the furnace/ac although I shouldn't have shinyitised as much as I did, probably, although to be fair I did not know ALL that was coming down the pike. LOL.

I've also visited food pantries (for me AND the kid) figured out some money saving stuff and etc., but also (the main part of my debt is from oral surgeries and whatnot) I blithely maintained an Amazon account when I was working and didn't think about it much. I should have, I so should have. It would have been cheaper to just BUY EVERYTHING outright and I even had the means to do so.... LOL.

So, some of it's my fault, some was unavoidable but I for SURE plan to get any non 0% credit debt (most of it is 0% currently) down ASAP as I build up a savings fund and etc.

I vastly preferred when we were solvent. I was kinda "not sure" about working full time but I sure hope I get hired, because frankly I have no desire to be in this situation EVER again, and the husband needs neck surgery. I really hope I get THIS job, mainly for well, everything but actual health insurance that isn't as my son calls it, "A little rape-y," (LOL I am using the term after telling the kiddo there was no such thing, when he referred to an acquaintance as such, I was like, "THAT IS A BLACK AND WHITE THING." Mine is pretty awful, though I must say, even with a buy up plan. Etc.

So... I agree 100%.

If you go the Japanese market (please no hate, they make better cars :w00t:) and get barely used and certified you get a warranty. Toyota is tops in my book. You can get barely used with less than 100K and it is only 1/3 of the cars life because if treated right (synthetic oil and maintenance) they will go to 300K. Most of the 2-3 year old ones have not converted to the CVT transmission that so many Nissans are having trouble with. I think they started converting in 2016. Mine is a 2014. Highlander. I already had a Toyota 4runner that was on its way to 300K when I decided to move cross country so I traded it in and bought another. The Highlander was 2 years old at the time. Less than 60K. I looked for months. Read reviews and such. Did my research. I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to pay and went to a dealer and insisted on a certified warranty. They will deal with older cars on the lot. 2 years old is old to them. I got a 4 cylinder because I also refuse to be a slave to the gas prices.

Nope. Not ever. I put over 300 k on my Cougar, and my Mustang has outlasted two of my family members Toyotas and some other piece of crap that was in the shop more than the driveway. Maybe just luck but I doubt it.

I don’t have anything against European cars, whether they’re good or bad. Asian cars, no. I’ll walk first. European car makers , for better or worse, designed their own parts. They’ve always been healthy competition for the American market. Asia stole all their earlier ideas, blatantly disregarded patents. It’s theft, 100%. I will never reward that.

Been a couple years for me. STM is the tank that saved vaping for me.
you know I guess it did for me too. I was still using the T2's and not satisfied any longer when the STM came out. I also found the Taifun at that time and learned about rebuildables.

The Kangartech TopTank mini kit was responsible for my first TC experience. I wouldn't call it exemplary.
MTL just frustrated me to no end and was going to quit vaping...then I read an article about sub ohm and the STM and thought maybe...my game changer had arrived.

That's awesome. I can say that my less than great TC experience lit the fire under my .... to get some better gear. So in a way, I can thank Kanger for motivating me to find what really worked. I suppose they're partly responsible for my vape gear addiction, too

I need to get serious about DIY. Running out of my favorite juices is just so traumatic. I've got a space set aside for my mad scientist lab, just need to pull the trigger on it. Anyone have some recommendations for a good supplier to start at where I could pick up a bunch of the basic stuff?
